Colorful, lightweight, stylish, and great sounding earbuds that will really impress at this price point. That is what I feel about these earbuds in one sentence. I love the color options; I have the blue ones and I enjoy having a different color than my other pairs of earbuds that I own. These are very inexpensive for what they are, and they certainly don’t feel like they are around $60 at all. They do have some impressive features that you can access using the Sony Sound Connect app such as setting up 360 spatial audio, custom EQ settings, finding lost earbuds, and much more. You don’t need to set up custom EQ settings to get good sound, these sound good right out of the box and they work well and I enjoy the mid to high frequency they produce. Connecting them to multiple devices at the same time also works well and you can seamlessly transition between two devices with the multipoint connection that these offer. Another welcome feature is the ambient sound that and it works pretty good and I have no complaints about this. The physical buttons on each earbud can be set to single, double, triple tap, and also long presses and continuous presses. You can set each up with different customizations to your liking in the app. The fitment of the earbuds is great, and you are provided with S, M, and L size silicon clear tips to select from. These do not have active Noise cancellation, and this helps provide the long life of 11 hours and I found that the outside sound is blocked pretty good without having an active NC feature. The pill shaped case also provides an additional 11 hours of battery life, and a quick 5-minute charge will give you an hour of life to keep the music going. And to add on about the case, its well-built and the hinge feels good. You are not given a USP Type C charging cable, but I have plenty of those lying around so I wasn’t worried, also Qi/wireless charging is not an option on the case. The earbuds also do not have wear detect sensors, but again, at this price point, I really don’t expect features such as that. Overall, these are great earbuds for the money and even offer some features the more expensive models offer.

If there’s one thing Sony is great at, it’s creating high quality products that simply work. That’s the case with these Let’s say you just need a decent pair of earbuds. Nothing fancy, nothing with audiophile sound, nothing with active noise cancelling. This could be because you don’t want to $100, or maybe you just don’t want to mess with the settings or care about the perfect sound in your environment. If this is you, then the Sony WF-C510 earbuds are what you’re looking for. The case is nice and small, about double the thickness of a lipstick tube. This means it slips into your pocket quite easily, however, it also means it doesn’t hold a lot of reserve charge. It also doesn’t support wireless charging. Again, simple design at a very reasonable cost. About that charge. I found the WF-C510s to easily go for 10 hours without a recharge, which is just fantastic. It also means you won’t be needing to go to the charging case all that often. This is without pass-through, which will reduce the battery life some. For the uninitiated, pass-through is where the mics that are used for calls are redirected to allow sound to come through directly to your ears. Normally found only on earbuds with active noise cancelling (ANC) technology, this feature lets you use your earbuds while remaining connected to the world around you. Even if ANC is not important to you, you’ll still be amazed at how much sound these earbuds block. This is due to their extremely solid fit in the ear canal. While low sounds (like jet engines or lawn mowers) still come through, in an office or home environment this passive noise cancellation is actually quite effective. The fit of the ear tips is typical Sony, meaning the silicone tips come in multiple sizes to fit any ear canal, they are comfortable for hours of listening, and they feel secure even when you’re physically active. While the WF-C510s are able to withstand sweat or a light drizzle, they are not waterproof and should not be worn in wet environments. The sound of these earbuds is decent. Not great, but decent. At the default setting, mid frequencies are too high, giving a bit of a muddled sound. Increasing the volume makes this worse, as the human brain tends to favor higher and lower frequencies at lower volumes, a tendency that reverses with volume. So, if the default sound isn’t for you, then you’ll want to use the app to adjust. The app includes a five-band graphic equalizer, which helps. Note that fans of EDM or other bass-heavy music will never be able to drive the lows they are looking for out of these buds. For the rest of us, though, a little tweaking goes a long way. The separation is decent, although the soundstage is a bit compressed. Sounds can get a bit muddled, with individual instruments frequently not standing out but sounding like a mix. But they are still far clearer than anything I’ve heard close to this price point. The WF-C510s support Sony’s 360 Reality Audio, a competitor to formats such as Dolby Atmos. It promises to bring 3D soundstage to your headphones. Available from select streaming services such as Tidal and Spotify, on Sony’s expensive headphone models, it is impressive. On these buds, though, it didn’t really make much difference. Even streaming directly from Sony’s site, in a blind test I could not tell if the source was 360 Reality Audio or plain stereo. Wrapping up, what you have here is a very clean sounding pair of earbuds, buds that sound better than many competitors costing more than twice as much. You have exceptional battery life, a very comfortable fit, and the always outstanding Sony build quality. If you’re looking for basic buds at an extremely reasonable price, the WF-C510 is the first stop you should make.

      Hi Sc71,

We regret to hear that you are not satisfied with the wireless earbuds. Sony's commitment to customer satisfaction is our top priority. For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is up-to-date (via the Sony Sound Connect app).

It is also recommended to wear both earbuds properly. If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not worn properly in your ears, you may not obtain the correct sound qualities, volume, or call performance. If any of this is the case, try the following:

-When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The most suitable size of the earbud tips for left and right ears may be different.
-Check if the headset is properly worn on your ears. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.

There are MANY options today for true wireless headsets - options in all shapes, sizes, feature levels and price. So what makes these Sony WFC510s stand out? A few things, it turns out. First, the basics - they have solid sound, particularly for something so small and in this price class. Sound is great out of the box and you can use the Sony app (if you're connecting them to your phone) to tune the 360 degree sound, change the equalizer settings, etc. which will help tune it to your ear even better. The microphones also pick up solid OUTBOUND sound which is important if you intend to use these for calls. They're also SUPER compact and light weight - both the earbuds themselves AND the charging case. That makes this true wireless headset something that is truly pocketable (for some reason, some headset makers produce very large cases that make the headsets less portable). It also means (in combination with their shape) that they are very comfortable to wear, even for long periods. They come with th three different sets of tips for different ear sizes, but the pre-installed medium sized tips fit my ears just fine. Battery life seems to be quite good and I'm able to get through a whole day of phone calls and meetings quite well. As an added bonus (though it's far from a "basic"), the headset comes in a few different colors which is quite a welcome bit of personalization in a world where the majority of headsets are black with a few white - here you can get blue if you like (as I did), yellow, etc. So then what are the downsides? Not many as it turns out. The only one that I've found in my trials so far is that they don't have true active noise cancelling insead offering noise isolation. It's not as good as true active noise cancelling, but that's not unexpected in this price class and not something I was expecting from the marketing. So if you're in the market for a new set of earbuds and you're looking for a solid value set from a quality company that punches above it's weight and lets you express yourself a bit too, then the Sony WCF510s could be just what you're looking for. Give them a try today!

So I have a lot of earbuds, and these are something special. I'll try to be as fair and down to earth as possible, because these earbuds are totally worth it. Let's talk about the price first, because you will not find too many earbuds in this range that sound this good, and have the support these will have. I normally would not start here, but these are just that good and are easily punching way above some others at the same price. Now the build quality. These feel just an good as the much more expensive earbuds that I have, and will more than likely hold up for some time to come. The case that they come is built a little different from other cases, and the shape helps with them being so sturdy inside. Strong magnets hold them in place, and they stay put the times I've dropped them. The earbuds themself, are very solid too. Sound quality. Well, the only thing that I could find that might not be as strong as some others, is bass...but even that can be adjusted in the setting of the application. It really good, and again for the price....you really can't go wrong. Battery life should be good. All in all, these are totally worth it, and will get you into the Sony eco system at a very good price.

Thank you for this fantastic review of your new WF-C510 Truly Wireless Earbuds. We're glad you like the reasonable price and all the improvements we made on these earbuds, especially the amazing build design of the unit. Your assessment is spot on! The WF-C510 are Sony's smallest ever closed type earbuds so those with even smaller ears can achieve a more stable fit. If you feel like you are missing some bass or your music missing a bit of oomph, the Sony Sound Connect app (formerly Sony Headphones Connect app) packs numerous audio presets curated by sound experts. Not everyone finds them perfect, nor are they meant to be. You can find one that suits you the most and tweak it to your preferences. Here's the link for more details:

I got these for more general purpose use when I'm doing things outside like yard work and traveling. They are a price point I'm familiar with the sound quality of, and a brand that is quite reliable (about 40 years since my first sony purchase). It's the good very good sound, can get better, but I'm going to be so busy, it won't matter a lot. Also, ifi get them grungy, ok, if i lost them, frustrated but not bankrupt. What I really like about these is the actual nice push button on them. It has a good feel and responsive. I was leveling and spreading dirt today and my hands were filthy, but I was able to easily push the buttons and not habe to work about touch response. It’s just a good old button. I did get a nice powder blue on purpose because if i’m outside and for some reason it falls, it should be easier to see. That does not happen often with ear buds for me, and these sit nicely in my ear, but it’s a just in case thin. The buttons are programmable, and Intuitive to use. Call sound is good. Now where these are really cool for this price point us the 5 band equilizer that is easily customized. They also have I think about a dozen presets, but they have a feature where you pick from like 8 settings, then that splits into 4 and it makes a custom sound setting for you. These also feature 360 sound, and I did meas with this a bit, but you need to have like one of 4 services, I set up one (at no cost) and it’s a pretty cool atmos like feature. The battery life is estimated at 11 hours, i had them in for 3 today, and i’s estimate 10 to 12 hours is accurate. This comes with a case, the buds, and a few earpieces. Charges by usbc. I can find no faults with these for what they are, and I feel they earn their value here. Full 5 stars and I do reccomend these.

I was looking for a good pair of earbuds to use with my Samsung Galaxy Fold 6. I wanted good sound for music, and a decent microphone to use them for hands-free calls while working. I also was looking for long battery life. I came across these Sony FC510 earbuds, they seemed like an excellent value, so decided to give them a try. Upon unboxing these earbuds, the first thing I noticed was how compact the case is. I like its narrow shape, making it comfortable to carry in a pocket. The case magnetically holds the earbuds in place which is a good feature, preventing them from falling out if I happen to open the case upside down. These earbuds are an average size, and are fairly lightweight. The included cups come in three different sizes and are easy to change out. The problem is, I can’t find a size that fits me well. Maybe I have oddly sized or shaped ears, but I just can’t get these earbuds to stay in place very well. I think they would have been better with some sort of extra rubber keeper around the outside to help hold them. Also, it’s not entirely evident from their shape how they should sit in the ear. I just had to experiment with the position to find a good fit, but I never felt like they were very secure. The sound of these Sony earbuds is very good. I am not audiophile, but I enjoy listing to music on them. They have plenty of bass and clear highs. Although they are not noise-canceling, they do a decent job of isolating outside sounds. The app they use works well and the touch controls are intuitive. The microphone is decent for making calls. The person listening to me said that I sounded clear, but was obviously not talking directly into the phone’s mic. Still, it was better than using the phone in speakerphone mode. As for battery life, they claim 11 hours, and I’d say they’ll meet that. I used them for nearly 10 hours one day at work and they still had 10% left. Charging is easy and fast. The case doesn’t support wireless charging so it must be connected to a USB cord to recharge it. That’s likely one way they made the case so compact. Overall, I like these earbuds. They work well and are a good value, but I do wish they fit better.

      Hi Rudeney,

We're truly delighted to hear that you are enjoying the incredible audio quality these earbuds deliver. It's wonderful to learn that you are utilizing the built-in equalizer on the Sony Sound Connect app. Your assessment is spot on! Small, light, and a great fit, WF-C510 are our most compact ever closed-type truly wireless earbuds. The WF-C510 comes with different sizes of hybrid silicone rubber earbud tips to suit different ear shapes. As a suggestion, to reduce discomfort while wearing the headset, change the earbud tips to another size to comfortably and snugly fit your left and right ears. The size of the left and right fitting supporters may be different.

      Hi SharleS,

We're sorry to hear that you are having some issues with your WF-C510 earbud headphones and it hasn't performed to your standards. This is not the experience we want you to have. Your feedback is extremely important to us and is very much appreciated. If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not worn properly in your ears, you may not obtain the correct sound qualities or call performance.

To ensure optimal performance, as well as to obtain the best fit and prevent the headset from falling out, change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The size of the left and right earbud tips may be different. Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible. Please make sure to follow the guide from this link:

By using the Sony Sound Connect app, you can make few adjustments to your headphones settings to suit your needs. This will give you more control over your headphones and their performance. I really like the sound of these small ear buds, they give clear and precise audio. I just have a problem getting ear buds to fit comfortably. I am REALLY picky in that area, and have never found a set that I actually find that I want to wear them for any length of time. This is a problem I have, and not a bad design of the Sony WFC510 earbuds themselves. They are compact, easy to use and connect quickly to my phone, a 2024 Moto Stylus 5G. I have to wear ear pieces for one of my jobs and find them very uncomfortable. I just can't seem to find a good fit for my ear canals. These do get really close and I find them almost there for my strange ear shape! I'm going to keep working with these because they are almost there! Maybe I can get myself trained to like them! I like that they come with several sets of ear pieces, allowing the user to adjust for each ear and find the fit that is right for them. They fit pretty well in the ear itself and don't stick out to snag on things. I think they will stay in even with moderate activity, but there are other options for any heavy work or athletic use. Most users will find them very comfortable and the sound is really good. I have a very old set of Sony headphones that I use for comparing just about any audio devices against and these get very close to matching the quality of sound. I would definitely be able to recommend these to anyone looking for a good set of ear buds with a great little charging case.

      Hi Andy,

Thank you for the feedback and we are delighted to hear that you like the assortment of earbud tips in various sizes to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes and amazing sound quality of these earbuds. Sporting a smaller and more compact design verses previous generations, the WF-C510 are all about comfort. The WF-C510 are Sony’s smallest ever closed type so even those with smaller ears can achieve a more stable fit. The WF-C510 headphones combine a shape that perfectly matches the human ear with an ergonomic surface design for a more stable fit. If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not properly worn on your ears, you may not obtain proper sound qualities, noise canceling effects, or call performances. If you feel earbud tips are difficult to put into your ears, change the size of earbud tips and wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible. The Sony WFC-510 are budget-friendly headphones that offer excellent sound quality and an impressive battery life, providing up to 11 hours of music playback on a single charge, with the case adding another 11 hours. While they lack some features like Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), they do include an ambience mode, for situations you need to be aware of your surroundings. However, there is no wireless charging option. They are compatible with the Sony Sound Connect app, which I highly recommend for creating a custom EQ to match your personal listening preferences. Each earbud features a clickable button that allows you to play or pause music, or even set a preferred Spotify playlist to start playing with a single touch. Overall, these are excellent, no-frills headphones, especially for budget-conscious shoppers. You still get excellent audio quality for your gym workouts and casual listening. For frequent travelers, I recommend opting for a pair that supports Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). While the silicone tips effectively filter noise, ANC would be more suitable for blocking airplane noise.

I used these Sony WFC510 Truly Wireless Earbuds for a week and a half so far. Pretty easy and intuitive to setup and use (a quick learn online for the button taps on each ear was very easy). Connected and used them on my desktop computer, iPhone, and iPad. Listening to music and videos was very clear and rich to my ears. Very comfortable to wear and blocked out external sounds pretty well. For me unfortunately, I thought they were not so good when talking on the phone or in Teams and FaceTime calls. The mic just didn’t pickup all that well compared to AirPods and Galaxy buds from my usage. For that, I’ll have to drop by a star. Fair price and good for just audio. If listening will be your main usage, these ear buds are a nice option.

Hi Stuman1974, Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience using our WF-C510 Truly Wireless Earbuds. We're glad that you like most of the features, especially the easy button operation, great audio, and exceptional comfort. Having read your review regarding the phone call quality, these earbuds feature a high-quality built-in microphone. Make sure to update the firmware of the headphones by performing a software update. If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not properly worn on your ears, you may not obtain proper sound qualities or call performances. If you feel earbud tips are difficult to put into your ears, change the size of earbud tips and wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible. Thank you for choosing Sony! -Jess Sony_US

Better sound quality than my wired Sony ear buds. Great sound for the price considering other models and brands.
