I had the sony wf 1000xm3 and they were amazing but the case was a little big and so were the buds but they sounded amazing. These new headphones fixes both of those things the new case is so small and the buds are a lot more comfortable now. Sound quality was improved slightly and these are hands down the best ear buds ive ever heard. Sound canceling is amazing and the new features are great. When i start speaking to someone it mutes and audio and turns on the microphones so i can hear them. They worked right out of the box and had a 60% charge on them. 100% worth the money id buy these again!

Rapid Battery Life Deterioration

The sound quality is immaculate and the ability to change how much background noise is allowed through the headphones was a real game changer for me. You do need to have the right headphone in your ear in order for it to be active. Listening with just your left ear is not possible (unless there was an update that I never got hold of). Connectivity can be a bit wonky at times. The range is roughly a room and a half away from your device. When it comes to reconnecting, I've found that sometimes it's just better to completely forget device, and then re-pair it if it's not responding. All of that considered, these were the best headphones that I've ever owned! Easily blew the competition I had previously used out of the water. That being said... At some point there was a software update put out to help with a connectivity issue that I was experiencing. After I downloaded the update, the headphones refused to completely charge. Time and time again I'd come back to an overheating case with the flashing red light and when I'd plug them in, I'd hear that the battery was full, but it would announce "Low Battery" not even two hours later. Overtime it got worse and worse and now I'm at the point where it won't even charge completely. When I plug them in the lady announces, "Battery, about 40%" before powering down (without an announcement) not even ten minutes later. Apparently, there was a return window that I could have taken advantage of at some point, but I didn't learn about it until maybe a month ago. I'm unsure about how good a fresh new pair of these is nowadays, but if they last as long as they claim to, then go for the buy! The sound quality and features are worth it alone. Hopefully, they won't release another update that will cut your battery life in half.

You may also be experiencing a symptom called listener fatigue. That is where your eardrums work hard to manage the volume that flows through your ear canal. The louder the volume, the bigger the strain on your eardrums, which then causes the feeling of fatigue. Lowering the volume or take a break from wearing them for a while helps fix this issue.

Best buds i have ever owned

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible sound quality, fit took a minute to get used to but It’s comfortable enough to me now, i might still upgrade the tips. The real problem is the main body of the pods stick out a decent bit towards the lower back end of your ear, right behind the tips, and it may press on your outer ear based on shape. That being said, i did find these slightly uncomfortable for long use at first, and i don’t know if my ear just because accustomed or if I’m somehow fitting them better, but i now (after just 2 weeks) feel zero discomfort with them in, so don’t give up too quick, they’re worth it. EQ presets are solid, i like the “Excited” preset for most of my use, and the noise canceling is GOAT for buds like these. i Engineer/Program for a machine shop and when i step on the floor these are capable of taking concert level volumes to almost pure silence. Charging case is amazing, buds are full charged wildly quick, it looks sexy, feels sturdy, and charges quick itself via usb-c. As far as the buds themself go, visually i personally think they look great. I love the copper accents towards the bottom, and contrary to some other reviewers, they absolutely do not look ridiculous head on. these buds aren’t the slimmest but i 100% would still consider them sleek and low profile, any extra width, in my opinion, is acceptable based on the design, they just look good! Every time i see people with AirPods, i really almost can’t help but laugh a little how ridiculous it looks, these are nothing like that, don’t believe the people saying they look out of place/too bulky, they look better in ear than 99% on the market. Personally i highly recommend these, there is a solid price to pay, but if you want the finest grab em’ i don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

The noise cancelling works well and they work with just 1 ear bud in as well. The app for them is kind of annoying and the fit in my ears took some getting used to but the sound quality and battery life have been great. I work 10+ hour shifts and only have to put them back in the case once for 15 or so minutes to charge and the I'm good for the last hour or so of work.

The WF 1000XM3 are alot more comfortable to me. The sound and noise canceling are amazing and noticeably better that the WF 1000XM3

If you already change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly into your ears, we suggest to gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into the ear canal and adjust the positioning of the headset unit until it fits comfortably. Wait for about 10 seconds for the earbud tip shape to stabilize to reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones. You may also be experiencing a symptom called listener fatigue. That is where your eardrums work hard to manage the volume that flows through your ear canal. The louder the volume, the bigger the strain on your eardrums, which then causes the feeling of fatigue. Great but issues with the case

The only issue I have with the product is the quality of the case. The hinge on mine was a bit loose out of the box causing it to creak and feel cheap when you open and close it. This does not affect the functionality of the product but for the price tag it should not be an issue. The case on my original samsung galaxy buds felt much nicer for a product that was only a fraction of the cost.

Best wireless IEM's you can get!!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, I'd like to mention the ANC/passive isolation capabilities of these are absolutely top-tier and at the moment; unbeatable. Now on to sound quality, Download the Sony app and keep the EQ to "off" but play around with all of the other setting and features, because there are alot of those. Then I'd recommend getting Wavelet, and using the EQ and bass Tuner to just... Blow your mind away. Bone rattling bass, sparkly highs, and full mids; these will do them all with zero hint of distortion (given you use the compressor if you boost above 3db). Factory timing is fairly flat with an obvious focus on low and mid frequencies, but after some tuning you'll get whatever sound you're looking for!! Now on to fit, these contain foam eartips that provide unmatched isolation and fit, but can get a bit fatiguing after 2 or so hours. PEOPLE WITH SMALL EARS AVOID THESE!!! Sure, they will fit, but you need to be able to create a tight seal with the earbuds sitting flush inside your ear, people with very small ears will not be able to fit them as they need to, so bass and ANC performance will suffer. If you have normal, or large ears, they create an incredibly secure and almost ingenious fit with the way they fit snug getting almost gripped by that flappy part in front of your ear canal. As far as features go, these are absolutely the most feature rich on the market, with options like 20-step passive mode, talk-to-chat, and the EQ (though it doesn't do much, set it to off, and use Wavelet; other eq's tend to have distortion so I recommend Wavelet)

POOR battery life after one year

BUT...the left unit will not hold a charge as long as the right unit. These were purchased in June 2022 (18 months ago), and I can barely get an hour or two out of the left unit before it says to re-charge. The right one will last the full 4-5 hours. Love the sound, hate the battery. Proceed with caution. The photo shows the unit after using about ten minutes after a full charge.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll put first the Cons , cause that's what you are looking for: ('m a music producer so you'll get an honest one from me Cons: - the EQ only works until around 60% of volume, then the EQ audio becomes extremely ugly with a kind of FLAT EQ, aka you have no bass no trebles etc ...... so you will never make these sound like the biggest competition headphones if you want to blast the volume high and not loose the EQ. This is a BIG CONS :( Pros: - the sound is amazing, sadly until 60% of volume; they sound better than the best headphones such famous 'S' brand makes, which I own too. - they are so confortable, no pain in the ear, nothing - it's also amazing that you have google's assistant ready for you any time you need it - noise cancelling and speak to chat is also great Conclusion: SONY please make them sound good through the entire range of volume and you'll have the best air headphones ever!
