These earbuds are absolutely amazing! Noise cancelling, with the right amount of base for the perfect sound! And let's not forget the battery life. I use these earbuds for a whole 8 hr work shift, putting them in the charging case during my lunch break while I enjoy my lunch with my coworkers to give them extra power to finish work and even go to the gym for two hours without having to charge them again. Simply amazing and I encourage you to purchase ASAP!

Honestly when you are outside running they can be not loud enough at times. I assume this is for safety reasons. Still lame. Other than that great sound and connectivity is improved from older sony bluetooh headphones. Also they do not fall out of your ear when you are running down hills and the battery life lasted for a whole 12 hour plane ride. I do not know how to really use many of the features.

The sound on these active noise cancelling (ANC) ear buds is excellent. Dare I bestow them in ear monitor (IEM) status? With the Sony headphone app you can further dial in the sound and other features to your liking. Compared to my standard AirPods, these are a definite step up in sound quality. However, the key differentiator of these buds from others is A-reasonably sealed for wet/sweaty use and B-ANC. I’m not going to dunk my buds in a glass of water to confirm A, so I’ll take there word for it. However, the ANC on these is pretty weak sauce. Do not expect anything like the quality of ANC in Sony’s over the ear headphones. I suppose for airplanes it will be fine, but you’ll still be hearing the local fitness junkies dropping the squat rack on quad blaster days. So The ANC is serviceable, but nothing amazing. The firmware is only 1.0, so perhaps there is a chance that Sony will ramp it up in the future. Speaking of 1.0, there are some rough edges. No deal breakers, but from time to time something just does work and the ear buds need to go back in the case for a second to reset them. The “tap on the side” system is also a little wonky from time to time. Again, I’m expecting software and firmware updates are not far off. The item nuts stay in my ears mostly fine, but they’re certainly not “glue” tight. Your mileage may vary. All in all they’re nice kit. Great sounding, water resistant, and some ANC. I’m glad I picked the up, warts and all. If your looking for killer ANC, these probably aren’t the o es you’re looking for.

I got these on sale a few weeks after they came out. I have to say, they exceeded expectations I had for earbuds. Full sound, good bass, clear mids and trebles, and all levels can be adjusted in Sony’s phone app for these earbuds. Usually, I have an issue with earbuds falling out of my ears. These come with different sizes for the pads and hooks. I have been able to use the stock ones without any issues. I have used these for working out and have never had them fall out during the month I have had them. I feel these earbuds are great! Sound quality is the best I have heard for similar price range products, they are comfortable, and the charging case gives plenty of extra charge when on the go!

So the whole reason I went looking for a new pair of Wireless earphones are becuase my dog got ahold of my Bose ones. I thought I would try them out, afterall, Sony is a really good brand. In my experience, whenever I try to switch it up and try something new, I end up regretting my decision. The earphones, for the purpose they are needed, work well. The noise cancellation works great, the fit is pretty good, not to big.. the sound is lacking some bass however. You do have to go in the Sony app for these and adjust the sound, but even after doing that, they still failed to measure up to the Bose I had. I think I will ultimately end up going back to my Bose, even though they were a little bigger in size. But these Sony’s lacked the adjustable volume on the actual piece, and no matter how much I pushed it in my ear, it just never seems loud enough. The charging case is compact and easy enough to store in your pocket or change purse if you carry that. Like I stated above, for the purpose of talking on the phone, it’s ok, but not if you play music or your Netflix.

These ear buds are amazing! I use them during my workouts and they do not disappoint. The only issue I have with them is during a run my right ear bud might have a small gap in it so the wind sound is amplified. The instructions/manual suggest removing the silicon piece and fitting with a larger. I did this and still get the same wind effect. My ear isn't that big because I can feel that the big size feels big so I don't know what's going on. The left side is completely fine with the normal fittings with no wind resistance sound while running. Other than that, sound quality is great. The noise cancelling feature that adjusts to ambient sound automatically is really cool and super helpful outside. These do not fall out during physical activity and stay in place. I've also used these outdoors while it was drizzling and they worked perfectly. If not for the right piece fitting/wind resistance sound while running these would be a 5. Still love them and would buy again.

Hi MrGadgets, thank you for purchasing our product. If you feel annoyed or uncomfortable with White noise or Wind noise, please change [NC/Ambient] mode to [OFF].
      How to change [NC/Ambient] settings:

If you have never connected to the Sony | Headphones Connect app: change [NC/Ambient] settings by tapping the touch sensor on the left headset.
If you have previously connected to the Sony | Headphones Connect app: change [NC/Ambient] settings using the Headphones Connect app => [Sound] -> [Ambient Sound Control] -> toggle left to turn off.

Sony Wireless Headphones are basically excellent . The noise canceling feature is just amazing combined with the adaptive sound . The acoustics are great. They feel so good in the ear almost and so far haven't fallen out . Also very water resistant. Bluetooth connectivity is a breeze ,literally connects in seconds just by removing them out of the case .The battery life is much better than average so you can you enjoy your music for hours. Simply placing them back into case they recharge themselves wirelessly .I will highly recommend purchasing them as they work as advertised and are an excellent value for the money.

This is my second pair of wireless earbuds, the first ones being Echo Buds. So I'll do a quick compare. Setting: I use my headphones mostly in crowded places like restaurants and cafeterias. ANC is a must have. The good: The Sony definitely offers superior sound quality when compared to the Echo Buds. The app is also easy to use. The Bad: Noise cancellation is way less effective than the Echo Buds. None of the ear tips that comes with the headphone fits well. They are too stiff and so the headphones keep coming loose. Fortunately I have some ear tips from an old Bestbuy wired headphones. They are made of really soft rubbery material. That made the difference. My Sony now stays in with a tight seal.

Lets this out of the way, the case is massive and these earbuds are ugly. However, if they do not care about that like me than these earbuds are great, and are great for working out. However if your budget allows it I would highly recommend upgrading to the WF-1000XM4's or WF-1000XM5's that have much better sound quality, and noise canceling. Although these earbuds have it beat when it comes to comfort as these earbuds have never gave me ear pain before.

The connection on these is really good over a range of distance. The sound is good well balanced though they are rated as extrabass i find the bass to be a little underwhelming but it is clean and will be more than enough for a lot of folks. I found the bass to be lacking in punchiness of the well known extrabass Sony. The volume is a little too low for me it leaves me wanting more when I need to pump up the volume. I am not able to figure out how to get the right bud to work by itself out of the box so this is a little frustrating. The left works fine but can't figure how to just pick the right and have it work on the go. Other than that these are really good buds and will tick a lot if boxes for many people the battery life is stellar and the case is massive.

Hi Raba, we're glad you like our product. The WF-SP800N truly wireless sports headphones combine long battery life, resistance to water and sweat, and deep bass sound with digital noise canceling. So when the going gets tough, they won't let you down.

To maximize the effectiveness of Noise Canceling and to achieve optimal Sound Quality (particularly bass frequencies) it is important to minimize any gap that exists between your ears and the earbuds. Please choose the size of earbuds and arc supporters that results in the tightest seal. (Try the earbud sizes in order from larger to smaller.) A tighter seal may also be achieved by lightly pulling up on the top of the ear and twisting the headset as you place it in your ear. To achieve maximum stability select the size of arc supporter that fits comfortably and snugly inside your ear grooves.

these Sony buds have a well balanced sound and do fit well in the ear too. The volume on these is relatively low and i found the bass to be subpar compared to the xb models but this could just be that I couldn't figure out a right fit for the tips. I also find it frustrating switching from one bud to the other if using only one piece. I haven't figured out the trick to seamlessly switch between left and right bud. Overall they are solid buds with excellent battery life and overall well balanced sound. For $199 I would definitely wait for the sales at times they are $148.

Theyre perfect if you spend your life in the gym or doing physical activities (although they do fall out ocassionally). The BASS Is PERFECT if youre intense and looking for a PUMP. The ambient sound and noise cancelling is SUPERB, especially if youre like me who works with clients and want ambient sound to hear what theyre saying and instantly swtich to noise cancelling to get back ib the GROOVE ( you can change the controls of the touch pad in the app and change the EQ BUT imma be honest i dont use the app very often ). The only REALLY ANNOYING PROBLEM is that they do have a very big HICCUP problem, to a point in spending around 5-10 minutes fiddling around in the settings, disconnecting, turning the bluetoth on and off, putting the headphonea back in the case, etc

They sound great, far better than most in ear headphones, and better overall compared to any others. They have rich deep bass and clear highs without mids drowning them out. They are very comfortable, have good battery life and are great for the gym. My only issue is not even with the headphone, but the ear supports. They wore out and broke after only a year and replacements are $30, but then again, I use them a lot. I mean, all the time.

Got these on sale. The sound quality is excellent, and the bass is very good. I prefer extra bass when listening to music. I haven't experienced any recurring disconnect issues. Occasionally they will not be recognized by the phone even when turned on, but this has happened on my phone with other wireless and wired headphones. Tap controls work very well, but I wish there was more custom configuration for them. This is my first set of noise cancelling headphones, and I feel that feature works great too. I need to mute in order to hear them.

I got these mainly for use when working out or on the move. I have a pair of over ear Sony headphones already, but they're not as suited for activity. These actually rest fairly well in the ear and I'm only worried about them falling out if I were to bump my ears. They're water resistant, so they can take a splash, but don't submerge them. Noise cancelling was kinda meh to me. Maybe it works better if you use the free custom ear shape sound calibration they offer. Battery life is okay. NC consumes more power. They've actually never died on me, as they charge when they're in the case. It's functional. Sound quality was great IMO. I was looking for a sporty alternative to airpods, and I've found them in these headphones.

First pair of modern true-wirless earbuds & there are a few aspects I'd like to cover.: 1) The fit compared to ear buds I've had in the past, is immaculate! Not worrying about how vigorous I go about an action/activity w/ the flexible mid-ear locking tips/wings is a game changer. Additionally the seal between the audio cups and the ear is complimented and reinforced by the tips/wings. Even when precipitation enters the equation, everything stays put. 2) I've switched from studio-grade wired headphones to using the "SPOONS" as primaries! The ability for spacial sound with these little suckers go a long way, they really hold up. It should be noted that i use these over Bluetooth with laptops and PC's that are equipped w/ wireless modules that interface w/ & take advantage of premium codecs and audio systems (DTS-X, Ultra, Unbound, ATMOS, TAHD, etx.). These factors combined w/ the onboard Sony 360 Audio feature, I didn't think I could expect the immersion level that the SP800N's deliver when diving into 10-bit media that has 5.1;AMTOS/TAHD and such. Overhead audio is something I tend to be keen on in action films, something people soundbars have been sought after for... well... I won't be get ting one of those as long as these buds keep spoiling me. 3) Paired with respective BT5.1+ source devices, the range is beyond amazing. Unconsciously, I actually mowed the lawn to a playlist while wearing these, not realizing that I left the tablet [Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+] in the basement office. Never dropped audio. 4) For that previous experience, I did find one grip. I'm not sure weather to file this under Sony's app not being intuitive enough in this regard, or the hardware not being able to accommodate what I sought. Nevertheless, while the touch functions can be customized, the user cannot set each individual function to a touch action, rather a choice must be made between predefined function sets. Take the "Ambient Sound Control" preset for example. This one preset contains two functions for a respective variation of touch actions: Tap; Noise Cancelling/Ambient Sound/Off and Long Press; Quick Attention. These cannot be further customized UNDER the preset, such as switching the long press to virtual assistant (although there is a virtual assistant preset for the various platforms). I've never been a crowd-go-er so I would have no need to test them in vocally loud environments. However, I have passed construction zones & mining sites, walked by central-air units, driven aside snow plows on the road & semi's on the freeway, walked through hen houses, stood at the center of MX arenas w/ about 70 riders on bikes & in buggies, along w/ a few other notable environments to test the audio-filtration of the WF-SP800N's. While I never depend on the aid of electronics for absolute silence (that's what compression silicone earplugs are for), I CAN say that the buds provide enough of an audio relief to give users the cut-off they need to perhaps focus & collect themselves from audible sensory overload. Overall, I chose a good pair for myself and would definitely buy these for others in my circle, likely even for co-workers to use in the office. That said, if you're interested, wait for a sale that won't have you forking over more than 140usd. OR just get a pair of the Sony WH1000XM3's, as they are commonly found for less than 160usd now in new condition if you know where/how to peruse.

I've been looking for years for a versatile Noise Cancelling in-ear headphone that are water resistant so I can use them for running, cycling, general exercise and yardwork, including mowing. They also had to have great sound, phone capability and good battery life. These headphones have exceeded my expectations. I can work all day in the yard, hop on my bike for a ride and then relax on the deck and still not come close to running out of battery. The noise reduction is good. It won't cancel out mower noise, but it will reduce it enough to hear music or listen to podcasts. Being able to adjust the amount of reduction is a great feature allowing you to reduce noise, but still hear important sounds. The mic picks up voice very well when on phone calls, and people on the other end of the line said my voice was clear and they had no problems hearing me. These were the only headphones on the market that checked every box for me. At $149, they were a great price.

I had previously purchased the higher end, 1000XM3, earbuds. They look nice and have a very premium feel. However they were very uncomfortable so I returned them. These went on sale and I decided to give them a shot. I work from home and take calls all day. They are light. They last a long time. The noise canceling is excellent and they have great audio quality for music. Highly recommend.

The Sony's are very good though and have nice sound, good fit, and easy connection. They will last about 8-11 hours of use and recharge each time they are placed in the case. I only have to charge them about once every 2 weeks or so.

I was late to the game for wireless earbuds, which was good and bad. Bad because I had been missing out on handsfree music and calls during walks and workouts. Good because with all the advancements made from the first generation earbuds to now, I've come in during a time of high quality earbuds. These earbuds are no exception, the sound, nose cancelling, comfort, and peace of mind that they aren't going to fall out are amazing. I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I can tell the difference between these and a different brand that ended up breaking on me before. Sony's quality is matching it even exceeding those of Bose and Apple, and they are still keeping their price point down. Love them!!!
