great great mp3 that can be used from all ages!!!!

Nice music player but wanted to be able to download music

I bought this to play audible book while traveling in the car. It is an extremely complicated process to load a book and required the purchase of an app for $25. There were no instructions on using the playback either with the product or online. The sound quality is good.

Why lock the volume control? Why put control buttons on top of buttons? Forces you to look at the device each time you want to change anything while running.

The first one kept turning off even though it was fully charged. I was sent a new one about a week ago, I drained the battery and fully charged and it dies after 7-8hrs playing music

This item is flawed. Earphones will not stay in to hear any thing. Have to hold plug in which defeats hands free operation. Am returning.

I've had the same Sony MP3 player for years. Loved it. access to playlist is very fast. Not this one. Old unit access time for this 1 playlist .2 seconds. This unit about a minutes. Windows Media Player won't put playlists on this unit. You have to use Program called Media-Go that Sony uses. Wow, what a disappointment.

cheep piece of ....well can't really say cheap, poorly made didnt hold music it showed it was there but when you selected to play it said error no music found. spent hours trying to load music finally took them both back to my local store.even geeksquad in the store couldnt get them to hold music

This product is horrible. So extremely small. Battery life is short. Once dead and charging, the playback is so quick, like the chipmunks are singing the songs. Skipping takes forever...and rewinding takes longer. I love Sony and Samsung products, but my goodness...I would not recommend this product.

Ive had actually have many of theese this newest one stopped working after a month I reset it good to go for three weeks stoped again reset it good for couple weeks now its just wont start just blank just so disapointing lot of time to load and get it how u want BOO HOO 10 weeks and notta

The mp3 player doesn't work when you try to power it up. You have to hit the reset button and it MIGHT work

I've been riding along with Sony Walkmans since my first cassette player back in the 90s - I even had a MiniDisc for a while - but this is the first time I've ever returned a Sony product. It's not that it's bad, it's just not as good as they used to be. I've had a Sony NWZ-E475 for years which I still love, but the hold button broke and the headphone jack doesn't always work properly. With that in mind, I decided to purchase this E395. First off, they're obviously using cheaper materials, which is fine since I only need it for running or working out. But on top of that, the screen resolution is down drastically and the sound quality is missing the Clear Bass audio technology that always made me stick with Sony, even when everyone else was jumping on the iPod bandwagon. The buttons are flush with the player, so it's hard to move to another song without having to pull the player out of my pocket. And it seems like the processor they're using must be older, because the player doesn't move around the menu as easily as the one I bought years ago. On the positive side, they finally moved over to micro USB, rather than the stupid proprietary plug Sony has been using for years. Honestly, none of these are deal breakers if you're looking for a basic mp3 player. But as I know what Sony is capable of when they actually care, I couldn't deal with it. I'm back to using my old NWZ-E475, but will order the new NW-A20 series, since it looks like they're keeping the features I love in the high-end models.

My son bought this for me and I love it! I had an old Sony Walkman but it didn't have as much storage as this one does. I can listen with this player all day while I work in the yard and don't have to worry about stopping to charge it. I definitely recommend this item!

I had a Sony Walkman mp3 player for 7 years. Last week the screen finally gave out, so I decided to purchase this one. My assumption was that the quality would be equal to the one that lasted so many years. Wrong. This one is made of cheap materials, has poor screen resolution, and doesn't have the same sound quality. The shuffle mode doesn't work properly - it always plays the same songs in the same order. I've tried resetting it - no change. I'm very disappointed and regret spending the $100 that I did. I really wanted to avoid going down the Apple road, but Sony has let me down..
