    Loved the headphones, but broke 4 months later...

    I received these headphones as a birthday present back in July of this year. The headphones are great, and I've always trusted Sony with my money when it comes to buying anything audio-related. All of my CD players, headphones, even a minidisc player back in the day were all Sony because I love the brand. These were my first pair of Bluetooth headphones, and I love(d) them. The extra bass sounds great. Aside from a few bluetooth connections issues I had no problems with the headphones. That is, until tonight. I noticed that on the right side of the headphones, there is a significant crack in the plastic. I had read a review of another model of Sony bluetooth headphones similar to these (I think they were the 950BT headphones) where the customer complained about the cheap plastic in the same spot breaking on their headphones. I dismissed it thinking that it must be a fluke or that this person must have manhandled their headphones. Not anymore. My headphones are used daily...while I'm sitting at my computer listening to music or watching YouTube videos so that I don't disturb anyone else with the volume from my computer speakers. Nowhere else are they used. They have never left this house since getting them back in July, and they aren't abused or thrown around. I like to take care of my electronics. Needless to say, I am very disappointed. Since these were a gift, I do not have the receipt, and an extended warranty was not purchased. I believe that the headphones are only covered by a 30 day warranty, which is obviously up since it's now November. As an added punch to the gut, these headphones were $130 when purchased for me at Best Buy back in July, and they're now sitting here listed at $80. Only giving this two stars instead of one because other than the fact that they only lasted 4 months, they are great.

    Great when they work

    I purchased the MDR-XBR650BT to wear while watching TV late at night. They charged very quickly. They paired with my Samsung TV without incident. I’m not an audiophile, so the sound is alright with me. I’m only using them with my TV. However, every time I power them on, I must unpair them from the TV and pair them again to get sound, even though it says Bluetooth is connected and the TV confirms pairing and connectivity. This is quite frustrating to have to do each time I power on the headphones. I returned the last set, waited 2 days for the replacements, and I am having the same issues. I now have to return to the store again, 3 times in a week just for headphones. I am very disappointed. I researched headphones for a month and these appeared to be the best in my price range.

    Good, bad and ugly

    GOOD...sound, quality noise cancellation! BAD...construction, the swivel cracked and then broke! It happened on the first pair I bought after a few months. I thought it was the way I stored them in my bag. So I bought another pair because the sound is so great. The break happened again after two months after being handled very carefully. UGLY...Sony has known about this problem for years!!! With all the money they make in these products you think they would fix this problem. Sony has one less customer!!

    Misleading - Not Over Ear

    I ordered this online based on customer reviews and hoping they were Over the Ear. When I went to the store to pick up the item, something told me I should try them on first - SO GLAD I DID. They are NOT over the ear as advertised. First, you can feel them press against your ear after a few minutes. But most importantly, I tried the XB950 right next to it and that was clearly Over the Ear headphones. I looked up on YouTube just to see if I got my terminology right and I did. There is a pretty noticable comfort difference between the two. So, ,I immediately cancelled my order. The sound is good and it fits well on the head, but they are most definitely not over the ear.

    Amazing Sound, Horrible Build Quality!

    As a music producer, I love a good pair of headphones. Sony has always been my go to brand because of their phenomenal sound signature. I bought these headphones thinking that they'll be great and they were! However, they quickly became a piece of junk when the cheap plastic support structure (which holds the drivers) cracked and proceeded to fall apart after normal use. These headphones have the best sound quality that I've heard from Sony!, But they also have the worst build quality that I've ever seen from Sony.

    Good Headphones!

    I bought these headphones for my son last year for Christmas. He really enjoyed them. But when he had an issue with them we went back to the store to see if we can get another pair. Come to find out they discontinued this product. Couldn't find anything close to the ones my son wanted. At least we were able to get our money back. Always get the warranty!

    I was looking for a good headset and thought Sony would be the best - but I was very disappointed in the ease of connection. It was so complicated that I just couldn't do it - I then read a review where another senior citizen had the same problem. I had to exchange them for a different brand because this set was totally useless to me. Sony is a good brand name and I would recommend them because of their name.

    I bought these headphones two weeks ago, and I'm still fighting with them, the only device I could paired was with my Huawei P8 cell phone so I never could with my computer, I have a Lenovo, with another Huawei Mate 2 with the IPAD, really the bluet..connection is not working fine or is really bad..I would appreciate if someone can help me with this, tks

    Feels Like Two Bagels on my ears

    Great sound. But it feels like 2 bungied bagels on my ears. Very isolated, but very uncomfortable. This might be me more than your average person has a problem with, but I have a hard time knowing when the thing is not on ...or if the batteries dead. I'll bet, though, that both these problems could be remedied on the NEXT model. Again--great sound!

    After reading the reviews, I purchased the headphones. The overall feel, sound quality and voice clarity on the mic for calls, is great for the money, I was happy with my purchase. However, 2 weeks in they fell off my neck and hit the ground But not hard enough to make a dent... and I was shocked to find the them snapped in half!

    I felt that for the price point they didnt meet expectation. Volume was up all the way and wasn't very loud. Quality of the material met expectation and they were comfortable but volume was a let down. I returned soon after buying them.

    Middle of the road price and gear

    These headphones are very average. There are many others that are more expensive but these work just fine. The noise canceling quality is good. The only issue I have with these is keeping them on my head, the phones themselves are a little smaller than other brands so they move around a lot if I am active.

    Good sounding headphones but....

    there's one significant annoyance: the bluetooth light blinks a lot and it's very annoying, especially at night. I was watching a movie on my tablet, and I was distracted by the constant blinking of the bluetooth light. I'm disappointed, because I really liked the sound quality and comfort.

    The first set I bought started creating static noise within 2 months of the purchase. The second set started creating static noise within 1 month and then stopped connecting all together. The Bluetooth function would not connect to anything. We decided to go with a different product after that.

    Not the best

    I purchased these headphones for my grandson approx. 2 years ago. He says they sound good, but for some reason, they just stop working. Luckily I also bought ins. For them. So far he has had to exchange them 5 times now! I wouldn’t buy them again. Not worth it.

    Not very well made

    The sound quality is decent but they do not last. Had mine for less than a year and they have broke. Warrantee is only 90 days, so they are a cheap product that Sony doesn't want to stand behind.

    Happier if it worked properly

    This headphone was initially a good investment however, after a few uses, it stopped working properly. I can only hear through one speaker and I’ve researched various fix actions With no workable solution.

    These things absolutely rock in terms of battery life and Bluetooth distance. However they feel apart pretty quick. The amount of time I have spent taping it back together is absurd. If it wasn't for that it would be a 5 out of 5

    The sound quality is not that great! Very uncomfortable. The headset fits so tightly it hurts my ears. I wish I'd returned them right away but the salesperson gave me such a rave review and I wanted to give them a fair trial.

    I wanted this mainly to watch movies late at night, the only problem is I can't get it to connect with my sound bar. The only connection I can get is with my computer and then only within 3 feet. Plan on taking it back soon.
