These are also the first headphones I’ve ever had that offer noise cancelling or blue tooth technology. So I may not be the best to compare some of the features to other quality, modern headphones, but I can tell you what I think about these. First off, the sound quality is impressive. Over the last few days I found myself listening to dozens and dozens of songs I had not listened to, and I mean really listened to, in years. The sound is so crisp and clear. I love listening to a song I’ve heard perhaps over 100 times but hearing little details I have never noticed before. Or thinking a lyric was a particular word only to discover I had it wrong all these years! It reminds me back about 25 years ago when I got my first really high quality “studio” headphones. Just getting lost in this higher level of fidelity and fully experiencing the music. The bass response is not spectacular, but it’s solid. But that is the only slight criticism on this topic, overall a very solid A. One area I thought nothing of when I got these was making phone calls. The second day I had these I called my dad and as usual it was a very long conversation just shy of 2 hours. But what was unusual was I heard every single word crisp and clear. The quality of the BT connection was better than I was expecting. Not just for how clear and loud it was, but so far I haven’t had a single click or glitch in any of the audio. The microphone seems top notch as well. My father is getting up there in age and doesn’t have the best hearing but he said he heard and understood every word I said which is also uncommon for our typical 2 hour conversations. Overall the design is solid and comfortable. After a couple hours of use I noticed a little bit of sweat around the ears when I removed them but it’s pretty warm out right now so it seemed very minor considering the weather. The controls on the device are easy to use, responsive and after a few days have become intuitive. I don’t think the noise cancelling feature is the best out there, as I have tried others on at some box stores. However I think it’s pretty good. I was able to work in my wood shop with them on and I could hear every word of the podcast I was enjoying even while using my chop saw, table saw and a couple sanders. They also seem to have very solid battery life that is in line with their claimed 30-35 hours of use. I was a little torn on giving these 4 stars or 5. As in my head they are about 4.5 lol. Since the bass response or noise cancelling isn’t top notch, but then I remembered those headphones I had tried on before cost much more than these. So when you factor in value I had to go with 5. Very happy with an excellent product and I would totally recommend these to a friend.
