I used to have a pair of Sony MDR-950BT which work great (my wife uses them now) but in my quest to use all things USB-C, I decided to pick these up. The sale was also a good motivator. Overall, I really like these headphones. The sound quality is amazing, the app connectivity is good and provides a lot of features, including Google Assistant. The noise canceling is superb and one of the few ways I've experienced silence in a long time. Battery life is very good. I don't use them often but I only charge them once a week and it seems to last my needs. The pairing is easy thanks to the NFC chip on the side. The headband is very comfortable, even with glasses. The headphones come with a pouch too, which keeps them very safe in my backpack. Sony really knows how to make good products.

I switched from wired Sony studio mdr-v6 with 20 foot cord and amplifier, using without app just ok but with the app fantastic also in app has equalizer built in plus amplifier and noise cancelling also using the aluratek transmitter to your non Bluetooth tv works great I highly recommend, power on button says in female voice power on then if already connected to Bluetooth previously says in female voice connected to Bluetooth, touchpad on side of headphones from Siri if connected to Apple product or volume or tracks of a song, sound is wonderful I am not going back to wired, but sticking with Sony for headphones. I left off lucky for me at bestbuy I could try them on these are very comfortable but the ones below this are not you get what you pay for.

Sound quality is great. battery life is excellent. very comfortable while using for long periods of time! Also enjoy the USB-C charger cable.

These headphones sound really good ! Great bass and all that ! Also easy to connect with the Bluetooth no issues ! My one Con is if you put the volume to loud people will be able to hear whatever your playing just an FYI, but other than that they do the job !

Very nice sound. The equalizer is great to get the sounds that you want. They are very comfortable. Price was fair. I would recommend.

I got them as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend, and she loves them. She uses them everyday for work/personal use. The battery life is impressive, along with the sound quality and bass.

I generally listen to Trance/House/EDM so I appreciate that these headphones are bass cannons; At the same time I love opera/classical/orchestrated music as well, and the balance of a wide soundstage and careful neutral tonal control (using the app) surprised me how well thought out everything is with these headphones. The app gets regular updates and really brings out the wide array of features these headphones have. One thing I love about the noise canceling is that you can adjust how much you want. You can adjust it to take in some ambient sound, or just voices, so you can still talk to people with the headphones on. But if you turn that feature off, these things get a solid seal and you don’t hear much outside them. Are they as solid as the higher tier headphones from Sony? No, but it’s close. And at this price- you just can’t get any better. They are super comfortable as well! I’m very happy with these. I only have two very minor criticisms: 1. They use Bluetooth 4.2 instead of 5.0- but they DO give a wide array of features to offset this, and there is zero audio lag when watching video. I honestly can’t tell the difference because their proprietary tech allows for lossless audio transmission to the headphones. So you are not missing out nor getting lower quality audio. Quite the opposite actually. 2. If you are listening to music that does not require heavy bass, or you want a more neutral tone, you will need to dial down that in the EQ within the app. I’m at -4 with a concert hall virtual surround sound in the app, and these things still shatter my skull at times! Overall: Buy these! I did a ton of research and I couldn’t be happier.

I have had these head phones for over 6 months. they DO NOT pair with PS4, which I thought was annoying. they DO have quality sound. decent bass. and sit very comfortably. the noise canceling is quite effective. they DO noise bleed, very badly, so if you listen to your music loud, everyone around you will hear it. the batter life is exceptional, but when it dies, they warn you, then just turn off, I found this annoying... also they take quite a bit of time to charge. the build quality is, meh, for the price. very plasticy, but decent. Would probably get something else next time.

These headphones have a lot of bang for their buck. They sound good, hit hard, have a long battery and the touch controls work okay.

...to the more expensive m3s. Whenever you dont need the bass just dialed it down with sony's headphone app and you'll still have a great sounding headphone. These punch way above their price range.

Great device with compelling sound quality and crisp noise cancellation. In the two and a half years I've owned this device, the performance of this headset has not diminished in any capacity. The durability is decent (I've dropped my headphones many times over the years), and it's a great product for any sort of use (general, working out, talking on the phone, etc.)

Love these headphones. Very comfortable and sound awesome. Seamless connectivity with my apple products and have great battery life. Also, the noise canceling works great.

Was looking for a replacement pair of headphones, after my Beats gave out. What an upgrade! These blow the Beats over-ear-headphones out of the water. The battery charge in and of itself is worth the purchase. I've been using these headphones since their initial charge and they still have 50% power remaining. I've used them in the gym, while watching tennis matches and videos on youtube. The only thing I have to adjust to would be the pausing and rewinding. It can be a bit sensitive.

The Sony XB900N headphones have great bass! You can adjust the sound to your taste using the app. The noise cancelling feature is actually pretty good. Very comfortable, great value!

Been using my Sony MDR-XB950BT’s for over 4 years now and wanted to have something if they ever kick the bucket. Really wanted to get another pair, but stumbled upon these on a sale and with a $50 BB gift card and figured what the heck. Takes a little time getting used to the touch pad for controls, and playing with settings in the app. But when it’s done.....WOW!! Perfect replacement!! Bass is on point as with the 950’s, and are actually really comfortable too. I feel they are a perfect cross bridge between the 2 pairs. So if you are looking for a pair similar....these are it. Bought them to wireless connect to my Sony brand tv ,which at the time was state of the art with every imaginable feature and does have a blue tooth option in settings , however the tv would not sync to the headphones Every other Bluetooth connectable device I had would, and the sound quality was excellent . very comfortable and sound proof from surrounding noises, checked Sony TV model # on goggle and found others with same issue. not the headphones fault bur rather the tv ,would have kept them just for my other devices but they were intended as a gift. had to go with an RF type.

These are a steal at $120, not worth $250 but absolutely phenomenal for around $100. The 3D sound settings are 9/10. Bass compares to my beats studio 3’s. Noise cancelling could be better, but that’s why they made the XM4’s. My only complaint is the cheap plastic on the sides. A smooth plastic would’ve been nicer for sure. Noise cancelling is good, but not great. It’ll soak 80% of sounds. If you are in the city I probably would go with the earbuds or the XM4’s. I would highly recommend these if you can get them below $175. If you fly frequently or live in the city, I would recommend the WF-1000XM3’s or the WH-1000XM4‘s. They will do fine in regular conditions but on a busy street or with some turbulence you’ll have to crank up the volume.

I used to have a pair of Beats Solo 3 Wireless that worked well until they cracked and began to disconnect randomly. Sony, however, had knocked it out of the park for me, I cannot believe how good these headphones are! I would say that these are a value purchase compared to other headphones, they come at an incredible quality of sound and long-lasting connectivity and battery. I have had no Bluetooth connection issues, battery is long lasting, and the noise cancelling is a soothing bonus for loud environments. Do yourself a favor and get these headphones!

My son wear this thing on his head all day long while taking online classes and watching movies after classes. Comparing this one to other over the ears headphone he owned over the years, he said this one is the best with sound quality, comfortable on ears and long battery usage life. We tested this one versus the top of the line Sony and found this one price point is best value. Highly recommended.
