I'm happy with the noise cancelling ability. An upgrade over the cheaper Sony noise cancelling options. You need to jump on this set any time it goes on sale under $150. Just can't pass it up at that point.

With bluetooth, a wire to connect to normal 3.5mm jacks.. It's ambient mode is really good as well, although I think I've had a better ambient experience with other headphones. The noise cancelling mode is decent at best, but doesn't compete with some other headphones as well.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.even though i love music, i can not tell a C from a G, but i know what i like and these are it. came from a nice set a senn's that deteriorated in storage. 5 years is too much i guess, even in the case. i read the reviews prior to buying and it was an agonizing choice in this price range. the 1000xm3's would be the obvious step up but i couldnt justify the price for the amount of time i wear them. but in the 150.00 range there are a lot of choices....almost too many. so thats why i call this lucky. it came down to 3 or 4 sets after a couple of days of reading non stop about stuff i didnt have room for in my head, so i moused over my screens blindly and the cursor ended up on sony. winner. the bass has been criticized in some reviews. xb people, its in the title. i happen to think they are fine, but what do i know...except what xb means. paired immediately via bt with a windows 10 pro machine. i was able to swap out my oculus rift-s headset in the vr app settings and replaced with these and they work just great. im really enjoying some of my old favorite songs in a vr theater while wearing these. the 4 stars i gave in the breakdown dont average the 5 star rating, but 5 is for the whole experience. they dont feel like a super premium headset. the earcups are comfortable and big enough but its not great material and they get sticky. but for this price range they are about as luxe as you will get i suppose. id buy again

They replaced a Beats headphone that broke a few months prior. He loves them. The sound cancel feature is great. And being able to defeat it easily to hear questions or comments from others is a great feature.

On the plane they are much better because you can't get the cable tied up in your legs if you cross them. The noise cancelling is excellent for the price.

My issue resides in the fact the part that lets you slide the earcups out to adjust for your head broke, so if you slide out too far it pops out completely hanging by a wire. You would image this part would be strong enough to be repeatedly open and fit onto ones head (from wearing around the neck) but it's all made of plastic so maybe to be expected. Lasted 1.5 years so not the worst time frame but definitely upgrading to metal (dont care about weight).

I can't say they worked great but they were good. I could still hear some things on the flight/train but it help. Keep in mind that these may not fit properly if you have a small head like me. Could be why the noise cancellation didn't work as well as it should have.

Just be prepared to seem as though you're Def cuz you pretty much are too the sounds outside of the headphones until you take them off or turn off the noise canceling feature!

They sound great and I'm glad that I bought them. The sound cancelling is good but not great. On an airplane you can certainly appreciate them, but I was hoping it would be better. What I dislike is the head phones don't have physical buttons for changing tracks or changing the volume. It's kind of herky jerky. I instead use my phone to control these options but it's inconvenient

These headphones are packed with so many features. I like the play through technology it works great for going for walks. I will add that you dont want to wear these in the heat they arent designed for sweating. Being able to quiet one side at the touch of your hand is nifty in many situations. The app is cool I was able to make a profile and customize the sound to my ear with it. Lastly, I rarely have to charge them with 30 plus hours of playback.

I got them on sale for less than half price ,which really makes them a good deal. Noise canceling is ok but could be better. Did not come with a hard case only a bag, so I ordered one on Amazon. Should include a hard case for the price . Overall happy with purchase.
