My mother in law has the bigger speaker and i was in love with it. I xould not afford the larger one so I decided to give the smaller one a try and to my surprise it was just as great just a little lower in volume. Great open box product.

Regarding the ports: The SRS-XV500 is equipped with inputs for maximum flexibility. You should find ports for both a microphone and a guitar/bass on the rear panel of the unit, typically labeled accordingly. This allows you to use the speaker for karaoke or even plug in an instrument directly.
If you’re having trouble locating them or getting them to work, please let us know, or you can check the user manual for a diagram of the rear panel connections!
