Love love love these! Purchased for my 90 year old mom to improve her TV enjoyment Super easy to set up, she’s extremely pleased with the sound quality and how simple to charge them. She’s enjoying her TV time so much more thanks to these headphones.

These work great. Husband kept asking me what did they say what’s going on. Enough, got these and I can enjoy TV rather than answer questions.

Excellent sound. Easy to use headphones. Glad we purchased these for my husband. Working from home created a need for people to be quiet during virtual appointments. This created a need for my husband to be able to watch tv while I was working. As a recently retired person, we had to find a way to compromise, and the headset really helped us to transition smoothly.

I have had wireless headphones for TV in the past (including Sony of that time) and they quickly disappointed me. I was skeptical when I bought these but it is 8 years or so later. I have now used the WHRF400 headphones for 6 months and LOVE them. Not only can I listen to what I want without disturbing others BUT the sound is clear. Often when I watch shows that I want the clearest sound of the dialogue, I put these headphones on. There is a switch to make dialogue better AND IT WORKS! One of the things I DIDN’T like about the old headphones sets was the charging dock. Sometimes they charged and sometimes they wouldn’t. This docking method is EASY and you can easily see that they are charging. If there was one thing I would improve…….. add a tone before the juice runs out on the headphones so you aren’t surprised. I would highly recommend these headphones!

I have owned these in the past and enjoyed them until they died after about three years. Bought a new Samsung Q7 and a week later, another pair of these. Requested Geek squad set up of headphones. Due to high demand for Geek Squad services, a contractor was dispatched. It took him about a half hour o get them to work. Afterward, I tried to use them with Netflix and Amazon streaming but they didn’t work. Worked only with regular TV programming. Called the store and received incredible service. They dispatched their Geek Squad member, not another contractor. This gentleman spent one half hour and verified the connection for these headphones limited setup to listening to either the TV’s app’s (Netflix, etc.) or regular programming. Sadly I returned them and purchased a Bluetooth headphone from Best Buy

Easy to hook up to tv. Comfortable. Eliminates room noise. One can walk throughout our home wearing these headphones and never miss hearing their show or the game! One person can watch tv as loudly as they wish while another person can enjoy the tv at a lower volume! Significantly helped my spouse begin enjoying tv again (fits comfortable over hearing aids), while preserving my hearing! We have recommended this product to several friends.

These work very well but I didn't catch that they had to be plugged into a headphone jack! I bought them with the assumption they were also Bluetooth, nope. Now as far as the design, comfortability, and sound quality... outstanding!

High-quality earphones with a durable recharging stand. I bought these earphones for my mother who is slightly hearing impaired and for my father who is not. ;-) She loves them and so does he! I used to get calls from them both complaining about the TV volume at night..."She plays the TV too loud and I can't sleep," or "He fusses at me for wanting to watch TV after he goes to bed." With these earphones, the TV sound in the room is independent of the volume in the earphones. Therefore, my father can choose to watch TV with my mom at a normal volume or he can silence the TV and go to sleep all while she continues to watch on her own at her own volume. These earphones have eliminated their complaints of one another to me so I am grateful. Signed, Relieved.

Great headset for the price. Easy to setup. Good sound quality. Excellent for tv and video games. If someone is watching next to you the regular volume can be adjusted separately from the headset volume which is a lifesaver

This is my second set in 2 years. No, that doesn't mean the first pair broke. First set (purchased 4 years ago) is for the bedroom and this set is for the living room. It has great sound and easy set up. I'm the only night owl in my household and these allow me to watch my movies without having to sit directly next to the speaker.

Got these for my 84 yo Mother who wears hearing aids, but lately keeps getting inner ear infections. Since she can’t wear them she needed to be able to hear tv. These were easy to connect to our cable box receiver, but unable to connect to our 2019 Samsung Smart TV. Would give 5 stars if it came with an audio output cable. (It has the red & white cable but tv doesn’t have those) Works great for her unless I stream through an app. She really likes them! Her ear infections have now healed, but she prefers these over her hearing aids now!

I bought these wireless headphones for listening to the TV. It has a switch to make voices clearer. The headphones are adjustable, comfortable, block out some of the outside noise and allow me to hear the TV much better than with the Panasonic sound bar that I bought so I could hear better. I cannot imagine using these without the 'voice' button on. It adds treble. Without the button, the sound is flat. They get a 4-of-5 because I was hoping for even more definition of voices, but they are better than Sharper Image or any others I have used, and so much more comfortable than TV Ears or other in-the-ear headphones.

Yes, this is a good set of headphones for a deaf person's use. However, recharging them is frustrating as they just do not easily set securely onto the charging area of the transmitter unit. In short, it is very difficult to get the headphones charging connection securely placed, even when pressing down on the headphones, onto the charging area's corresponding area. Otherwise, this unit is excellent for quiet (per the surrounding environment) listening to a television.

I'm completely indifferent on this headset. On one hand, the headphones are some of the most comfortable I have ever worn, on the other hand, the quality and capability just isn't there for the $120 price tag. The good: The headset is beyond comfortable; there's no need to worry about fatigue if you want to hammer out a few hours of listening/watching. The battery life is also terrific at (a claimed) 20 hours, doubling the run-time of many competing headphones. Setup is very straightforward. The bad: The reception is the biggest issue. Sitting still just six feet away from the transmitter, I will get a brief split-second clipping noise of static interference every 20 seconds or so, which is incredibly distracting. I've tried all three channels with no discernable difference in performance. If you want to walk around the house while enjoying content, forget about it... you'll get continuous static. The sound quality is also quite lackluster, sounding very flat on both ends. Now, I was never expecting comparable performance to something like Sony MDR-7506s (which our family owns two pairs of), but I was expecting more for a Sony device costing $120. There are cheap $20 earbuds out there that have more dynamic sound than these headphones do. It almost seems like Sony exclusively focused on the mids to get vocal clarity for video content and ignored musical consumption. The "voice effect" toggle is also the worst equalization I have ever heard, making voices sound so altered it's not really a vocal enhancment at all. One improvement that needs to happen is the addition of a optical/Toslink input to the transmitter, with full Dolby Digital support (no PCM only rubbish, I want Dolby Digital support since some manufacturers won't let you select PCM output). With many TV manufacturers abandoning analog audio outputs altogether, having a device like this that can only accept analog input seems outdated thinking. Adding optical is a step forward to better integration, and being able to decode Dolby Digital signals over optical would also mean Sony could theoretically isolate vocals from the center channel for their "voice effect" feature. The last parting thing I want to say is the overall fit and finish quality of these headphones leaves a lot to be desired. Out of the box, the right side ear cup actually had a loose piece of something inside of it that would rattle if you moved your head around! Shaking the headphones managed to lodge whatever was lose into a place where it wouldn't rattle. Overall, I'm not impressed and cannot recommend these. I would take a look at equivalent options from Sennheiser if I were to buy again.
