The sound, noise cancelling, and battery life are excellent but the foam tips provided were not comfortable. I was close to returning them because of the fit but I purchase silicone tips and this made them more comfortable to wear. Silicone tips tends to slide out of bit but I'll continue to look for alternative ear tips that stay put.

Haven’t used the Galaxy Buds! I own the Jabra Elite 75T & 85T, Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds, Apple AirPods Pro, and The Sony XM4’s. Jabra had pretty good sound (heavy bass)/call quality, not so good noise canceling or pass through hearing on either pair. They fit great and were comfortable while wearing. The Bose QC Earbuds sounded great (little bass heavy-easy fix w/eq) and were great at noise canceling but the ambient sound mode was lacking. The Bose fit great and weren’t budging until I physically pulled them off. I really like the AirPods Pro at the office. They work flawlessly with my iPhone. They sound ok for music but that’s not why I haven’t sold them yet. They have the best ambient sound out of anything I’ve used, noise canceling mode is meh even with a snug fit, and call quality is the best out of the earbuds I’ve used. They tend to want to creep out of my ears if I start to sweat while working out. The Sony XM4’s have the best sound and noise canceling I’ve used. The call quality gets the job done, but could be better. Hoping there’s a software fix for that. The ambient sound mode is almost right there with the AirPods Pro. I just prefer the way it feels like there’s almost nothing there with the AirPods. The Sony’s fit well and stay in place. No creeping yet due to the new tips. ***Battery Life from Best to Worst : Bose, Sony, Jabra, AirPods - if I remember correctly?!?! ***Case Size/Form Factor Best to Worst (Honestly don’t care but): AirPods, Sony, Jabra, Bose. ***Overall Ear Fit Best to Worst : Bose, Sony, Jabra, AirPods. I can get used to the feeling of the ambient sound on the Sony’s (gets better every day) but the call quality needs improvement. But that’s not why I bought the XM4’s. They truly have an amazing sound stage. The app has some nice features and gives you a few different options to customize the earbuds to your liking. Overall if I had to choose one pair it would be the Sony XM4’s hands down. SONY - FIX THE CALL QUALITY - Please!

The Sony WF-1000XM4 true wireless earbuds are exceptional. The sound quality is outstanding. These deliver a slightly accentuated bass response and clear mids and highs. They seem to replicate the sound signature of the WH-1000XM4 over the ear headphones. Listening to them back-to-back the similarities are apparent. Jazz, Hip-Hop, Latin/Salsa, R&B and Contemporary Rock all sound great. Noise cancellation is also exceptional. At moderate volumes and maximum noise cancellation, one can easily disappear into whatever media happens to be playing. Playing Feels by Tory Lanez at approximately 75% volume and the highs are nicely balanced against a fully expressed bass. Marc Anthony's Parecen Viernes comes alive with the WF-1000XM4's at the same volume. The mids are more straightforward and remind me of the live concert. Marc Anthony's Celos is my go-to song to benchmark speakers. While the XM4's lack the same punch as Klipsch speakers, the sound quality and fidelity is fantastic. I'm connected using the LDAC CODEC and I could not be happier with how music sounds. The other "plus" is Sony's Headphones app. There are great functions for noise cancellation or to focus on voices. I'd recommend fiddling around with the littany of settings available to you. The XM4's can charge via USB-C or Qi wireless charging. I got a full charge within about 45 minutes of unpacking. The app will give you battery levels for each earbud and the case. Now for the downside. At the time of this review, I had the XM4's paired to a Google Pixel 6 Pro. I'm not sure if it was the phone or the earbuds, but every time I stopped the music the left earbud would not play when I re-started the music. Clearing the cache and stopping YouTube Music would resolve the problem. I could also remove the left earbud and re-insert it into my ear and continue as normal. This seems to be fairly common issue being reported with firmware 1.2.6 on Android devices. I can easily replicate the problem by stopping playback or switching to another media source and then switching back. Going through the same sequence on the Google Pixel Buds A Series does not cause one of the buds to stop playing. These are great for general listening, but you might want different earbuds for intense workouts. I have knocked the XM4's out of my ears while removing a bag with a cross-body strap. Also, I did not like the default ear tips. I ordered aftermarket tips from Dekoni which are OK. I would recommend you purchase the Comply tips for Sony and call it a day. All in all, I don't think there are any other true wireless earbuds which can outperform the WF-1000XM4's. Every other earbud will demand a compromise in battery life, sound quality, noise cancellation, cost or customization. These seem to be the best-performing, all-around premium earbuds.

I’ve been a huge fan of the Power Beats Pro and was using them for two years until the I decided on finding a set of earbuds that we're more focused on noise cancelling. I really love these Sony WF1000XM4s because of how small the case is to carry around with me. And more importantly the noise cancelling is second to none. I have a pair of the Bose over the ear headphones and they don't do as good a job as the Sonys do. Also having the ability to switch from noise cancelling to allow for ambient sound is a feature I use a lot to stay engaged with my surrounding. The battery life is really good on these too. Sony has an equalizer function within it's app to hear your music differently. I use the Tidal app for music and it sounds incredible. I now hear notes and sounds in the backgrounds I've never noticed before with music I've frequently listen to. One thing that really surprised me is how good they sound when answering a calls and talking on the phone. My only complaint is when phone calls come in I usually have to switch my phone to select the bluetooth audio when answering or making a call. My other headphones would normally switch over automatically. One last side note, I like the matte finish on the case because the PowerBeats Pros would slip out of my hands on a regular basis, it was very annoying. Bottomline, pick these up today and you will not be disappointed!

Excellent headphones for workout. Little bassy sound. It goes to likeness of individual taste. Good battery life. Highly recommended product.

Honestly these have been probably the best performing ANC buds that I have used. Unfortunately, I ended up returning them as I had kept getting defective ones with pinging sounds when talking over the phone. It sounded like the speakers were loose in the buds. I had the problem across 3 pairs of these, with only the first pair not having the pinging sound from the left earbud. Anyway for the pros and cons: Pros: - Love how these sound. Paired with the EQ settings in the Sony app you can really customize it to your own liking. - Great Sony Headphones app to change settings. - Supports LDAC playback, which is great for lossless listening. - Swiftpair makes it super easy to switch between devices - ANC is REALLY good. Its so quiet that its almost disorienting at times. Cons: - Case feels a little flimsy. - Earbuds are bulky and were uncomfortable for me (may vary eveyone). I ended up getting Spinfit 360 tips which made them a little more bearable over the stock foam tips. Verdict: I highly recommend trying out these headphones. They are super well rounded for the price you pay for these, and have a lot to offer. However, I don't think QC is the best right now, just make sure you get a good pair.

More like 4 and half stars. They sound incredible and the apps it comes with are handy and they support high resolution files. They're just a little uncomfortable for my smaller ears, but I really like them. The noise cancellation on them is superb.

Amazing sound! Heard notes in songs that I never hear before. The music and movie sound are great. Good battery life too. Great buy!!

I love these. Normally, I prefer over-the-ear headphones but for the gym and cardio, etc., I need something at the very least water-resistant. I bought these with the caveat that I'd return them in a few days if I didn't like them, but it turns out I love them. After switching the rubber tips (provided) to the larger size that fit my ears, the bass comes alive, as does the treble, all the range of sound—unlike Bose sets I've tried, which just give bass bass bass. And I love the convenience of the XM4's settings and features, like stopping as soon as I take one or both out of my ear(s), the app with its highly adaptable equalizer, the generous but specific touch area that makes it easier to handle them without changing functions—as well as easier to change functions. Wireless charging is always a plus. I do wish they made these in different colors, other than Apple-y white and the matte black—which I got, and is very attractive with the bronze accents, but easy to overlook when I drop them or the charging case somewhere in my car, in a darkened room, etc. Anyway, well worth the cost. Probably the best investment I've made this year.

Noise cancelling work well. Fit takes a little time getting adjusted too but not overly uncomfortable at first. Only complaint is lack of customization for touch controls. The buds have preset combinations of touch controls but currently no way to customize taps/gestures. Battery life is great and takes little time to charge fully. Sound is good. There is a "Ambient Mode" that turns off noise cancelling and uses the microphones to pass in ambient sound. The sound that passes through sounds pretty bad so I usually opt to remove one bud if I need to talk to someone or listen to my surroundings.

Pros : Sounds good. Gets fairly loud. Charge case is small enough to fit in small pocket of jeans (barely). Battery life seems good. Sensing seems to work good, as ive got it set so when i remove one, it switches to Ambient mode so i can talk. Wireless charging means i can reverse charge it from my phone (which is very handy) Cons: Software. Cannot set touch sensor controls individually. Can only pick from a couple of pre-set groups, even if you only want specific functions from that group. So cannot mix and match for your preferences. Id like to put in the ANC switch in with the volume controls (for example). Hopefully, Sony can fix this oversight with an update.

These ear buds have great sound but shift into noise cancellation on their own. Left ear is controls noise cancellation right ear controls media which I think is a major let down that both earbuds don’t work the same like MANY other brands which control both noise cancellation AND media. Bass and stereo sound is excellent, battery life is good but for the price I feel these are not worth the money.

1 year 3 months later. 1000+ hrs of use. Great earbuds. I Would recomend for anyone looking to buy these. Dispite bad reviews on the battery life, i never had a problem (until now). They work and sound great with my samsung phone but when i use these with my tab 8 ultra tablet they sounds out of this world. Sadly after 1000 plus hours the battery life has depleted. But 1000 hours is quite alot. I would buy again..

These headphones are some of the best in quality that I have ever owned. Sound is excellent for music, radio podcast, movies etc.. To me they were worth every penny.

These pair of earpods is really great! I liked the fit as well as the sound quality. The pairing was not interfered anytime. The transparency is decent and The noise cancelling is great with adaptive technology, which is cool. The call quality is also great and overall it is perfect for everyday wear as well as for conference call and other such things.

Great earbuds to use. The supplied tips provide a great fit and the sound is awesome. The EQ can be adjusted for better sound quality as well. I would recommend not going with these due to Sony's latest defect in the 1.5 firmware which results in incorrect battery charging/reporting. This manifests in insane battery drain of at least one of the earbuds.
