My husband bought this for me in October for my birthday.....the shuffle mode apparently fails to work if you have more than 127 songs on it. I have 380 songs and I have to listen to them in alphabetical order to get the thing to play more than the same 15-20 songs it plays on shuffle mode. Now I can't get it to load more songs. The computer does not recognize the device anymore at all. Evidently there is a firmware update you can download to fix the shuffle problem and maybe the download problem. I found this info on the Sony site, however, you can't apply the update as the computer doesn't recognize the device! I would never buy another one of these devices....we paid 70 bucks for a fancy radio at this point. Will hold a buttload of music but you evidently have to load them all at the same time and listen to them in alphabetical order.....very annoyed and unhappy with this product.

This MP3 player is NOT compatible with Windows Media Player. It will not accept playlists so your music can not be organized. The player is only recognized as a generic USB storage device and not a media device. If you check on Google, this has been a problem for a few years. Unfortunately, I bought this as a Christmas gift and the 15 days expired before she received the gift. I am screwed. Can not even return this worthless device.

This device will not work with Window Media Player. It will not sync a playlist. Window only recognizes it as a generic USB storage device and not a media player. Google the problem, it has been ongoing since 2014 with no solution. I think Sony is pushing to use their own media player. Not going to happen.
