    I'm So Disappointed

    These sound great for music and they are very comfortable, but those are the only positive attributes. I have been searching for nice comfortable headphones for years. All Apple earbuds hurt my ears. I went to Best Buy and asked for suggestions and these were highly recommended to me. I was so excited when I tried them out and they were actually comfortable and stayed put. I was able to make clear phone calls ONLY when I sat at my kitchen table, if I walked around, went outside, or tried them in the car, the caller could not hear anything I said over a loud crackling noise. The Sony Headset Connect app told me to update the software for the headphones to help with connectivity issues. I have spent TWO DAYS trying to update them but it reaches 50% (or less!) and then says "Software Transfer Failed." I tried chatting online with Sony only to find out that they couldn't help and I would have to call the Help number and start over because the online and phone techs are not connected. I spent HOURS on the phone with people who ranged from clueless to outright HOSTILE toward me and the problem. After complaining to a manager who seemed like he could care less, I was finally connected with a nice tech who seemed eager to help, but we had serious issues with the language barrier. I have reset my headphones, initialized them (reset factory settings), deleted the app and reloaded it, and today I exchanged them for a new pair. Guess what? SAME PROBLEM!!!! I'm so angry and disappointed. Please do not tell me to try troubleshooting or contact the Help center because I did and received no help whatsoever. I'm taking these back a final time and getting my money back. I suggest you save your money and your sanity and stay away from Sony. I will be returning these promptly.

    Sony I've updated the firmware and....

    I just bought these today. Put them in and was blown away, great sound quality, they are comfortable and the Sony app is well thought out. However, and this is a show stopper for me and most I would think, watching/streaming video is impossible. The lag is ridiculous, remember Sony, before you send me that cookie cutter comment, I updated the firmware. I am very, very disappointed. I went from being over the moon to living under a rock (made sense at the time) the moment I tried to watch youtube, netflix, hbo now...come on Sony, you are better than this. I bought my first Sony product in 6th grade, the Sony CFS-45 Boombox, I have been a Sony fan ever since. Cameras, TVs, laptops when they still made them, I could go on and on. That/this is the reason I am so disappointed. I will be returning the WF 1000X earbuds tomorrow.

    I just got mine this week end will be returning them as they are useless for my needs. Pro's They sound great and are designed great. Con's I have always loved Sony head phones in general and the Bluetooth one in particular. I've owned the MW600, the SBH50, the WH-1000XM2 They all had the unique function of pairing with two devices. I loved that about Sony, they are the only company innovative enough to do this. Not Beats, Not JBL, or Bose, but Sony. I loved the fact I can listen to my iPad for music and answer my phone when it rings These don't do that, in fact they don't do much. I can't advance to another song, replay or change the volume. I bought them for the hands free functionality and they don't do that either. It's a high price Bluetooth I have paired with my phone to drive and avoid getting a ticket. They should be waterproofed or rated, the cheaper models are but these are not. Sony please redesign these with above mentioned functions and I will sign your praises. These were a miss.

    Wanted to love these

    Just bought these as a comparison to the AirPods. I like AirPods but they let in too much outside noise, so I then turn the volume up too high. I have an iPhone 7 Plus for reference. I had a few issues. First, they paired right away via the headphone app (yay) and an update was found. I tried to update multiple times and it failed each time. I think the headphones time out and turn off. Then the right bud wouldn't stay paired for some reason when playing music. Ok, so I turn off/on again, and they work great! Then they kept shutting off for seemingly no reason. I get them paired again and they're working in the app, great, exit the app to go to my Music app and they unpair. I'm wondering if they only work with the app in the foreground? I don't know, but what I do know is I spent 20 or so minutes trying to listen to a song and I'm not going to do that so they are going back.

    Defnitely Not Noise Cacelling

    I am using this gear for a couple of days now. It looks amazing, but its function is not even near what a Sony product should do. I already used it for walks, office, and home hoping for a noise canceling function and I do not literally get any improvement than the passive noise canceling I already have had with my other earbuds. Furthermore, you would get constant disconnections and interruption when you get close to Wifi APs, and if you avoid them (can you?) it would good. Also, there is a serious lag when I am trying to watch a movie either on my laptop or smartphone which is annoying. All in all, I think, based on the price, it is a good wireless earbud if you just want to listen to music and you can get used to avoiding to getting too close to Wifi APs.

    I wish I had the option to give 0 stars. These headphones are terrible. For starters the right earbud only works intermittently. I googled why this happens...something with “stability” and how priority will automatically go to the left earbud. If you are paying $200 for headphones both earbuds better work. Second, when I watch videos on my phone while using the earbuds there is a lag with the sound. Again, if you are paying $200 for headphones they better work perfectly! I highly recommend NOT buying. I will be exchanging the Sony for Bose wireless set.

    Picked these up yesterday and was having some issues with left and right playing at the same time, left works then right works then both work then neither work. downloaded the app that it suggest and it said their was an update for the headphones, figured that would fix the problem, It didn't. after trying to get them working correctly for a while, I looked on sony.com for trouble shooting. it informed me that you should not use these near a 2.4gz wifi source and should be at least 50ft away if you encounter a problem. Where can you be 50ft from wifi these days. seems like a really stupid problem to know about and not have had a fix before releasing these to sale

    Poor connectivity, poor sound

    Got these to replace my broken Sony WF-1000X and these were seriously disappointing. While the WF-1000X did not have the strongest bass they at least made up for it with the many features provided. Sound was weak that not even the noise cancelling feature was worth being a feature at all. Connectivity is weak as well, during the test I kept losing signal and both earbuds would flip the sound back and forth between the buds. I would not recommend these for daily use, maybe as a fashion statement yes but if you want more for your money I would look elsewhere.

    Waste of $

    Due to the specs listed for these headphones, I was counting down the days until they were released. On paper, they have everything you would want in headphones/headset (wireless, noise-cancelling, etc). Want to use these for privately watching video? Playback is not synced so it is impossible. Want to use these for work/phone conversations? Also impossible because the other person can not hear you. Constantly getting claims that I am “muffled.” So these costs $200 plus however much business I have lost for customers not hearing me on calls and voicemails. So they are truly priceless.

    Sony got it wrong with these...

    I'm terribly frustrated with these in-ear 'bluetooth/wireless' headphones. They lose connection more oft than not, firmware update won't complete, as it fails after reaching 50%. I had a pair of Jabra Elite Sports that I was looking to replace after one of the earbuds went bad. Unfortunately Best Buy didn't have any Jabras at the store, so I decided to give these a try. The worst mistake, EVER. These are going back, after work and I'll be ordering the Jabra Elite Sports. I'll just have to wait for it to ship/arrive. Try again Sony!!!

    I bought these based on the good reviews for the full size over the ear 1000, unfortunately these are nowhere near the class of those. These failed miserably in stable connection, sound and build quality. I am not sure if I got a bad pair because the audio sounded distorted with all kinds of music. The connection kept dropping out on one side constantly. I was using an iPhone 8 as the BT a player. I never tested call quality as I was very disappointed right off the bat.

    I was hoping for a life saver by using these completely wireless earbuds, unfortunately it fell short (at least for me). 1st off, the volume is questionable. On my Galaxy note 8, the volume seems fine but when I switch it to my oneplus 6, the volume seems low even in max volume achieved. 2nd, the annoying hissing sound when it's at a certain volume which is really annoying. 3rd, the right earbuds do sometimes cut off for brief second but enough to annoy me. Not worth it at all for me.

    Too Expensive For What It's Worth

    During calls multiple people said they couldn't hear me and that I sound muffled with too much static. The volume control was poor listening to music even with the settings all the way up. The only thing good about the product was that it looked appealing and that it synced automatically when taken out of case. For the price your only purchasing the name. I took them back for a refund.

    - The signal will cut out a lot, you will think your left bud is broken. - It also is not very ergonomic, sticking out of your ear. - Charging case is big, probably 3x the size of airpod case. - Noise cancelling doesn't work well at all, I struggle to hear the difference and it sucks in the city. - Don't get it if you want to use it to play games or watch videos, there is a delay of about 1 second for me on most of my devices.

    So I think my original review was good, they worked great. Then I started to go to the gym with them, and all of a sudden the connection would go in and out consistently. Too often the left ear bud would work the right wouldn't. Thinking maybe it's a power issue... I fully charged them, same issue. I mean I would be directly over my phone doing bench presses, and the connection was so horrid, I would rather not listen to music

    For the premium price, it is disappointing that they would be defective so quick. My other son got the Apple version, and they are rock solid. The noise cancelling feature was what attracted my son to these, unfortunately the lack of charging renders them sound cancelling. I would consider another brand if I had the choice again.

    I was looking between these and others the thing that got me was the noise canceling. I tried them out and the battery life lasted about 3 hours and Sony does do a good job at giving it a premium feel. With all this being said I could not get over the lag on videos there is a 1-2 sec delay which for $200 that is not acceptable. I had to go back return these and get the AirPods which I should have done at the beginning.

    Wait for tech to mature

    Terrible sound. Points of comparison are limited to Bose SoundSport and wired headphones such as QuietComfort. Sound from the Sony headphones is flat. Changing the equalization settings didn’t seem to make a difference. Also, noise cancellation didn’t seem to have any impact. Check package contents against list of included items. My guess is a set of the wings weren’t included in early shipments.

    Battery sucks video qlty sucks

    The batteries are horrible on these things in the video lag is so horrible that you can't even watch a single video I don't even care how the audio quality is because I got them so that I could listen to music and watch videos and you can't even watch videos the lag is just horrendous

    Not worth the money

    At first I thought maybe these wireless earphones will be great since they are Sony. The specs say that they last for about 3 hrs per charge but they don't, they last around less than 2 hrs. You get connection problems too because usually the right ear phone loses signal and it comes and goes. Even with the software updates the problem is still there.
