Other than that, I love my new headphones. They are comfortable to wear. They fold easily. They are lightweight. The sould quality is amazing. I would recommend these to others who are looking for the qualities I mentioned. Oh, and the price was on point.

Ive been meaning to try noise cancelling headphones because when I need to concentrate and my gal is in a meeting or on the phone, it can be very distracting. After buying into all the reviews and noise cancellation hype, I finally decided to take the plunge on the xb900n when it was on sale. Great sale price but still $140 is nothing to scoff at for an average joe. I ordered on my phone and got curbside pickup. I got home charged them, turned them on and got the settings configured. When I put then on I was highly disappointed at this so called amazing noise canceling technology. I could still hear everything clearly inside and outside my home, just at an ever so slightly suppressed volume. The cars driving down the street, the neighbors talking, their washing machine, even my heater at this very moment. I can't fathom the claims of drowning out a plane engine. Of course the headphones sound great when playing music but that wasnt my objective. And no turning up the volume isnt a solution. One can overpower the outside world with cheap wired earplugs. I just wanted silence first and foremost, as well as the option for quality audio play. So back to best buy I go for the 2nd half of my frustration. For as long as I can remember every store has had a 30 day return policy. Well to my surprise, best buy does not! Or no longer does. Being beyond their 15 day window, I wasnt allowed to make a return. What sucks for both parties is that I was going use that portion towards buying the sony mx4 headphones. Thus spending more than double what I already spent at their store. Its a lose lose for both me and best buy because Im stuck with a pair of headphones Im not satisfied with and they're minus one more customer, who rarely does returns, but doesnt want to worry about an asinine store policy. Ive already had them not honor a price match in the past. I dont mean to sound angry or petty, but thats just stepping over a dollar to pick up a penny. Anywho, I hope this helps someone out there. I'll be buying a new tv elsewhere - 2nd attempt to post this review

While we're you like the sound quality, we regret to know that you're not having the best experience with these headphones particularly with the noise cancellation. We value your input and appreciate the feedback. If you still have the unit, to ensure optimal performance with noise canceling, please refer to the steps and guidelines below:
• Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on.
• Adjust the earpad position to fit your ears.
• The noise canceling function is effective in low-frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.
You can also change the settings of the noise canceling function and the Ambient Sound Mode with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app.
If the issue still occurs, please make sure that your headphones are running on the latest firmware version. The software includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements. Extremely comfortable but after two hours gets hot. LDAC is great helps improve the sound. I hate bluetooth headphones normally but these changed my mind. Wasn't sure where to start other than trying the many different brands. Very helpful rep at Best Buy suggested Sony due to both good quality and price. Ended up trying a few different brands, and was very happy with the rep's recommendation. The headphones do an excellent job with noise cancelling. And the sound quality is also very good. Thought bass was a little too loud, but rep said it could be adjusted. Very happy with how these headphones worked when I put them on.
