LED lighting on handle bars make it very pleasing to look at. Handles making it very easy to move around. And all around, Loud Speaker with strong directional sound! Would absolutely recommend if in ur budget!

First time party speaker purchase

The sound quality is very nice and the mega bass is really good, but the issue is it has to be plugged in to the outlet for max sound. If you unplug it the power of sound suffers. Still,bang for buck sounds great.

The maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. If the sound is low, please check the following:
Charge the built-in battery sufficiently.
To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet.
Turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device.
Check that the connected device is playing.

Great Sony Speaker

Overall great sound quality and excellent battery life. I do recommend pluging in the speaker to outlet to get louder volume.

Great sound

Decent volume but critics may be correct on lack of punch when not plugged in, but still good enough for a modest social gathering outside. Guitar and mic inputs are awesome though I am still trying to figure out if the amp guitar button works. When my guitar is plugged in without the guitar button on, I get sound, when I turn on the guitar button (white light comes on) I get no sound.

This one speaker can be heard throughout my entire house and is great for the beach and other outings where you want far projection of quality sound. I definitely recommend getting two and linking them together for large outdoor spaces, but for backyards and household use, just one is more than enough. Holds a long lasting charge, has really easy set up and linking to an app, great lighting and connect with other devices in the house. Hands-down great buy!

Sony MEGA BASS job site speaker

I am old enough to know that you get what you pay for, yet I fell for the “MEGA BASS” lettering on the box. All I got was “MEGA “ disappointment. So while returning the first purchase, checking reviews I purchased Sony 434. ( I believe that’s the correct name) when I picked it up it was so heavy I thought this was what I needed. ( This also had the Mega bass) while being a hundred times better than the first purchase. It was not what I needed in a speaker. So before returning that one I went back to the reviews. Finding Sonys 500 WITH MEGA BASS. This was the sound I was looking for. The bass kicks and for the price the sound quality is very good. Hard to believe you can run this off a battery. I still use the mini Jack also which I wanted. A lot of the newer models don’t have anymore. (I am the last person still using mini jack) I highly recommend this speaker I use it on the job site. I kept the box and cut out openings for the front, top, and rear for protection. I Love this speaker. Great job Sony.

This Speaker Is Great!

I bought this speaker to use for a small wedding ceremony, as sound reinforcement for the officiant. The ceremony was held in a pasture on the side of a mountain here in Hawaii, with no way to get power to the site. Using some ingenuity, a Jackery power supply also purchased from Best Buy, some lavalier microphones, and a mixer, the Sony XP500 performed wonderfully. The sound was clear and clean, and people asked more about the speaker than they did about the ceremony! Great purchase, worth every penny!
