Lightweight, good sound quality for phone and music. Just wish it would last a bit longer - about 90% of my day.

Let's get right to the sound quality of the Sony MDR-XB50BS. The big selling feature is the extra bass. The bass is deep, tight, and powerful. This is a great in-ear headphone for those who want to get to the lower end of the audio frequency spectrum. I get that the headphones are designed to pump the bass into your ears to give you that extra motivation and energy during your workout routine. However, I believe Sony has tuned the sound too much toward the mids and the lows, neglecting the highs. Treble response is clearly missing, and sometimes you need to hear the crisp highs to help you finish off the workout routine. Don't get me wrong, sound quality is still very good, but it certainly doesn't have the full dynamic range that this headphone should be capable of. It is a very comfortable headphone to wear. It comes with three different sizes of wings and earbuds so that you can find the one that fits your ears. The wing design is very secure and works really well at preventing the ear buds from falling out during movement. I was able to run, tilt my head in every direction, and even tug gently at the headphones, and it stayed in place in my ears. Even when the ear buds and wings were wet from sweat, they stayed securely on my ears with no problem. The headphones are very easy to pair via bluetooth and NFC. My headphones came with the battery factory pre-charged. Battery life is excellent. The specs state that it can last up to 8.5 hours on a charge. I've had them on for nearly 8 hours now, and they're still going strong. It will take 2.5 hours to re-charge a fully depleted battery. I own several different bluetooth headphones, and in my experience they all have a characteristic hissing noise that can be heard at low volumes and in between audio tracks. These headphones are no different. Volume control, track skipping, play/pause, call answering, and the power button are all managed from the right side of the headphone. The microphone is very good as callers on the other end said my voice came through very clearly. Also, the volume can get very loud on the headphones in case some of you are wondering whether or not you can drown out noise by turning up the volume. Keep in mind that these headphones are not designed to reduce ambient noise. Sport headphones such as these are designed to allow ambient noise to come through so you remain aware of your surroundings. The headphones do not come with a case or storage pouch so you're going to have to jam the headphones in your bag or pockets. I recommend purchasing some type of protective, padded pouch. In summary, I think these are good sounding headphones, although the highs/treble is missing. They are strategically value priced between the cheapo low end bluetooth headphones and the more premium sport offerings at the higher price range. They stay securely on your ears and get the job done if you need to hear the extra bass to energize you through your workouts.

The headphones are great for a workout. They were comfortable and the sound quality is really good. The bass is great for the people that want that extra bump in their music.

The Sony Extra Bass earbuds definitely hold true to their name. The sound quality is on par with more expensive earbuds. I did have issues with the microphone while making phone calls. Seemed as if the mic wasn’t working at all.

Was a little hesitant to spend almost 100 dollars on a pair of headphones, but ive gone through several pair of cheap wireless ones. These sound great, were easy to pair and stay put when working out and even when running in light rain.

I use these while running and training for marathons. They stay in place and the sound is excellent. Battery life has not been a problem.

These are a surprise hit for me, I hike a lot and workout and it’s hard to find a good set of earphones that’s worth the sound and not fall out. They are bass heavy if you are into that and come with different ear pillows. For the price I recommend for workouts and active lifestyle. Mic isn’t bad for phone calls.

Overall very satisfied. THE GOOD: Have proven to be very durable. Purchased a year ago and used regularly outdoors while gardening, exercising, etc. in all sorts of weather. Connectivity is great. Sound quality is very good. Controls super easy to operate. THE BAD: Phone mic is sub-optimal and I often avoid using it if at all possible. Ear fit can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, especially when very active physically. OVERALL: Price + Performance + Durability = WINNER

I really enjoy my bluetooth earbuds a lot. The sound quality is great and they're very comfortable.

They fit well and hold a charge well. Since I use them when busy, expert sound quality is not an issue for me, and the quality exceeds my expectations for a set of earphones that I can use working out and in light rain.

These things are surprisingly comfortable and snug. I was afraid they would fall out easily, but they stay perfectly in place. The sound quality is amazing as well, even after I walk into another room from the linked device. No regrets with this purchase.

These in-ear headphone have been working well for me. It took a while to get the fit right and for my ears to get used to them but it was worth it. They sound great with decent bass and good detail throughout. I still prefer this type that I can charge directly with a USB cable. True wireless might be the current rage but I don't want a separate charging box that I have to carry around as well. I use them only for listening to music and have not taken any calls on them so I cannot comment on their use and quality in that function. Battery can't make it a full day if I constantly listen but who in reality can actually listen to music every minute of the day. Most people should find the battery life more that enough through a normal day. Overall I am very satisfied.

The bass is phenomenal and enables you to power through any tough workout. I love how the earbuds stay in place while jogging and sprinting. Great for those who sweat profusely like me. Sony Extra Bass Sports Wireless earbuds are the only headset that has lasted for more than six months and soon to hit the two-year mark. Thanks to the makers at Sony.

I've had these headphones for a few weeks now and they sound great. While weightlifting and running they stay firmly put in your ear and the buttons are easy to use, they do not get uncomfortable. I use it with my Iphone 6 and Ipod 5th generation and I never lose connection.

The headphones work well with my Sony Xperia X Smartphone. Clear sound with really solid bass.

The sound is great with these headphones. Music is clear and the bass is good with no lost in connection while I'm running or weighting. Wireless so no more of that wire getting in the way.
