Expensive but worth it

These are the finest earbuds I've ever owned. The foam tips are important for fit and noise cancelling. Found that I need a large one for my right ear, a medium one for my left. They stay in very well and never feel like they're going to come out. No on/off needed - take them out of the case and they immediately connect to the phone. Quick and easy. Sound is superb. If you enjoy music you can't go wrong with these. Noise cancelling works very well. Looking forward to my next flight to test them out in that environment and to compare them to my old noise cancelling Sony WI-1000X earbuds.

And the ambient sound setting makes it so you can confortable listen tk the outside world without needing to take your earbuds off. These buds are incredibly customizable in their app, and sheds a new light on what capabilities new generation earbuds hold in store

One of the few great words in which I am to describe these earbuds, great alternative for anyone using iPhone or Samsung. You’re paying for quality and this is it, I am writing after a year of having the ear buds and I had to replace them once but there hasn’t been any issues since. Even if you consider the XM5, the XM4’s are still very much a viable choice of earbuds.

The quality of the bass sounds are clear and deep, blending in perfectly with everything else. If you didn't know any better, you would swear you were wearing studio quality over the ear headphones. The fit of the medium sized pads are perfect for me. Battery life is outstanding. A 10 out of 10!

They also have audio pass through so you can listen to things outside of your headphones without it feeling muffled. I’ve never been a huge fane of the silicone tips as I don’t like things to go in my ear. Hasn’t changed with these so I have some gen 3 AirPods as well. Still really nice earphones though.

Came with plenty of sizes to fit any ear. I found that when working out they stayed in. Connectivity if wearing one ear bud at a time can sometimes have trouble connecting.

Battery life is excellent - almost too good to be true but they really last a long time. Also love how you can get a quick recharge by putting them back in the case. Very helpful. Sound quality is great all around. App is good. Fit and comfort are very good. Amazingly you can sleep on your side with head on pillow and they are comfortable. Definitely met my expectations. Would highly recommend.

Different sizes of earbud tips are supplied so that you can achieve the maximum effects of the earbuds. Ear canals vary in size from person to person, and can also vary in size from the left to the right sides. To keep the headphones from falling out, please select the right size earbud tips. We also recommend wearing the earbuds properly.
Gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal.

Don’t get me wrong these are absolutely incredible earbuds but for me personally they were a bit big which made them feel heavy in my ears. This lead to me constantly readjusting them I tried different tips and even rolling them between my fingers and pulling my ear slightly to insert them better. But the right side no matter what would slip back out with any activity. Noise cancelling is phenomenal literally let’s you mute life around you with a touch. Ambient sound is excellent and almost feels natural. My only criticism is the size for me. If my ears ever get bigger I’ll be purchasing these again.

While we're glad that you like the sound quality and noise canceling feature, we regret that the design did not meet your expectations and you have to constantly adjust the headphones. If you've tried different ear tips already and the headphones keep falling out, please ensure that you're wearing the headphones properly.
1. Put the headset units into both ears.
2. Adjust the fit of the headset to your ears.
Note: Twist the headset unit to fit it snugly into the ear canal, and adjust the positioning of the headset unit until it fits comfortably.
3. Wait for about 10 seconds for the earbud tip shape to stabilize.
Ear canals vary in size from person to person, and can also vary in size from the left to the right sides. Use the Determines Optimal Earbud Tips function in the Headphones Connect app to check the size of the earbud tips that best fit your ears.
Note: The Determines Optimal Earbud Tips function measures how snug the earbud tips fit in your ears to achieve the optimal noise cancelation effect and sound quality. Select a proper size that feels comfortable when worn before using the earbuds.

Great headphone but need help......

The noise canceling function works primarily on noise in the low frequency band such as vehicles and air conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Although noise is reduced, it is not completely canceled. Noise may occur depending on street conditions.

The left bud fit OK but the right bud actually caused pain after 10 minutes of wearing. The app is incredibly full-featured, but a bit busy and complex.

We're sorry to hear that you had returned your SONY unit.It is advisable to change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The size of the left and right earbud tips may be different. Check if the headset is properly worn on your ears. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.
