The case and earbuds both after a little year use, of what I would consider light are no longer holding a charge. also very convenient for Sony they only have their warranty for a year. What good is a $300 pair of earbuds if they last only a year? I cannot recommend them, and I would avoid any battery powered Sony products of this is their quality. Screenshot attached after a full night of charging. It's getting worse day by day.

My issues with the XM3 was the battery life, heavy earbuds that fall off and grainy call quality but Sony has clearly addressed all of these issues. The XM4s fit perfectly in my ears without falling off and people can hear me much better during calls. And the noise cancelling sounds about as good as my WH XM4 headphones(that i wished they also included the multipoint bluetooth feature in the WF XM4 but it's all good though).

Lots of glitches of the left one turning off randomly. Updates came out and they fixed that issue but now my right one doesn’t last longer than 45 minutes. Lots of issues for a premium product. Call quality wasn’t very good either for someone in the other line. ANC is top notch.

One of them has a bad battery, but that seemed to be an issue with the higher end models. Would still recommend, just get an extended warranty just in case.

Sony maintains a very good noise cancellation when compared to other wireless sets. Although foam ear plugs are comfortable, getting a replacement might be a challenge.

My only complaint will be that it does not provide a clear sound when answering phone calls at least for me. I first tried the airpodd pro which were great but they keept falling so I had to returned them, then I purchased the new Bose airbuds which are good but the sound is just flat good there is no excitement plus I sure don't like big buttons coming out of my ears.

Good purchase for a 10k Race

They and the associated app are easy to use and everything for me to run a 10K in less than a week after receiving them. Sony also recently pushed out a software update that allows them to pair to multiple devices at once.

From how comfortable they are to wear, to how scary well the noise cancellation works on these earbuds, words would not do them any justice, you would have to try these out for yourself. I am going to try and put my experience into words here to give you some sort of a perspective on my new favorite earbuds. So, lets get into its features of the new Sony WF-1000XM4. What’s in the Box - These earbuds arrive in all recycled material case, with 3 different size ear tips, charging cable, manuals, charging case and of course the earbuds. Quality – These earbuds are very well made. The magnets inside the case hold the ear buds in place even if you shake them up, so you don’t run the risk of losing them or have them fall out somewhere. Ear tip- In the box you will receive 3 different size ear tips, Small, Medium and Large. These ear tips are made of a memory foam material, which are really comfortable for all day wear and provide an excellent seal in the ear canal for better sound quality and amazing noise cancelling experience. Sound Quality – The sound quality of these earbuds is great, the music was crisp, clear, deep bass, just right on point. The app allows you to adjust the EQ setting if you need, and also with pre-set EQ setting, honestly, I did not feel the need to adjust or set my custom settings because everything sounded great, but I do like using the bass boosted pre-set just because I like the extra bass and even with that option turned on the bass is not overwhelming. App – Like most product out now a days, these earbuds can be used without the Sony’s Headphone app but to take full advantage of these bud I would recommend that you download the application. The application allows you to the control the Noise cancellation options, switching between different modes such was walking, running or if you are on a public transport so that it can adjust the level of ambient sound based on selection. The app also allows you to integrate your choice of voice assistant, either Google assistant or Amazon Alexa or even just to turn them off. The app also provides important updates for the earbuds for improved user experience. You can also adjust the EQ settings from the application or if you like create your own custom EQ settings. The application can also help in performing a fit test for the provided ear tip to ensure that there is no sound bleed, overall this is a feature rich application that will truly enhance your music experience. 360 Reality Audio – So, these ear buds have this mode where instead of receiving 2 directional audio from the left and right, the 360 reality audio surrounds you for a more immersive experience and let me tell you it is truly amazing. You can feel the music coming from all around you. 360 audio has become one of my personal favorite features of these earbuds. Noise Cancellation & Ambient Sound – So, of all the earbuds and headphones I have tested so far, and I have tested quite a few, I have found these to be the best so far. The noise cancellation on these buds along with wind noise reduction and the memory foam ear tip ensure that the only thing you hear is what’s playing in your ear buds. Battery Life – The ear buds have up to 8 hours of battery life with the noise cancellation on and the case provides another 16 hours of charge. Overall, Sony has lived up to its reputation of providing an excellent product. The WF-1000XM4 look great, sound great and even feel great. The app made the setup process simple and ensures that all you get is the best sound quality experience. I would recommend anyone in the market to try these out for themselves and see what XM4 has to offer.

The advanced technology these Sony buds have are next level acoustics engineering. The noise canceling is true noise canceling due to how the buds suctions into your ears. You can set intricate settings by location, and then it will remember those settings for the next time you return. As for the sound quality, it’s beyond description. I was listening to music and it was almost 3-D like surreal, and then was watching a movie on my phone where the surround sound was so life like, I began turning around in my quiet house thinking car were really passing by me. These are so good, I would of gladly paid more than what Best Buy / Sony was selling them for. These are years ahead advanced buds and I wholeheartedly recommend these. You should not be disappointed.
