    Connection issue

Returned after a few days' usage. When in quality preferred mode, lost connection from time to time, connection preferred mode will solve the problem. Noise cancelling is just ok, not really an active noise cancelling.

Read some of the review and I thought Sony would make a great wireless headphone. The sound quality is not bad but not good enough for Sony. Noise Cancellation wasn't as expected and the right ear lose connection in charging case after 3 weeks use. Not recommended to buy any headphones from Sony again.

I use to own the JBL true wireless but they always lost connection between the headphones. I use them for the gym and daily routines to listen to music and podcast. These are the first I try and actually love and have a hard time getting them to lose connection. There is a setting on the Sony headphone app that let's you control the audio bass level, noise cancelling levels and if to focus on connectivity or sound quality.

Got these to replace my broken Sony WF-1000X and these were seriously disappointing. While the WF-1000X did not have the strongest bass they at least made up for it with the many features provided. Sound was weak that not even the noise cancelling feature was worth being a feature at all. Connectivity is weak as well, during the test I kept losing signal and both earbuds would flip the sound back and forth between the buds. I would not recommend these for daily use, maybe as a fashion statement yes but if you want more for your money I would look elsewhere.

      Hi CoachConge,

We do apologize for the inconvenience. In this case, you may try to reset the headphones to factory default setting to fix the issue. You may refer to this link for more information.

So I think my original review was good, they worked great. Then I started to go to the gym with them, and all of a sudden the connection would go in and out consistently. Too often the left ear bud would work the right wouldn't. Thinking maybe it's a power issue... I fully charged them, same issue. I mean I would be directly over my phone doing bench presses, and the connection was so horrid, I would rather not listen to music

These headphones had connection issues from the very beginning and the battery life on them is bad. Also had an issue with them not charging properly when they were in the case.

    Great Sound, Bad Connectivity

I've had these headphones for about a week, and have used them primarily at the gym and while walking around Manhattan. The sound quality is amazing, the equalizer settings are worthwhile, the design is comfortable, the controls are easy to use (albeit without volume controls), and the noise cancellation exceeded expectations when the music volume was high. HOWEVER: the right earpiece consistently disconnected at almost every intersection I crossed, and whenever a cab or police car drove by, and sometimes due to being close to a person with Bluetooth turned on on their phones. The left earpiece never disconnected from the phone, but the right one, which receives info from the left, not from the phone, has a weak connection to the master earpiece. Also due to this master/slave relationship and need to relay information from the phone to the left earpiece and then to the right while having them play at the same time, all videos are out of sync. My pair has been updated with the latest firmware from Sony as of the time of this posting, and while I believe it may have resolved the disconnection issue slightly, the radio strength between the two earpieces just isn't strong enough for city street interference.

Terrible connectivity in the right earbud

Unfortunately, as much as the earbuds had great sound quality and the build of the overall product was good, it has a fatal flaw: the right earbud has terrible connectivity, especially when I was taking a walk with my phone and listening to music. I had about seven cut outs a minute. I returned the item for the Anker Soundcore LIberty, a product for half the price, better battery life, and incredible battery life. Not to mention better connectivity. If you are having this problem, you can work around it by switching the left and right ears. Since I kept my phone in my right pocket, and since I believe the left earbud is the master, I believe this helped with connectivity between the various connection points. Downloading the Sony app that had an option for higher audio quality or more stable connection (and using the latter) did not help.

At first I thought maybe these wireless earphones will be great since they are Sony. The specs say that they last for about 3 hrs per charge but they don't, they last around less than 2 hrs. You get connection problems too because usually the right ear phone loses signal and it comes and goes. Even with the software updates the problem is still there.

While the sound on these are great for music everything else is absolutely terrible. The headphones couldn't keep a connection for more than 2 minutes. Either one or the other disconnected. Sometimes both. Also, the delay when watching video was atrocious.

I would love to give this unit a 5 star rating, since the audio and noise reduction is outstanding just like one would expect from a Sony product, but when the audio cuts out randomly for a few seconds or for a long period of time. At first I thought that it was just a bad unit so I exchanged it with another and still had the same issue. Which leave only one thought, the design of the unit is inferior. Which blows my mind as to why Sony would allow this design flaw to be released. I have another Sony bluetooth "wireless" headset that I will be going back to for the time being, but as for this product I cannot recommend until the issue is corrected. Great product, If you are not moving around or are alone.

So I purchased this wireless headphones with the best consideration for Sony in general but I guess this model proved me wrong. So if you think about watching a youtube video or any movie the delay is clearly unacceptable. Almost 1s-800ms making everything unwatchable. Connectivity very poor, I got an interference at my office and the left ear keept dissconecting. Noise cancellation is very good. Maybe for a music only user this headphones maybe are good, but thats not my case. Had to return them.

I will start this review by saying I love sony products especially the 1000x line of products which is the reason I was excited for this one to come to the US. Unfortunately I was let down in the most bitter way I could imagine. The sound on these headphones is actually pretty great. It has nice clear audio that I have come to expect from sony however; the problems arise pretty quickly once you start using them outside. Within the first few minutes of taking them out they would start skipping/dropping even with my phone right in my hand! and they would continue doing this randomly through out my use. I exchanged that set with another pair and unfortunately the same thing happened again. Unfortunately I can not recommend these to anyone as they are unusable with the connection issues and I will most likely end up returning them.
