It's loud enough to hear all over my house. It's clear and the bass is thumping!!!. It’s a bit heavy but I prefer it to the box-like speakers although it rolls is on any bit of an incline. The battery lasted a whole season with us playing two games per week.

By downloading the Sony Music Center app, you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune the speaker using the built-in EQ and maximize the volume to ensure optimal listening experience. To get the most out of the volume, turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission. • While the speaker is running on power from the rechargeable built-in battery, the sound may become low in the event that the rechargeable built-in battery is running out of power and the CHARGE indicator flashes slowly. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. • If the sound becomes low while in use, follow the procedure below. 1. Turn off the speaker. 2. Charge the built-in battery sufficiently.

I live the Party Connect feature. Make sure you update the software once you get the speakers because the connection is glitchy without it. However, no matter how much I loved those two speakers, I needed something that would steal have good sound quality well not connected to a power source. That’s exactly what this unit does. It still has all the cool features: bass boost, party connect, and lights that pulls to the sound of the base. The only issue or wish that I have is that the app/music Center would have the capability of turning the speakers on. It will turn them off but not back on. Also, each time the speakers are powered down the party connect connection is lost and you have to manually turn them back on and reconnect them. It takes less than a minute once the units are recognized, but I feel like this is falling short of what the app could offer by maintaining the connection until I choose to change it. As far as the sound quality, I’m very happy. All genre of songs have clear high and mid range. And the bass is solid.

For indoors this speaker blows all wireless speakers off the water.

It was great for the first 5 months I got it. Unfortunately left it in my car and got stolen. I'm writing this review to hopefully get the $400 gift card and get another one.
