Solid Basic Mid Tier Option for Non Audiophiles.

(All these features make it great for the beach!) Cons: 2nd device pairing fails sometimes speakers are not loud enough for large outdoor spaces. (Perfect for indoors though if you want it loud) no way to control your songs from the device itself.

Decent speaker would not buy again

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is a very capable Bluetooth speaker, it has an amazing battery life the music is very clean and clear the only real cons on this breaker is that it does not get loud enough, there are just to many speakers at this price point that get way louder and sound just as good. So even though I rate it well I would encourage other to check the marketplace as there are a lot of less expensive speakers that sound just as well in addition to being louder with many of them retailing for a lower price.

I work in a factory so the environment is loud and this breaks through the sound and still be loud! It’s also got some good quality audio. I also love using this with thunderstorm and rain sounds at home. It’s got a nice balance between base and treble with the nice crisp audio that it honestly sometimes sounds like there an actual storm going on!

Great sound to fill a room

It fills the room with great sound and the battery lasts quite a long time. Long enough that we don't really need to worry about it. My 8 month old enjoys the lights on the side. I like that it can pair to two devices at once as it is really convenient switching between the two.

I brought this speaker to a week long wedding in Maine and never had to charge it. Used it for the bachelorette party then saved the day on the beach. It truly is sand resistant and easy to use with great sound quality!

Operates on USB phone charge, mega bass, 3.5 cord audio input and Bluetooth. It can be connected to another XG300 in the room. And you can download the Sony app to connect it to you phone for EQ settings.

Does size matter?

I think its sound is kinda lack luster for how big it is qnd how heavy it is. I have used smaller and lighter blietooth speakers that pack the same or more punch with a lower price. The speaker produces pretty good sound but could be better with everything considered.

Worth the money!

I waited a little to write to review just to make sure. We bought this for when we are out in the woods riding, we've carried it in backpacks on the bikes, used it while fishing (sitting on the bank) used it in a loud setting working in the house and during all of these activities the sound was never drained out. It packs a punch and gets the job done! Wayyyy to go Sony. Oh also we have gotten it wet with no problems at all. Not submerged wet but sat on embankment in the rain while fishing wet and it was fine afterward.

Saw a great deal on it, so picked it up. -The fullness and bass were actually too much for my original intention of connecting to a tablet for movies in bed during insomniac nights lol:) (Got a smaller speaker for that) Portability makes it handy to take to different areas of the house, inside and outside.

Best speaker I have used!

The sound quality is amazing and the bass is great (Especially on Mega Bass Mode). I often use it in my friend's car that has a broken stereo at the moment and it always gets the job done. Love the deeper bass sound. Great for backyard summer fun. Glad I went with this great speaker for the price. Seems very durable and battery life is great. USB-C is a superior charging system. Its 'MEGA BASS' preset gives your music a warm and punchy sound that works well with a range of genres. The mid-range is balanced, which means vocals and lead instruments sound crisp and clear. However, the high-pitched vocals and instruments can sometimes sound dull. The speaker lacks low bass, which means you won't feel the deep thump and rumble in EDM or hip-hop. Luckily, you can customize the sound profile using the graphic EQ and presets in the companion app. But, even with customization, you may still not feel the desired thump and rumble. The speaker can get pretty loud, but at maximum volume, there's some compression that affects audio quality.
