The sound quality on these blows away Bose latest entry. Plus, they are super comfortable and last 30 hours on a single charge. Buy these as soon as they are back in stock!!!!

When I first turned these on and placed them over my ears, I was blown away by how much sound fell away from my ears. It was made better when I paired these headphones with my phone (easy by the way) and started listening to some tunes. They sound fantastic and with the battery life, I can listen for a few days with no problem.

These headphones have great sound quality and the best sound cancelling out there. I use them on trains and flights and they cut out almost all of the outside sound. They are comfortable and battery life is awesome. This is an awesome buy!

These headphones do not get enough praise, I believe. By far some of the best headphones I have used to date and cannot wait for what new headphones are coming. Battery life is excellent and the fact that it uses USB-C to charge is a huge plus (future proof yourself), touchpad for volume and controls on the right earphone is intuitive and takes a couple of tries to get adjusted, comfortable feel. My only feedback for these headphones are that they are a little bulkier then expected for those that are commuting and traveling but I use these at home for my work station so I do not travel with these. I am assuming that the size of the unit is compensated by the battery life which is so great on them.

Major improvement over the XM2's. Great call quality when used to take calls. Extremely comfortable. The quick charge is amazing. My only gripe is the headphones won't connect to two devices simultaneously.

I've been using these Sony noise-cancelling headphones for a week or so and I've to say that I'm impressed. I got them to take the place of an older set of Sony over-the-ear headphones that I loved but had recently met an untimely end (thanks to the dog.). I must say, the 1000XM3's are a huge improvement over my older ones. Sound quality isn'ticeably cleaner and clearer, battery life is much improved, comfort is substantially better (especially for glasses wearers), and the addition of active noise cancelling is a huge plus when travelling. Setup is typical to other Bluetooth accessories and painless. Although Sony recommends using their dedicated app, I skipped that section as I had no need for the "benefits" touted in the marketing materials. The folding design and included semi-hard carrying case make these headphones quite packable. The case also has space for the included micro-USB charging cable. They don't come with a charging block and there really isn't room in the case to store one, so just bear that in mind. The one note of caution, using the touch-pad like interface rather than physical buttons does take some time to become accustomed to. Once you've got it, it's fairly intuitive. One of my favorite features of that system is the ability to place your palm over the earpiece and the volume immediately drops so you can hear someone speaking or whatever is going on around you without having to pause the music or take the headphones off.

    Amazing Sound, Comfort, and Quality

Being someone that has always been an avid fan of over-ear headphones these are definitely at the top of my list and have become my everyday headphones. After using these you definitely will not want to go back to other headphones. To get right into it, the main feature that sets these apart is the noise cancellation. With overear headphones there is a big difference stepping up to each price point and originally I had thought I`d be able to settle in that $150-$200 range, but the noise cancellation that Sony was able to incorporate in these is astonishing and is definitely something that can`t be imagined until you actually use it as I can`t sing its praises enough. With the great noise cancellation comes great sound quality and the ability to cancel out outside noises only makes the crispness in the sound quality that much better. Without writing a book I will say that with the superior noise cancellation and full/crisp sound quality audio is amazing with these headphones. However, there are other headphones on the market that have great sound quality as well, but some of the other features of these headphones help set it apart even more aside from just the great noise cancellation. One major factor for me with headphones is aesthetics and these headphones are great in that they provide a very minimal design that is not overly bulky yet also provide superior comfort similar to those that do have the massive earcups that focus specifically on comfort. The build quality is also exceptional as you can tell quality materials have been used and the fact that it uses USB-C to charge is a great edition which helps future proof them. With this comes the fast charge ability in that in only 15 minutes of charging you get about 5 hours of battery life with a full charge only taking a couple hours. Then finally the touch features actually are very responsive as opposed to other models that attempt this feature so that is definitely a plus instead of having to memorize where all the buttons are for each function. Overall I just can`t say enough positive things about these headphones as they are great in nearly every dimension and pack so many features I`m sure I have missed one or two. I would definitely recommend these over nearly every other pair of headphones in the market as the noise cancellation simply can`t be beat, especially at this price point.

I'm very impressed with the touch control options. The right side of the headphones controls almost all your needs. Place your palm over the right side and it mutes and pause your music so you can hear outside noise. It was a little weird to get used to but eventually I got the hang of it pretty quick. You'll have to download an app to take advantage of all the options (equalizer, pre adjust options). The headphones are light, and comfortable. I normally used these for my college studies or sometimes I even use them on silent with the noise cancellation, it works like a charm. These headphones are very light and include a carrying case, so no need to purchase any cases. The battery last up to 30 hrs and I believe on a quick charge lasts 1-3 hrs which is awesome. One thing I didn't like was the bass. I mean it's good but isn't A super bass headphones either it wasn't a big deal eventually I didn't really care because everything sounded clear, nothing was drown out. I recommend these headphones. They are very light, have great sound, noise cancellation works great, and long battery life.

Sony has really come a long way when it comes to mastering noise cancellation and has definitely given Bose a run for their money. The audio quality is a little too bass heavy for my taste, even after playing around with the app I couldn't quite get the right sound that would be to my liking. Sony has also dropped some weight by narrowing the headband which is definitely a plus, the ear cups have also improved but for some reason I still had issues getting my ears snugged all the way inside the ear cup like the bose qc35. Type c charging capabilities definitely help to get a quick charge. The noise cancelling on these headphones is just simply amazing but that to me wasn't enough as the sound just did not resonate with me. Nonetheless these are by far the best out of the 2 previous wh-1000x series.

    The BEST noise-cancelling headphones

I got these headphones based on some of the reviews I read hoping they would be an upgrade over the excellent Bose QC35's that I already own. I also have the Sony 1000X behind-the-neck headphones and love the sound they deliver with excellent highs/mids and a punchier base than the QC35's, however, the noise-cancelling feature is not as good. So I was hoping that the Sony 1000MX3's might have both: excellent sound/punchy base and better noise cancelling. The answer was a resounding YES! The 1000MX3 has both amazing sound and incredible noise-cancelling technology. I downloaded the Sony Headphones Connect app which has numerous features, one of which is an equalizer so you can adjust the sound to the sound profile you like best. I prefer the "Excited" mode, great full-range sound with solid bass tones. Once you close down the app it retains whatever sound mode you last chose so you don't have reset it every time you turn on the headphones. The noise-cancelling is incredible, better than Bose in my opinion. It has a "smart listening" feature which automatically balances the noise-cancelling levels to your activity level and it works amazingly. The battery life is also outstanding, Sony states it will last up to 30 hours and I can confirm that. If the battery runs low you can charge it for only 10 minutes and get 5 hours of playback, pretty impressive. So to sum up, the Sony WH-1000XM3's deliver premium sound, outstanding noise-cancelling abilities, excellent battery life and they are comfortable to wear over long periods of time. You can't find a better pair of headphones.

I went to the store to get the MX2; but ended up getting these by accident. Best mistake. Fast charge went from 70 minutes to 5 hours gained. They're lighter and more comfortable than the 2s, and the NC is a lot better. I was torn between getting the Bose QC35ii and the Sony 1000-MX2s, so the MX3s are perfect. Like the perfect blend.

Don't Buy if You Want To Be Heard

First, the good: they're comfortable, if a little hot, the sound is great, the ANC is great, and the battery life/quick charge is phenomenal. That said, DO NOT BUY THESE to use as a headset. I've been through three pairs, and the echo on the microphones render them useless. The people you are talking to won't understand you, and neither will Google Assistant. I promise you that you won't want to take these off every time you get a call - it gets annoying really quickly. I'm giving up and getting a refund. Here's hoping they get it right in a later production run.

I was in the market for noise cancelling headphones as using the Bose QC 15 for a long time. Was comparing the QC 35 v. 1000XM2 in late mid august. Read a couple of early reviews which pointed to a new and fabulous offering in XM3. Went to best buy to check it out on 2nd Sep. Realized there that it was not in the stores yet. Reached home and ordered online. Received on 7th Sep have been enjoying them since. Awesome battery life. Great music quality. The app makes nifty personal adaptation to make the experience superior. But the best part is the vastly improved noise cancelling. Sony has beaten the ball out of the park. Enjoyed it on 8 long haul Newark Phoenix and back flights and the battery still has some juice left. The long battery life is backed up with super fast charging. The only downside is that without the Bluetooth the headset switches off and you have to make that modification on the app to let it be on. That and the need to shut it manually when off ears are something that the Sony engineers need to work on in the next version and if possible provide it by software changes rather than new version

I am beyond impressed with these headphones. I have owned many other brands of over the ear wireless headphones, which are a must when your travel for work, and these are the best I have ever owned! There is an app that goes along with the headphones that allows for total personalization of your listening experience which was really fun playing around with. I really enjoyed listening to a podcast and setting the audio to make the commentators sound like they are speaking to me from behind. I was also able to make listen to a broadway soundtrack and it dealt like I was actually there setting it to stage mode and hanging the audio to come from the front. Also has incredible bass and crisp audio when listening to pop. On top of all that, I can't here anything beyond my headphones which is amazing! I performed a calibration in my workspace allowing the headphones to choose the appropriate pressure to drown out noise and boy does it ever. Even with nothing playing I can't here anything. I have had several coworkers nearly scare me to death when they tap me on the shoulder! When it comes time to listen to someone to speak to you, no need to take them off, all you need to do is place your right hand over your ear and it mutes your audio and amplified surrounding noise providing clean crisp audio of those talking around you. A feature I never realized I needed until now! I am also thrilled with he 30 hours of battery life. I have been using them everyday for the last week at least 4 hours a day and they are only at 50%. I strongly recommend these headphones, and believe you will be as thrilled as I am when you receive them! Audio: 5 Stars Features: 5 Stars Appearance: 3 Battery Life: 5 Stars Performance: 5 Stars

Awesome sound but a little heavy

    Posted
    AdmZ

These newest upgraded Sony headphones from the wh1000xm2 have awesome sound and super noice cancellation features great for loud areas like a gym or on a departing airplane where you want to cancel out unnecessary noise. The amount of clarity is amazing and while it doesn't have to level of deep bass like the sony XB-series, it has a variety of customizable sound features to enhance your listening experience depending on where you at. My only complaints are despite it being smaller than the wh1000xm2, it still feels a bit heavy on your head especially when your moving around after an hour or two. Battery life is decent, though using maximum sound volume may drain the juice and may require more charges. Also, the texturized material on the wh1000xm2's did not leave fingerprint smudges as these wh1000xm3's do. These leave a lot of fingerprints after using the touch-sensitive controls so you have to constantly wipe them down and be sure your fingers/hands are clean. Other than these two minor complaints, these are the best in their class.

The best noise canceling headphones yet

These are a big improvement over the last model. They are more comfortable with the band feeling wider than before. The noise canceling seems to block out more of the talking around me than before. I love the feature where you hold your hand against the right side to lower the volume and hear your surroundings. They charge very fast with a USB-C cord and the battery life is about what they claim. The only downside is no plug was provided just a short USB-C cable but I have usb plug chargers already. These really are worth the money and use them every day at work to drown out everyone talking while I focus on work.
