High quality noise cancelling with sleek design

I compared the top of line Bose over ear headphones to these new Sony Headphones. I liked the looks and the sleek features of finger swiping on the right earphone for volume and channel changing. I also like the fact that I can place my hand on the right ear phone to allow ambient sounds to come through. So no need to remove headphones to have a conversation with someone in the room while wearing the earphones. I uses these while working out on the treadmill and use them for conference calls. Battery seems to stay strong for around 4 days and quickly charges. Comes with a nice hard travel case and adapter to use on airplanes. Bluetooth pairs easily with my Android phone. Very nice fit and finish and feels really comfortable while wearing. I liked these Sony headphones better than the Bose.

I spent quite some time at the local BestBuy listening to various different headphones with noise canceling, before I went on a trip to Europe last year. I listened for sound quality and decent noise canceling, and I wanted a pair of headphones that could also be connected via a wire because Bluetooth always introduces a delay and that annoys me when I watch a video on my computer or phone. There were several really good Sony headsets available and this was the most expensive at the time, but it also sounded the best and was the most comfortable. I didn't plan on spending that kind of money but I'm glad I did. I use it almost every day and it's super comfortable, sounds great (thanks to the equalizer in the apps) and has great features. The touch-based controls are intuitive and smart. Touch the right side with your hand and hold it, and it will mute the sound and turn the noise cancellation off so you can hear with others are saying in the room. Tap it twice for pause and play, wipe up and down for volume and forward and back for next/previous. There are just two regular buttons: one button switches between no noise cancelling, full noise cancelling and something called "Ambient Sound Control". Ambient Sound Control varies the level of noise control by trying to guess or detect what you're doing: Sitting, walking running or sitting on a bus or train. The other button turns the headset on and off if you hold it, or lets a friendly Japanese-Engrish voice tell you how much battery power you have. Other languages are available via the app. The battery easily lasts long enough to listen to music via Bluetooth with noise cancellation enabled for all waking hours of a day. When the battery dies, it takes only a few minutes to charge it up to 80% or so (enough for hours more listening), A full charge takes much longer, a few hours. You can't use BlueTooth or noise cancellation while charging, but you can listen to a wired music source while charging because that doesn't use energy from the battery. It comes with a short charging cord but you can use any USB type C cable instead. There is no power adapter included but you can plug it into a USB outlet on any computer, phone charger or USB battery booster to charge it. You get a convenient travel box that the headphones fold up into, and there's an audio cable that plugs into a 3.5mm stereo headphone plug. It also includes an adapter for plugging into an airplane audio system. Sony provides the Sony Headphones App for Windows and Android (I presume there are apps for Apple too) that let you make changes to the settings; for example you can let the headphones automatically turn off if they don't receive any audio via Bluetooth for a while (you can turn that off if you just want to enjoy the silence of the noise cancelling for a while). Or you can change equalizer settings and sound positioning, adjust the various degrees of situation-based noise cancelling and many other things. The noise cancellation has a learning mode that adapts to the noise around you, the air pressure (important when you're on a plane) and even the shape of your ears (they claim). The latest version of the app even lets it automatically change settings based on location. All in all, I can't really think of anything bad to say about this device. Except maybe that it was expensive but you get what you pay for.

I almost never review products, but as I was checking my email I saw a link asking me to review the Sony WH-1000MX3 headphones, I just happened to have them ON listening to Sibelius Finlandia Op.26. They're amazing. I never considered myself an audiophile, my last set of headphones were Skull Candy for god's sake. Yes they easily blow those out of the water and every other pair in this price range, including the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II. Every review I read it's always between the Sony and the Bose. I actually purchased the Bose first, updated the firmware, downloaded the app and I couldn't get the harmonic range the Sony's offer. Ended up taking them back two days later. Simply put...Sony sound better. Isn't that what we want with headphones anyway? The Bose were very comfortable and sound nice, but they're just nice. The Sony can sound nice or you can feel the bass, or focus on voice, or close your eyes surrounded by screaming children, choose your favorite artist and virtually tune everything else out to find your happy place. Wore these almost 12 hours straight on a flight from LAX to Tokyo, I was able to turn ambient sounds on when they were serving drinks and food, turned off to watch the movie and take a nap. Same thing on the flight back, this was from Tokyo to Honolulu, 7 hours straight, never took them off. Plenty of battery life left to get to my hotel and charge them up. Did I mention how amazing the noise cancelling is? If you fly a lot, you know the airplane hum...it kind of sticks with you for awhile after you get off. You don't even realize it, but it does. The Sony's completely eliminate that! Highly recommend, worth every penny even if they aren't on sale. I'm sure for a true audiophile there are a lot of other brands I'd love as well. For the noise cancelling, comfort, quality and sound, these are the best. The app is super easy to use as well and you can actually dial in your exact preferences. Bose is way behind in this as well.

I find one of the best features of this headphone to be the battery life in comparison to my other over the ear headsets from other brands. Even with ANC on they seem to keep going before needing a charge. The ANC is nice however you will find it changing and compensating for environment noise variations. Keep that in mind that your noise cancellation will make adjustments to your environment. The headset is very light compared to my beats and skullcandy and sennheisers. Which brings a positive, that it doesn’t have a lot of ear or head fatigue….and a negative, it feels cheaply made plastic. But with the goods usually come the bads. Not a deal breaker though. The sound is like any other comparable headset in the price range so not too much to mention there, it’s good. The case is nice and uses the more modern USB type C. A lot of people like the swipe option, for me it’s meh. And that’s because sometimes I find myself slapping my right ear two or three times just for the ear cup to register that I want to pause or play or change tracks. Bit annoying that it might have register problems depending how light or rough you touch it. It’s a good set. Had to grab some Sony’s to add to my collection no doubt. No regrets. Just get it on sale for 199 or less.

First off what an amazing pair of headphones! So many features packed into these which make sure you will have the best sound that fits to your liking. I am a pilot and am also a avid traveler and these are my daily driver for relaxing and drowning out the noise of not just flying but the sounds of everyday life. I loved these headphones so much that I purchased another pair for my partner and she uses them as much as I do! Highly recommend! Sound There been lots of reviews online about these it's no secret that the noise cancellation feature is superb on these it's also no secret that the sound is also superb and I found it to be accurate and pleasing to the ear no matter what kind of music I am listening to! The response time of the speakers are like magic to my ears, they hit hard and fast when I need them to without delay but they also are extremely clear when watching movies or just watching the everyday video. The features that come along with the app make your listening experience personalized to your liking allowing you to change every aspect of the sound. Hand touch features The hand touch features on the ear outside of the ear pads allows a quick streamlines experience allowing you to control everything you need to with just a swipe across the touchpad. There have been mixed reviews on the touch controls activating with no input in extreme cold, I live in Alaska and throughout this winter of using them almost every day while being outside, I can personally say they have never let me down. Comfort These have to be some of the most comfortable for fitting headphones I have ever worn. I wear them to sleep often to drown out the everyday noise of the city allowing me to sleep soundly and in comfort. The fit forms around your ears making a nice seal which doesn’t feel to tight but offers amazing passive noise canceling. The carrying case The case that came with it is beautiful it's a hard shell case with a textured finish an open net on the back where you can sleep in a charger or anything else that'll fit and also has storage for your headphones inside along with two more what I call vertical pockets for your charger cord or other peripherals.

I was in the market for new headphones after my old ones broke. After much research, the Sony WH-1000XM3 kept popping in all must have headphone lists. With flying colors. Let me tell you, the hype is well deserved. Built Quality These headphones appear to be very solidly built. This is important for me because all of my previous headphones broke rather quickly. Value These headphones are expensive but they are worth their price. On top of the headphones themselves you get: A slick, well built case. An USB-C charging cable. Which is very short and isn't compatible with wired USB usage of the headphones. An audio cable for wired listening. A plug in adapter for in-flight use. The plug in adapter serves as an extension of the audio cable. Finally the Headphones Connect app unlocks a very comprehensive set of features for these headphones. It is only available for smartphones though. Comfort and Ease of Use These headphones are very comfortable but they get hot very quickly. Make sure you don't use them during very hot weather. Your head will sweat buckets. These headphones pair effortlessly with smartphones and compatible laptops. Both wired and through Bluetooth 4.2. Be warned that these headphones can't swap seamlessly between multiple devices through Bluetooth. The controls of these headphones are very intuitive. Unfortunately, they don't work during very cold weather. Sound Quality and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) These are the best sounding headphones I have ever had. The sound is amazing. These are also the first ANC headphones I have ever had. And I'm impressed by how it works on these headphones. They completely shut down ambient noise; yet they smartly calculate when some noise must be brought to your attention. The ANC technology of the headphones can also be turned on and off very easily. By covering the right ear-cup with your palm. This also temporarily mutes the headphone. Because of this nifty features I'm surprisingly aware of my surroundings when using these headphones. Battery These headphones promise 30 hours of wireless usage and around 3 hours of battery time. So far they have delivered on both fronts. I find myself using these headphones for SEVERAL days without needing to recharge them.

This was a tuff choice. I really like to listen to my music in the best quality possible. I tried 3 other wireless headphones and the Sony came out on top this time. I tried the Bose QuietComfort 35 II Wireless, Bowers & Wilkins' PX and the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0. These are all basically in the same price range. What I can say is that each have pros and cons the B&Ws actually sounded the best hands down but the ear muffs were so tight up against my head I can honestly say these were the most uncomfortable headphones I have ever put on. It actually hurt my head after 5 minutes but the sound was incredible. The Sennheiser headphone had really good sound too probably number 2 in my opinion but it just didn’t get very loud. I know it seems crazy but it just wasn’t loud enough for me. I am sure if you were on a plane they just wouldn’t be loud enough to enjoy your music or movie. And now is where the really tuff choice starts. The Bose were great. The noise cancellation is really great music quality is really great. Now on to the Sony. It too has great sound quality great noise cancellation and great comfort. I would say the Sony is a little more comfortable than the Bose. The Sony’s are a little lighter and I think that makes the difference. The Sony headphones also come with an app that sets up the noise cancellation based upon where you are. So it can be different depending upon your location, not to mention that you can actually set the amount of noise cancellation manually if you want so you don’t miss an announcement at the airport. There are other things on the app that allow you to listen to music in different types of equalizer modes such as Concert and heavy base etc. You get the idea. One of the most genius things about the headphones is that you can place your right hand over the outside of your right headphone and it pauses the music and allows you to hear someone talking to you so you don’t have to take the headphones off. This is a must for all headphones in my opinion. The battery life will last approximately 30 hrs which is great and will get you you through a few days of work or most trips you go on. You can’t go wrong with these. The Sony headphones are the best in class at the moment.

The noise-canceling on these headphones is undeniably impressive; it drowns out practically all noise. They are also supremely comfortable, with the super plush ear pads and an overall sturdy design. The touch controls work and are easy to work with. The one gripe I have with these headphones, is the sound. There is A LOT of bass, which will definitely satisfy those bass-heads. But overall, out of the box, they sound muddy. The bass overpowers the mids and highs. The app does come with an EQ, which I utilized, but using the EQ in the app kicks you out of using aptX or LDAC codecs (not AAC though, for the iPhone users). You can use external equalizers to work around this fortunately, but still a bit of a disappointment. Overall, good headphones with amazing commuting capabilities, but too much bass—for my liking anyway.

Perhaps after reading the many comparison reviews I set my expectations too high. Don't get me wrong they are very good headphones. The noise canceling is not as complete as I expected, though like I said my expectations were very high after reading the reviews, and they may indeed be the best product available. The features and functions are not clearly defined so I searched the Internet for more information. But I am still not sure of what certain functions are meant to do. Until I have time to sit around and figure them out I have this unsettling feeling of feeling pretty dumb and that I am not getting the full benefit of these headphones. For me, at least, the settings have to be reset each time I use the headphones, which I do not like. Battery life is outstanding. I have to recharge the battery perhaps once weekly with moderate daily use. The sound quality of these headphones are very good once you find your preferred settings. And they are comfortable to wear. I have not had them long enough to comment on the build quality. With the plastic joints and twisting required to put them in the case I am curious to see how long the will last. Noise canceling quality. For me, it depends on finding the correct settings for the song or type of music you are listening to. If the correct setting is found the noise canceling works well blocking most outside sounds. For me, each sound setting is better at blocking certain outside sounds depending on the song or music you are listening to. These headphones do a really good job at blocking airplane noises (Something I have to get used to since formerly being in aviation airplane sounds let me know what the airplane is doing. Sudden movements without the sounds make me a bit skiddish sometimes). NOTE: I have not owned a good pair of listening only headphones in probably 30 years. People who are more familiar with recent headphones most likely would have more of an insightful opinion. WOULD I BUY THESE HEADPHONES AGAIN: Yes

You just cannot go wrong with this one if you're looking for ANC (Active Noise Cancelation Headphone). It has pretty much all the feature you need. Great sound quality, although you will need to download the equalizer to make the best use of it. Very very comfy and light weight, fast charging with usb type C charger. Genuinely looks great too! I personally think the price could be a bit lower, then again there isn't a better ANC Headphone on the market then this one. Go for it.

I was looking to replace my aging noise-canceling headset. I bought the Sony WH-1000XM3 (phew! what a mouthful) as well as two other headsets from well-respected brands. Spoiler alert: I kept the Sony's. What made me choose these? Well, here are some reasons, which are not exclusive to Sony's but amounted to my final decision. First, they look great. They scream quality and sophistication (in my opinion). From the black matte finish to the copper accents, these cans look very luxurious. They are also very sturdy so far. They have some weight and the headband is very flexible. The hinges are smooth and there is no creaking (as opposed to some other Sony headsets in the past). They charge through USB-C with quick charge capabilities which are very convenient. They are supposed to keep a charge of about 30hrs which I have not tested as this has not become an issue. They come with a very nice protective case and fit snuggly. These headsets are very comfortable. The headband padding works well to minimize fatigue, although I did readjust them after a couple of hours. The cups have very soft pleather cushions that rest easily around my ears. They did get a bit hot after a while, but it was not a big deal. The pressure is enough to keep them in place while walking but not too tight to feel it on the temples. These headsets feature off/on buttons as well as the ANC/Ambient button which doubles as the voice assistance button. Other than that, it is all touch controls. One side deals with volume, play/pause, forward/rewind and call answering. The other side activates voice assistants such as Alexa (with app) and if you cover the entire cup, turns on the ambient/awareness feature. I did find that the controls are somewhat finicky and are not always responsive, which is a bummer. Also, I cannot understand why these are 4.2 Bluetooth instead of 5.0. I have not had many issues, except that the range is limited. These headsets also feature NFC connectivity. Or, you can use the supplied cable for wired listening which is great when I play the Switch during a flight. As far as sound, these are amazing. This is the best benefit as far as I am concerned and the main reason why I kept them. The bass is strong and punchy but not overpowering, the mids come through very clearly and the highs are distinct and loud without being piercing. They are exciting and enjoyable for any music, movie or game format. The noise cancellation is arguably the best of the sets I tested. There is little pressure when activated. This active noise cancellation takes the listening experience to a much higher level. You can always personalize the sound signature, ambient sound, and even do 360 sound through the Sony App but I found that I like the original settings. If Sony would focus on adding Bluetooth 5.0 (or higher), tighten up touch controls (or offer physical buttons), and (perhaps) offer a better price, these would be the undisputed champs in traveling headsets. Even with all its shortcomings, the Sony WH-1000XM3 was the option for me.

I went to BestBuy to purchase the Bose noise canceling headphone but after trying these on I knew hands down which headset to purchase. I was amazed when I tried these headphones at the store, but I was in love when I used them at home. These are the most comfortable headphone I have ever tried not to mention the noise canceling feature. My husband has trouble hearing the TV in the living room at times and you know how the sound goes up and down in movies. So i decided to purchase these while watching my bedroom TV and be bothered by the sound coming from the living room. The WH-1000XM3 does not disappoint instead they are amazing. I can not hear anything but my TV. There is a feature on these headphones to put your hand over the right side headphone and it will pause the sound where you can hear what someone is saying to you this is a nice addition. We own 2 Samsung UHD 4K TV's and there was no issue connecting the Sony headset to my Samsung the first time, since then when I turn my TV on and then the headset it automatically ask me if I want to connect. With my other over the ear headphone I would have to go into my settings and connect them manually at times, which was annoying at times. The sound is phenomenal! I can hear little details like birds chirping in the background that I never noticed with my other wireless headphones. Sony does know how to make sound happen. The battery life is very good. I have worn these for 6 hours the other day and there was no lag or interruption in the signal. I can walk away from the TV in the bedroom into the kitchen and other rooms around the house and never lost the signal. My home is 2700 sq ft. (not large but definitely a small house). When the weather warms up I will try walking out to the patio. With my other headphones I would lose connection 30 ft away from the bedroom. I can't say enough about these headphones, they are worth the money especially if you get them on sale like I did.

This is the single best piece of technology that I have purchased over the past few years. The noise cancelling in these are amazing and have different profiles to allow more or less sound through based on your activity or surroundings. The sound quality is amazing. The battery lasts for something like 30 hours, while keeping them very lightweight. And the fit and comfort is excellent. The touch controls work well and I prefer the subtle look of these headphones over most of the other flashier headphones on the market.

I love products which never give me a moment of buyer's remorse...That definitely describes the Sony WH-1000-M3...Now, the back-story...I bought the WH-1000XM2 a few years ago after my usual protracted, deliberating research...When I made my choice over the Bose QC 35, I did not have a gut solid satisfaction...Upon getting them home, I compared them with my old Klipsch on ear phones and immediately knew I would have to return the 1000XM2...I even had my wife do a side by side with them and she, who is no where near an audiophile, also immediately noted the deficits in the 1000XM2...Bass was sorely lacking and the highs, though not bad, were not on par with my Klipsch, but slightly superior to the QC 35 in my opinion, which is why I chose them...The QC 35 was hands down the most comfortable...The noise cancelling was slightly better...I liked the style design of the 1000XM2 way better than the QC 35...Fast forward to the WH-1000MX3...Hallelujah!..All the deficits have been corrected with a vengeance...Sony listened to user complaints...When I listened to and viewed the WH-1000MX3, before even comparing them with the QC 35, I had a grin on my face...Upon comparing them with the QC 35, I almost began laughing...Upon getting them home and comparing them with my Klipsch, I heard virtual harps...The sound was simply beautiful...The comfort was improved to [almost] on par with the QC 35, though the QC still reigns...I have worn the WH-1000MX3 for 1 & a half hours and never felt the need to remove them...The slightly flatter physical profile is beautiful...The Sony app gives infinite control of the parameters/sound of the unit...It is amazing...The one negative I can cite is that the noise cancelling/ambient sound setting occasionally spontaneously switches...I think I recall somewhere in the user's manual that it might do that depending upon ambient conditions and will see if I can find that...It is not a game changer nor a deal breaker, but prevents me from giving them a 9.9...I am so pleased with these phones...I give them a 9.6/10.

I have tried all the major ANC headphones on the market. This one is the best I have tried. Light-weight, great sound, and best ANC. The ear cups block out sound and don't smash your ears like the previous model. It is also much lighter than the previous model. The ANC is much better than Bose QC2. Sound is also better quality than Bose. Get this headphone if you love music, and travel. Also battery life lasts forever. I have already recommended it to my friends.

I'm not an audiophile by any means, so take that for what it's worth. I love these. I'm still getting used to the hand motions and sometimes hit them on accident, but that is the only con. Haven't used the google assistant setup because I like being able to turn on ambient sound with that button, which I frequently do. I usually use them in a pretty averagely noisy environment and even with ambient sound turned on, I don't hear much, which is perfect because I like to hear my background but I also like to hear it less. Noise cancelling is amazing, too, exactly what it says on the tin. Due to covid I haven't really tried them in noisy public places but I imagine they'd be useful. And they're comfortable to wear for hours. What's really awesome, though, is the battery. I like that I can set them aside for a few days and they'll be exactly the same battery percentage I left them with. While they're on, they'll definitely drain but not nearly as much as other bluetooth products. When they're idle, they turn off. Super handy. I tend to like bassy sound, so I was going to get the previous version, but these were on sale. But i find im more pleased with these ones -- the sound is very clear and I ended up liking that better. I don't have much to compare the sound to because I use sony earbuds as well so they're not "MUCH better" than other sony products. But they're not worse than, which is more important imo. And earbuds aren't noise-canceling. Also these are great recording headphones, and great for phonecalls. If you're like me and you usually find headphones for phonecalls to be too much, these are nice, not too loud and doesn't feel like you're hearing your phonecall in your head. All in all, very satisfied! Very worth it and I'm happy I bought them.

The noise cancelling is exemplary. No - it will not create an absolutely silent atmosphere when in a noisy situation, but it blocks out so much sound that you really need to try it to believe it. And this is great for commuting, especially on the tube, where I now barely have to hit half way on my volume crank. The accompanying app also allows you to tune the ambient noise option, so you can let in external noise when walking out and about, allowing you to stay alert with moving traffic and obstacles whilst still wearing the headphones. I didn't appreciate this feature before purchasing the product, but now find it invaluable as I am able to listen to my music and podcasts whilst walking without taking them off, whilst still being aware of my surroundings. The sound quality is also excellent. Working in the media, this is very important for me. And with the accompanying app, you can change the properties of the headphones to suit your own liking. Once getting it set up, I found the bass deep and the higher frequencies crisp, whilst still being well balanced. The headphones come included with a great designed case, with a divider providing extra integrity when jammed in a packed bag. It also includes a 3.5mm jack cable, in-flight jack and USB-C which allows for very rapid charging. The only thing I would improve here is the length of the USB-C cable, which is annoyingly short. The headphones very comfortable, whilst also gripping your head - tight enough to stay in place, but not enough to be uncomfortable over long periods of time. The touch controls on the right headphone also work well, but do take some getting used to. Overall, these are a very well designed pair of headphones for both sound quality and features, being the current King of noise cancelling - and overall very worthy of its price point.

I went back and forth between these and the Bose Qc 35 II in the same price range. The Sony headphones were on sale for $50 less. That should have been a factor, but it wasn't. Bose had held their own for such a long time, especially in the active noise canceling area. Spent days doing research and went to Best Buy twice to do a listening comparison test. In the end the Sonys were cleaner sounding, more definition, better bass without distortion. The Sony ANC was on par with Bose and at times, during my tests, exceed the Bose depending on the background noise. The battery life is great. The fit and comfort is very good. There was however some ear fatigue after a few hours of wear. And finally, the app is good but needs a little more work.

I've owned a variety fo headphones/Earphones over the years, ranging from V-Moda, to Beats, to Klipsch, to Sony, to Sennheiser...you get the gist :) I like headphones. That being said, I'm a self-proclaimed audiophile. I want to love listening to music, and headphones are the medium by which we all enjoy music. So, I take my headphone/earphones seriously. It was time to upgrade to a new pair of on/over-ears. I originally had the Beats Solo 3 (on-ear) that I used for my headphone needs, and after them being a few years old, I thought it best to try an over-ear headphones. In all the reviews I read about "best over-ear headphones", the Sony-WH's always came up with Bose- they seemed to go hand in hand as the best headphones. After knowing many people who had owned these (and them being on sale!), I decided to try them out. I listen to music so much that it's important that the headphones I own make me smile when I use them. The Sony-WH-1000xM3s do just that. I'll list out pros and cons as I see them: Pros: - Sound quality: Let's be honest. I don't care how many cool features a pair of headphones have if the sound quality is garbage. Good new is the Sony-WH's knock it out of the park when it comes to sound quality. Awesome bass, balanced midsized and highs. Just what I wanted. I actually tried to boost the bass, because I prefer higher bass, and for the first time ever maxing out the bass on a pair of headphones were too much. What a wonderful problem to have. :) - Awesome active noise cancelation: This is super important. If I'm going over-ear, I want to be immersed. Sony does just that through these headphones. - Effective customization options: Sony has their own app that you can use on your smartphone to adjust levels, and play with pre-set options, so that it feels like you are, say, at a concert. Or in a jazz lounge. It works well. - Comfortable: I listen to music constantly, so it's important that I can go a long period of time without feeling like my ears are hurting. I've gone 3+ hours without any issue. - Case: I wanted a pair of headphones I could easily keep in my tech bag. The case enables this to happen. - Call quality: I've used these in meetings and have had no issues using them as my mic. Seem to be up-to-snuff with the rest of the industry when it comes to quality. Cons: - Connection issues: I had some connection issues, specifically around switching which device I was connected to (another issue I'll get to in a second). At one point they wouldn't turn on, so I had to do a hard reset (plug in to charge and hold a couple of buttons to reset it) and then it worked. - Single bluetooth hookup: Every time I want to switch which device I am hooked up to, you have to go through the full bluetooth connect process. As a heavy Powerbeats Pro user (and previously Beats-X and Solo 3), I miss the A1 chip that Apple does well. Rumors have it that the next generation of the Sony-WH-1000x series will address this. I hope so. - Case storage- This isn't a big deal at all- it just has taken some time to get used to storing the headphones. - Touch pad- You use the touch pad on the right headphone to control your music. This is all gesture-based. I'm not a huge fan, as I think buttons are easier to use. Some people may love this. Some don't. I wouldn't say this is a reason to not buy the headphones, but it's something to be aware of. All in all, this is a fantastic paid of headphones. I rated it at a 4 mainly for the bluetooth issues. I'd rate it a 4.5 if I could. The bluetooth issues are annoying as someone who has a bunch of devices they listen to music off of. Is that that big of a deal? No. Does it affect me choosing these headphones to listen to music with? No. Would I be over the moon if I didn't have to mess around with moving them over with such an annoying product? Yep. If you want a quality pair of headphones, that have amazing sound quality, and that has mastered active noise cancelation, then these are the headphones for you. Well done, Sony!

I am writing this review as a lifetime Bose fanboy which was prob the toughest sell for me on this product. Let's talk about the Sony!! This is such a solid headphone that by far exceeds the expectations of it's price point. After using it for a week, coming from Bose Q25 I bought a few years ago I knew how outstanding that was at the time I had serious doubt's the NEW Bose 700 would be the bee's knees compared to this Sony 1000 boy was I wrong. Pro's: Sound, Sound, Loud Sound, Tight Bass, Deep Bass, Slight Vibrations from Bass on my ears, Amazing EQ in App (really changes platforms) Not Gimmicky!! , Comfort, Battery Life +++ (usb C charging). Just overall Sound quality is beyond what your ears deserve @ this price point.. Sony delivered us a sub $500 product for $300 HomeRUN!! Con's: Hurdling over that Sony name Vs Bose , Comparing Side by Side to Bose 700 (Bose are by far more comfortable, I forgot they were on my head very often) Sony Often pushes against top of head for lock on where Bose uses earcuffs Sound: 10/10 Bass: 9/10 (I still dream of the day of more...) Build: 9/10 (Bose is easily 11/10 in comparision) Battery: 10/10 (20ish hrs = LongTime) Style: 9/10 It's very handsome w/gold trim & Black. I prefer Bose simplistic look however this was impressive in itself. Noise Cancel: 10/10 Wow.. Drowns out everything, My Sink, The A/C, Dogs etc.. Soak in the tunes Overall, I can't say how much I would recommend clicking ORDER on this headset esp if its sub$300. Get over the Bose name & drown out in this sound, you'll never look back, nor hear whats behind you!
