Not what I was hoping.

My disappointment came when they did not work with my tv, which is why I bought them. But if you don’t need them for that they were definitely nice and the noise canceling was surprisingly excellent! I tried them on Black Friday in the store and could barely make out what my friend was saying standing next to me.

They block out most of the engine noise but not all — can still hear music but not as well as when listening in a quiet room. I’ve been a Sony customer for nearly 30 years and still think they make some of the best audio products!

The quality of the sound is good and keeping the background noise at bay is a plus. He's able to listen to his favorite music or movie without any other household noise disturbing him. He's a happy boy. Definitely recommend for hard-to-buy-for younger generation.

Bose wins on this one but i understand we are not talking about same price pount as Bose. Sound is good and battery life is great. Top of the headband could use more foam to protect skull after long hours of use.

Nice budget headphones

The 700's are very good and worth the $. Good noise cancellation and sound is decent. If on a budget and can not afford the top of the line these are a very good set of headphones, if you have the $ get the 1000's they sound better and are more comfy. But you are paying quite a bit more.
