The camera was very good but had a fatal flaw: the 24mm wife angle felt more like 27mm. This meant the camera image was just not wide enough to be held at arms length. I've returned the camera and will try the ZV-10 with changeable lenses. However, I will not buy from Best Buy. I have been an Elite Rewards member for years but the program was killed days before my purchase. A late night 2am email "change in terms" was the only notification. Poor service here for a decade long customer and when I returned the camera after 18 days I was shocked to be told that I could not return the camera. A manager took pity and gave a one time exception. I'll be buying from B&H or Amazon in the future.

The Sony ZV-1 is a great camera for vlog style videos or sit down videos like product reviews but not much else. For me, I was looking for a camera that could do it a little bit of everything. I was hoping that it could be a camera that is for vlogging PLUS a little extra. Turns out, it's for that and only that. I found that the lens angle was also not that wide so if you're vlogging and you want to get some background scenery, you might have to purchase a selfie stick to get more in the shot. The camera did have in body stabilization which is great for when you're walking and filming but it also crops in it so the frame of the video is even smaller. It's great for beginner vloggers, sit down videos, or and perfect for a second easy/quick pull out camera. If you're looking for more than that, you might want to look elsewhere.

We gifted this to my husband last Christmas… he kept telling me his truck was a magnet to all the non drivers that pull out in front of him daily and some of the stories I just didn’t believe. Well he was right, I started watching the playbacks from his camera and it is crazy how many people cannot drive!!! All the videos are clear and prove which driver would be in the wrong if ever needed. This camera clearly removes any burden of proof from an accident.

This camera is full-featured and ready to use out of the box. Audio is captured well from the onboard mic. Picture quality is stellar especially at 4K. Its trade-off however is the narrow camera lens. There's a reason why so many people by add-on lens expander to be able to capture more. I haven't found the need for this but I can understand why some would. All in all it's a great camera and the Bluetooth handle works well as well. With that said, I still default back to my cell phone on many occasions.

Great beginner digital camera. Takes a short period of time to get used to how to get it up and shooting. I'm very happy with the outcome of all the videos if shot so far.

The camera performs well for it’s size and convenience. It performs moderately/poorly in low lighting conditions. I think if Sony wanted to make a true vlogger camera, they would scale back the 24mm back to at least 18mm so it’s easier in selfie mode to capture the vlogger/scenery/co-host. The quality otherwise is acceptable for vlogging purposes but I would say that with just a little bit more cost and size/weight of the camera, there are far superior options out there that will make stunning movie quality videos. The ZV1 doesn’t translate well to big flat screens/4K resolution TVs whereas bigger models such as the a7 models will produce beautiful and sharp/smooth videos.

This camera is very easy to use and works well for what I need it for. We recently upgraded our technical equipment at church. We wanted to be able to record the service in our sanctuary and show live in our fellowship hall. Through the Best Buy techs, we were able to figure out how to do this; but needed a video camera that did video and audio transmittal. I am extremely "non-technical" but this camera and the connections make the task easy. I have not used this for regular photography, but look forward to experiencing that side of it as well. From looking over the camera's capabilities, I think I will be learning something new for years to come.

It broke and i had Purchased the geek squad warranty. I was Told i get A replacement but they are making me pay for the replacement.

Perfect camera for vlogging, mini documentaries and even music videos, I highly recommend this camera. Many features that other vlogging cameras lack

I have an upcoming vacation and needed a camera. I learned the hard way that you can’t rely on your smart phone as I had lost about a year’s worth of photos and videos when my phone crashed (not as disciplined when it comes to backing up my phone). This camera was designed for bloggers so has some cool features. The one issue is it’s not meant for close-ups (unlike my iPhone which has 3 lenses). That said, once you understand the design, you’ll know what you can and cannot do. I’m definitely liking the compactness and ability to put this cam in your pocket. While I have some nice digital cameras, I’m at the point where I don’t want to have a heavy camera hanging on me, nor do I want to lug around a camera bag.

I just got this so I can’t speak to all its features but that’s part of the beauty of this camera...out of the box it will have you shooting gorgeous photos and insanely clear video. I was quick to add an extra battery as the one in here is small and most reviews will tell you it won’t last too long if you’re shooting video. I opted with the extra being Sony but there are generics out there. I also added a Smallrig, an Atomos 5” monitor, a Samsung T5, and later I'll add some wireless lapel mics. Like i said out of the box this thing rocks but the customization opportunities are almost endless too. Buy it, it punches well above its weight and will outperform your expectations.

I've had this camera for almost a month and literally have no complaints about it. I was recording videos on my iPhone XR and thought the video quality on that was great but they took up so much storage on my phone. Using this camera has been a gamechanger and I actually think that the video resolution using this camera was better than that used by my iPhone. At first, I was hesitant to get this camera after reading some reviews on heating issues with the camera but I haven't had any of those problems. I also love that camera charges through a USB cable instead of an external battery pack. Yes, it's expensive but not as much as many others and I thought that it was a worthwhile purchase. Also, so easy to figure out how to use.

I’ve had this camera for about a month now and wow. I just love it. I own several Sony Cameras for my filmmaking (a6000, a6300 & a6400) and wondered whether I should even bother with the ZV-1. I’ve got to say, I’m glad I did. The ZV-1 is SO compact, easy to slide into the front pocket of my bag WITH the handgrip on and overall, that makes it easier to use. Less set up. Less to put it away. When you flip the screen open, the camera comes on instantly. You can be ready to shoot in a matter of seconds. I can’t do that with any of my other cameras. When I’m out and about and want to film something on the fly, THIS is the camera i reach for now. There’s a lot of GREAT features packed into this tiny camera! I’m very happy with my purchase!

This is by far the best investment I've ever made. The camera's performance is flawless and it has greatly improved my video quality. I receive compliments all the time on my YouTube videos, all thanks to this new camera. If you're looking to upgrade your video production, I highly recommend this camera.
