Wired connection does not support noise cancelling

They were too big for my head, so they kept sliding off. The noise cancelling isn't that good, which is the main reason why I purchased it; I found that my $50 knock-off earbuds from Amazon did a significantly better job at cancelling noise than these headphones. I also thought it was ridiculous that the wired connection doesn't offer noise cancellation in and of itself; everything is enabled through the app, which presumably requires a Bluetooth connection. I guess you really do have to drop $300 if you're looking for functional headphones.

Thank you for the feedback on your experience with your WH-XB900N Headphones. It's unfortunate that the unit had to be returned. We value your input and appreciate the feedback. For fit concern, you can adjust the earpad position to fit your ears. If the headphones does not fit good on your head, the design may not fit your head and/or ears.
You can also turn on the noise canceling function on wired mode. To use the noise canceling function/Ambient Sound Mode, you need to turn the headset on.
We hope that you will shop Sony again in the future.

The aesthetic is very clean and simple. The Sony headphone software is great at picking up my activity and adjusting the noise cancellation and my music sounds great. I listen to a lot of new music and noticed I've been eating albums I listen to with these headphones higher. I listened to a lot of headphones before purchasing and for the price this was by far the best deal compared to sound quality.
