I loved these headphones, until they snapped with the slightest movement. I have had them for 8 going on 9 months. I was sitting at work at my desk and I went to unfold them and one arm on the swiveling earpiece snapped in two. It didn't even make a sound it disconnected so effortlessly. Upon further inspection, all other 3 remaining arm pieces are cracked. Misuse or carelessness would not explain them breaking, take my word on that. Also, Sony offers no specific support as far as I can tell, for these type of headphones. Research that part for yourself though, I may have missed it. I do not know if I can tape/glue to prevent them from fully breaking. For $250, this should not be an issue. Otherwise, sound quality is great, sound cancelling works good for me. Bass sounds great. However I haven't put them on since the one cracked because they'll fully break. Useless if you ask me. I attached two pictures, one showing the fully broken arm and another showing another cracked arm.

Hi guy's, a heads up on these headphones. Check out the reviews on line. They do sound great... but in the 90 days that I have owned them, two pairs have broken at the swivel part that connects the ear piece to the headband. Best buy was gracious enough to replace the first pair, I should have listened a bit more when the guy offered to refund my purchase price, then offered the geek squad protection plan. NOTE: GET THE PROTECTION PLAN IF YOU INSIST ON BUYING THESE. I how ever did not and thusly I sit with $250.00 sony useless merch. Sony will not replace these. I have tried, many others as well. you've been warned... Bad Sony.

    Great sound, terrible design

The speakers and battery life of these headphones are fantastic. Too bad none of that matters when the construction of the headphones themselves is absolute garbage. I take very good care of my headphones and do nothing but workout with them, so it’s not like they’re going through a ton of impact motion. The hinge on them broke within 2 months while I was wearing them. I didn’t drop them and they broke, they were on my head when the hinge snapped. Parts are almost impossible to find and the repair itself is not easy for someone like me who doesn’t fair well with electronics. I would expect a much better product for $250. Sony will no longer receive my business.

I really enjoyed these headphones. I bought them in June 2017, and have loved them ever since. However, yesterday the swivel mechanism on the right side snapped. I don't even know how it snapped. I just put them on, they felt funny, and saw it was broken. Very disappointing. The headphones still sound awesome, but the fact that it snapped after less than a year leads me to believe there's either a design flaw, or a quality issue. I am going to reach out to Besy Buy to see what they can do.

I purchased these at a bargain price, but unfortunately they just don’t sound that good. I expected them to sound close to the beats studio over the ear headphones I have, but my beats earbuds sound better than these headphones. On the plus side, they connected easily to everything Bluetooth in my house, but the app that is needed for these to work is limited and lacks functionality. I would normally test drive headphones before I purchased them, but the price was right and it’s a Sony product. What could go wrong?

I am aware that those are extra bass headphones, but I was expecting this feature could be turned on and off. Unfortunately, even with the extra bass switch off, there is mostly bass coming out of those headphones. The heights and mids are muffled, so if you prefer listening the clean music with wide frequency spectrum, those are not for you. My other headphones are Sennheiser with the same price tag, and those two cannot be compared at all. In all segments the Sennheiser is better, especially the sound quality and comfort.

The only way to charge these headphones is to plug into a computer that awake. When your computer goes to sleep, it quits charging. Why couldn't they make them plug into a USB wall plug? They failed just about a year after purchase. The battery failed and you have to send it to somewhere else and the cost of replacing the battery is just about as much as the cost of the headphones.

I thought these Sony noise canceling headsets would be similar to my old ones. Needed a second set so I ordered these. They are very bulky. They are also rechargeable, which could be a good things for some, but I would prefer to have batteries. If you are on an airplane, and the charge runs out, you can't just slip in new batteries. I couldn't figure out how to work them. Couldn't turn on the noise canceling feature. My old ones you just flip a switch. Therefore, returned them.

Actually sounds pretty good, Bluetooth works good. HUGE Problem, the hinges are horrible. Had the headphones for about 6 month, and the hinges snapped. Tried to get Sony to fix it but since it's physical damage, it is not covered by warranty. I guess my head is just too large for it. Will not buy Sony headphones ever again. Good sound quality is important but if I can't wear the headphones, what's the point.

I liked these headphones for the first few months until the plastic started cracking. Best Buy said it wasn't their problem and Sony refuses to acknowledge a poor quality product. I am so disappointed in the handling of this issue. It'll make me think twice before dealing with either company again.

These headphones were good while they lasted but a hinge broke and they are unusable now. Lasted under a year. Forgot to purchase a protection plan. Besides the fact they broke, they are a nice set of headphones. Nice sound, comfortable enough for extended use. Noice canceling worked good too. I love the bass. Anyhow i wouldnt reccomend purchasing without a protection plan.

The headphones arrived one day prior to when they were supposed to. I had high hopes for these headphones. When I tried them on they were too tight and the earpieces were very uncomfortable. The directions were very confusing. I immediately repacked them and returned them. I am still waiting for my refund. Customer service was great.

I bought these back in August within a month the frame had cracked. For the record I was using these as intended I wasn’t playing football with them. I called both Best Buy and Sony both told me the other one was the person to deal with. Thoroughly disgusted, Wish I had done more research if you looking at these I would recommend Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2 far better quality

It worked great and sound and NC was great. I was able to toggle NC and Bass easily. Now after an hour or so of use the sound starts crackling. First I thought it was something wrong with my computer bluetooth, so I tested it with a computer and also a phone. same issue after a bit of use. I also cannot toggle NC as well.

I wasn’t impressed with the volume and bass levels as advertised. I’m a choreographer and when I listen to music through headphones I want to feel it move throughout my body via high frequency and bass. These headphones did not do that for me and I ultimately ended up returning them. Also, too big for me head. Needed smaller headphones.

While the sound was good, the noise cancelling feature was not good to me. I was still able to hear conversations around me. I am also not a fan of heavy bass so these were not the best choice for me. I received the headphones as a Christmas gift and I have returned them.

I am not pleased that you must download Sony proprietary app to get headset to function. This means you must be on an active network. When traveling internationally, this can be a huge problem. Additionally, the noise cancellation is not great, and on a jet, the speakers are just not loud enough.

Purchased for my daughter for Christmas, after 6 mos of off and on use, the swivel that attaches to the earphone broke. Contacted Sony and they do not cover any physical damage, only sound issues. Not worth the money for this design that breaks easily.

Review summary pretty much says it all. These do what they say, decent noise canceling. The bass boost does a decent job of boosting the base, but I just could never get the volume I wanted out of these. A little pricey for what they deliver.
