Good tripod but not great!

I wish u can see when it needs new battery. I can see how it’s good for vlogging. I don’t vlog but will just use it and carry for travel for my Sony rx 100 vii. Wish the price is lower. Got a 10 dollar off with coupon, but price could still be lower. Otherwise it does the job.

The instructions from Sony were incomplete and did not suggest going to Menu to turn on Wifi even though it is linked by blue tooth. My unit arrived with a dead battery which did confuse my set up procedure until I used a tester.

Tricky set up at first but after its works just fine. Easy transition from use or no use. I like that if you soft press the photo button it helps with focus. Easy grip/handling. No complaints so far.

I think this should be a required purchase for compatible Sony cameras. It connects instantly and I love that I can customize its functions. I use it with a Sony RX0-II.

It wouldn't work at all with my FX3 and only some basic functions on my A7RV. This seems more made for the 7C sized/style cameras.

Fantastic Device - Must Have for Photos or Videos

But once I used it, I understand the difference. Makes it easy to hold the camera for video. Like the zoom in-out functionality ( uses the digital zoom on prime lenses). It's a bit costly , but well built and worth it.

Sony - Shooting Grip with Wireless Remote

But this grip is as advertised in regard to the features included and it is surprisingly sturdy. Definitely spend the extra this officially licensed product, the grip has been very useful for my wife's official company videos and social media uploads. I would highly recommend this product if it is within your budget.
