So So
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They are good headphones overall, but I bought them for listening to music and I was a little bit disappointed. Good for movies and video games. The sound quality for music wasn't that good, considering the price.

Great Wireless Headphones for Watching Movies
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a headphone for those times when I watched television or movies late at night without disturbing the rest of the family. The Sony L600 Surround Sound headphones were just what I needed. Prior to this I had always used bluetooth headphones to watch movies, but once I tried out the L600, I was blown away by the clarity, detail, richness, and spatial separation this set of Sony headphones offered. First off, these headphones are easy to set up. Plug the ac adapter into the base unit, connect an optical, hdmi, or 3.5mm aux cable, and power on the headphone. That's it. The wireless headphone charges itself while sitting on top of the charging stand/base unit. They are also super comfy. The over the ear, thick and soft ear pads guaranteed a comfortable fit. The headband adjusts easily to fit even the largest head sizes. Additionally, I wear glasses and these headphones did not cause any ear fatigue even after hours of using them. I thought the Sony L600 sounded very good. They definitely do not replace a dedicated home theater system, but it does a respectable job of creating an immersive cinematic surround sound feel to the audio. There is good spatial 3D separation to the audio. When watching movies, I noticed that voices do seem to emanate from a different plane than the music and background noises. The explosions from action movies had great depth, detail, and realism. As the action sequence moves across the screen, the audio in the headphone similarly creates the feeling of motion as the sound travels from one side to the other within the headphone. The headphone also offers different audio for various listening situations. You can select between cinema, game, sports, and voice. Conclusion: The Sony L600 has great, immersive, cinematic quality audio. I would definitely recommend these headphones for the home theater aficionado's short list of headphones to consider.

Not for hard of hearing People
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these to replace my other Sony wireless head phones. This pair cost $100 more than my other ones and the sound out of the new ones is about half as good as my old pair. This pair has an echo to them like the sound bouncing off the sides. Quality of sound not that good even after all the adjustments. These are diffidently not for people that have to wear hearing aids. The old model I had were great even wearing hearing aids. Set up is a little confusing.

Great dedicated TV/Music system headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To start with, these headphones are of premium quality. It is not your typical wireless Bluetooth headphones. And it is not for mobile device use. This is specifically made for TV and other audio systems. It comes with a charging stand that you need to connect to your audio source. This stand has multiple inputs like HDMI, Optical, Aux , etc. to connect to devices. This stand then transmits the audio signal to the headphones. I was able to test it from other rooms to see if there is any noise disturbance for long ranges, but there wasn't any. The headphones are also light weight and fully adjustable and comfortable. It is supposed to last 17 hours, although I didn't use it for that long before recharging it. Make sure you charge it fully before your first use. There is a sound field button on the headphone that you can use to change to different modes like sports, game, voice, cinema, etc. This headphone boasts 7.1 channel crystal clear theater style surround sound. It has amazing sound quality. Overall, these are great headphones dedicated for TV and other audio systems with best sound.

Nice sounding surround headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony WH-L600 are a good set of headphones. They don’t feel to heavy or tight on your head. The earpads are comfortable and the headphone size is large so they fit well. They completely cover the ear and make a good seal. Recharge times are good, 20 minutes gets you about 2 hours and a 6 hour charge the full 17 hours of use. Charging is easy, just place the headphones on the stations tower in either direction. The station has buttons or switches for power, sound field, matrix, input (HDMI, Tos-Link/Optical, analog), compression, gain, and HDMI control (CEC). All are easy to use, and a display on the front of the station unit shows what input connection, sound field, and type of input signals you are on. The base station is not that big and can be put out of the way. The headphones have a standard Bluetooth range of ~30ft. Connections. I tried using the headphones on a computer with an HDMI output and I could not get them to be recognized. Using Optical or analog they worked fine. On a Windows 10 PC I was also able to use them with the Dolby Atmos for headphones. From a TV I used a HDMI connection, and tired an Optical connection from a receiver and had no issues. The station is compatible with DTS and Dolby. It has settings for Cinema, Sports, game, voice, and off. Each will slightly change the atmosphere of what you are hearing. Each setting emphasizes a different range of sound as expected. The head phones have power, volume, and sound field buttons along with a charge indicator light. The unit will automatically turn off when the headphones are place on for charging. Overall, they sound good. The different sound fields and multiple inputs really give them an edge over a regular 2 channel headphone set. Still not as good as an actual physical surround sound system, but it does provide a bigger field of depth and more audio cues then regular headphones. An issue I had is the HDMI needs an ARC out from a TV. If you already use the output for a receiver you’ll have to make a choice or use an adapter as the unit does not have a HDMI passthrough. But, the sound is clear, and the lows are reproduced well. Whether on a PC, TV, or receiver, the sound was solid and made a large sound stage to enjoy more of the surround sound environment than with regular headphones.
