Being light and compact makes it easy to take on trips and carry daily. Mic input has been great with shotguns and wireless. Also use frequently as a webcam which is quick and painless to set up. Only negative is photography performance, but never intended to use for photos. If still photography is important there are better compact options.

However so it’s popularity the canon ended up being back ordered with no update on when they’d be available again. Everyone said they were similar so I decided to try my hand. I bought a pre owned one that was offered to be like new. It was! Though this isn’t related to Best Buy directly my one complaint is that it comes with no batteries or a charger. So be prepared to buy one, especially multiple batteries as I’d say they last about an hour during filming. My one qualm with Best Buy in itself is that, I don’t know how thorough they check pre owned returns, but the usb provided was not compatible with the camera. While the camera does offer Bluetooth sharing via camera to phone, if you’re already at max capacity storage wise with your phone it’s pointless. Please make sure the usb provided IS the usb that’s for the camera. Now I have to come out of pocket yet again for yet another accessory just to transfer my videos to my laptop. Thank you!

Just what I was expecting!

At first I was concerned but so far the product has been doing exactly what I expected. It works well, the battery lasts longer than I thought and the quality of both videos and pictures are great!

If that’s your only focus, I’d recommend going with this. If you’re wanting something for photography, consider other options. Picture taking was okay.
