Adjusting the headband and the earpads properly can help reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones. These headphones actually support super-soft, pressure-relieving earpads in foamed urethane evenly distribute pressure and increase ear/pad contact for a stable fit. The ANC on these are not the best i have had but they do block out the train noise on my commute. So if you need a nice sturdy paid of good sounding headphones try these.

I needed to listen to podcasts while riding the lawnmower, and the mower noise, while somewhat muffled, is still interfering.

I bought them to connect to my computer at work so the whole office does not have to listen to my music. They connected easily and work great. For me the sound is great and my music sounds just like it does coming from any other speakers I play it through. I am not that picky about sound quality so take that for what it is.
