They are a lifesaver on flights, the noise cancelling is some of the best on the market, as is the audio quality. The foldability is another benefit, and they are comfortable to wear over long periods of time. I would even say the foldability and wearing comfort make it better than the XM5 model.

I can have these synced to my laptop while I work but switch over to take a call on my cell with just a double tap on the ear. Comfortable enough and long battery to wear all day. Noise cancellation is great. I even took a nap with them on and it was complete silence lol (I live in NYC by a hospital) Better than Beats by far I think. Programmable features on the app as well is great to customize function. Speak to chat feature is cool too. The AUX port option is great for watching inflight movies during flights because we all know the ones they give out are terrible.

That being said the sound quality is still amazing, as well as the battery life. I use them for hours and I don’t have to worry about charging.

Highly recommend if you get easily over stimulated. I use these where-ever I go and it has a nice battery life. I also like how you can customize your sound. You can adjust the bass, treble, and all in between. I’m no audiophile but to my average person ears they’re amazing. It is pricey but a good investment. I see myself using these for years to come.

Awesome Headphones!

The headphones themselves and its inner system is solid, and its sound quality is great. Its also been a bit since i've got them and theres no signs of wear and tear or battery deterioration yet. The only nitpick to make is its accompanying app for your phone, and while it can give you more customization for the headphones, the app is buggy and currently isn't letting me update the headphones software. Regardless, the headphones and its bluetooth, noise canceling, and wired mode are all top notch.

I was a bit nervous at first after hearing a few comments on a difference in sound signature on the XM4's but have yet to notice any significant change. While the rock solid sound quality remains very similar to the XM3's there is a noticeable improvement in ANC on the XM4's. I have used almost every high end wireless ANC headphone on the market and every time go back to this pair. It's the perfect combination of comfort, quality, and performance at a reasonable price!

Was looking for headphones that had noise canceling, was stuck between the Bose and XM3. Choose the Bose and was happy. Fast forward, heard the XM4 would have features the previous one lacked and pre ordered and I can say I’m more happy with these than when I got the Bose when I got them. The Sound quality is so much better, and these are more comfortable to my head. The only complaint I have as of this moment is on a rare occasion when I want to hear a voice message on Apple messages the headphones don’t recognize is and won’t swap to that Audio source. I’m looking forward to using these on my upcoming flight in October!

I like the comfort which over did the Beats Studio. They're aesthetically pleasing like Beats. The noise cancelling over performed. Compared to the Cases for each of the headphones, the XM-4s have a cuter and more protective case. The only problems that I have had with the XM-4s is that they're hard to connect to any of my Apple devices, and they randomly disconnect and turn off out of nowhere which is neither rare or common. But compared to the expensive Air Pods Pro Max from Apple, these have way better sound quality and more minimalistic with swipe on the right side of the Headphones, you can access ambient sound, pause, play, and play your next song. Compared to the wh- 910n, it is hard to turn on Siri by just touching the pad of your right cup which the wh-910, It is more worth getting the WH- 910 which are 100 dollars less but sacrifice the aesthetic for the better quality, and better base.

Great noise cancellation

I connected it to my tv to watch movies with and I felt it was great compared to other Bluetooth headphones. I personally like bass so that’s what separated it from the other headphones I was looking at and I listened to In store. They have an auto noise canceling feature when you put them on. Also, I noticed when I talked, the headphones turned off noise cancellation so I was able to hear everything and have a conversation. After not talking for a few seconds. The noise cancellation turned back on. That was the coolest feature I ever saw.

After 16 hrs on a plane, my ears don’t ache because of the supreme padding. I bought Bose, which are supposed to be the best, don’t waste your money on the Bose. The Sony really is noise cancellation! Even screaming babies & loud crying kids on a plane were silenced. I will buy another Sony headset.

The Best Get Better

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Man, where do I start, I am a Tech Addict and have all the newest headphones out and I have been using the Bose 700’s for months as I have came to realize those were the best available while I waited for Sony to come out with the XM4’s. It was worth the wait. The sound is great, the Bluetooth connection to two devices was much needed as Bose had that as well. I will say that the Bose 700’s are in fact more comfortable and are for sure better for phone calls but sound, looks, battery and the app for the Sony XM4’s have them beat. I still use both but lean towards the Sony’s.
