The hype is real

Transparency actually sounds like it IMPROVES my hearing. These are worth every penny. Love the fit, and I have a big head. Sound is great for me, noise cancelling pushed to the test at a trampoline park on a Saturday.

Pricey but you get what you pay for

I listen to mostly heavy metal and I would say they are decent out of the box for heavier music. After adjusting and messing with EQ it’s much better. The noise cancelling is insane and battery life has been great.

The fit is also great, I usually workout with earbuds because headphones slide off but these stay secured to your head without crushing you.

It blocks off all sound and when needed, you can tap the headphones and hear so clearly. I actually amplifies the voices allowing you to hear people talking clearer than with out using them. If you are a frequent traveler then these will work wonders on the plaine/train

Great sound and feel

The noise cancellation is out of this world. The downside is these cause a lot of sweat on the ear cups due to the material and ears get hot. Hopefully they end up selling replacement ear cups that are breathe able and don’t effect the sound.

The voice technology is unsurpassed by any other headphone I’ve tried. I talk on my headphones at work, in the car, while working outside and to go to sleep. People report (clearly) being able to hear my voice without any idea of what’s going on around me. The noise cancelling muffles exterior noises so I can focus on who I’m talking or listening to. I returned these headphones to try out the Bose headphones that are the same price and exchanged those for the Sony’s again the next day. The sound tech in these headphones excites me. The 360 sound is something that not even all music applications are capable of, yet. Overall, I am a 150% Satisfied Customer

Worth the upgrade from the XM5!

So I ended returning them. The XM6 are exactly what I was waiting for. The case is smaller and no longer has a zipper. Probably best case out there. The noise canceling is better than the XM5.

Great over ear headphones, but not for me

They truly are great over ear headphones, doing a great job with audio quality and a lot of great bass. The active noise canceling is really strong, and it’s pretty good at automatically switching to transparency mode when it detects you are talking. The pass through audio from your surroundings is crystal clear when that happens. It’s not for me, though, because I was trying these out to see how much better they were than AirPods Pro (2nd gen). To me, the delta was not nearly good enough to warrant something so much larger and harder to travel with (though the case is very nice). AirPods work great for me, so I’m just going to stick to those.

Smart features disappointing.

I have never cared for over-emphasized bass of many popular headphones. These stay clear and distinctive, even in a crowded soundscape. The noise cancelation is excellent, even allowing me to lower the volume and listen at a quieter volume without outside noise at the gym drowning out the music. I ended up returning these for a couple of reasons. The smart features on these headphones are not as good as I am used to. My pixel buds have spoiled me for voice detection and auto-pausing, and sensing when I remove the earbuds. The Sonys would detect sound from outside as me speaking and pause randomly. Finally, I have an existing pair of noise canceling headphones which are not as good, but not better enough to justify a $500 purchase. If you have nothing else recent, this is a great place to start. I don't think you will be disappointed.
