So I buy this little thing thinking the sound couldn’t be as much one of the more expensive Bluetooth speakers, Boy wasn’t I wrong. It packs a nice little bass punch for its size. The battery life is awesome as well! This product is definitely worth the money. So for anyone that’s a little on the fence about buying it, don’t be... It sounds awesome!

I took this thing straight out of the box, plugged in the charging cord, easily paired with my phone and pressed play. The sound quality was absolutely perfect for my needs on my rooftop deck with the ladies. I was actually very surprised and pleased. So much sound in a lil device. With my Bestbuy rewards, only paid $32 out of pocket! Nicely Done Bestbuy!

This little speaker is absolutely awesome! The sound is crisp and clear and doesn't break up with the increased volume. Connects with ease to my MP3 player. I use it in my car...yes, my car. I have a 1957 Plymouth and this makes traveling with tunes perfect! My bestie worked in road construction and she said this was the model to buy. If she had loud clear sound in her noisy profession I knew it would work with a loud V8 engine!! Considering getting another for the full stereo effect.

I have wanted a way to be able to get sound in any room without having to carry around wires and big speakers. This small and powerful speaker provides great sound and is easy to connect to your phone.

For a speaker that is only the size of a 10oz can, it really sounds amazing. It has good bass and the sound travels thru the house. Also great for by the pool. Don't have to worry about the kids splashing water on it. Plan on buying a second one because 2 can be linked together for stereo sound.

I am so impressed with the sound. It's very easy to connect. At home I keep it connected to my cell phone, that way I never miss a call especially if my phone is in another room.

I've tried a lot of BT speakers, each must be considered differently, based the purpose for each. BT speakers that plug into the wall are different than portable battery powered speakers. And now that several companies have "water proof" speakers, that you can take to the beach, and use without worry outside in the elements, I see a new distinction. Sony's new XB10 is about 1/2 the size of a can of soda (12oz 355ml), and for it's size it packs a punch, delivering reasonable bass for it's size. I believe sony will have 4 speakers in this series, this being the smallest. I thought comparing it the the JBL Flip 3, a speaker twice it's size but about it's price was a fair comparison. The Sony's bass was a little thinner, the hight's were similar, although the Sony high's we much more directional, but the JBL's midrange was much fuller. I also compared the Sony to a OontZ Angle 3 (Cambridge) where it was the clear winner, much better bass ans an over all better tone and it could be driven much louder before it distorted. The JBL could be driven much louder than the XB10, but I'd not recommend driving either at "10" cranked fully up as both started distorting when they max output. The Sony won't quite fit in your pocket pants, but it has an attached ring t help you carry it. Sony says 2 XB10's can independently paired to a device to give you true stereo output, but I only had one to test. This is a great feature, I have 2 JBL Flip 3's for just this purpose, and when they stay connected they works great (which is to say they don't always stay paired), I'm sure 2 XB10's would provide plenty of sound to fill a mid-sized room (bedroom, dorm, kitchen...). I liked the Sony for it's size, it's supposed to get 16 hours from a single charge (I've not gotten more than 8 hrs from my Flip 3), so 16 hours is pretty respectable. The Sony also supports NFC, which I could not test, and it comes in several colors. When paired with a phone the speaker can be used be used as a speaker phone, this worked very nicely, the person I was talking to said they could not tell I was on a external speaker, and that the sound was quite natural (no echo). This may be a feature that's quite handy if your listening to tunes and a call comes in, it mutes the sound and the 2-way voice kicks in. IMHO the XB-10 is a good speaker for the size and price, I'm sure it's bigger brothers provide better sound in a larger, more expensive package. I'd consider getting 2 XB-10's for real stereo output over a bigger mono speaker.

Love this little speaker. Packs some power for how small it is and holds its battery really well. I hardly ever have to charge it and if it's not used for a long time it will still hold its battery charge and be ready to go!

This little speaker is loud and has good base and treble. Pairing was easy for my wife who had it up and pumping out tunes. I would buy another for a gift for someone. Love my Sony toys.

The SONY XB10 Bluetooth Speaker is small, highly portable, and has some power. It was easy to use out of the box. I gave it a full charge, then turned it on near my desktop computer. It paired instantly, and I was listening to music while I worked. After that initial pairing, I just held the “on” button down for a few seconds, and it paired with my iPhone without effort. It has a comfortable plastic ring and a short cord that make it easy to carry around, and so I did – around our 2-story house, out the front door to the mailbox, all while getting the signal from my desktop computer. Of course, there is a limit to how far it can be from its source and still pick up the signal, but its range is extensive enough that I can keep the XB10 with me or park it in a convenient spot with no interruption. I haven’t really tested the extent of its battery life, because it lasts through a full day, and that’s enough for me. The sound is excellent for the speaker’s size, clear and rich. I compared it with another, well-respected brand’s small Bluetooth speaker, and there was no meaningful difference. I have only the one XB10, so I haven’t tried adding an extra one and getting a stereo sound, but I like that this would be a possibility. The markings for the various function buttons are small, pale, and not easy to see, and that does pose a problem for me. However, it does have small raised dots at the “play” and “increase volume” buttons, so as I get more accustomed to using them I probably won’t have to look to activate those. Overall, the SONY XB10 makes a nice addition to my listening options.

I like this speaker overall. The only thing I have to complain about is that the cover for the charging port doesn’t stay on well.
