Controls flow smoothly, story mode plays out for each character individually throughout the timeline of soul calibur, great graphics and character creator has more content and creativity

This is Soul Calibur back at the top of it's game. The gameplay is fluid and easy to get into while requiring dedication to truly master. It even let's me plug in my old PS3 fight stick and just works! No need to keep a controller connected or enable the fight stick from a menu *cough SFV cough* Not quite perfect though. The textures are inexplicably blurry on some parts of some characters, there's no matchmaking that let's you accept online opponents while playing through one of its (awesome) single-player campaigns, allowing custom characters in Ranked is crazy and there's no way to report players who abuse custom characters to cheat by obstructing their model by, say, attaching three giant turtle shells.

Great overall game. The animations and graphics are amazing. The game is extremely fun and there's plenty of things to do. Fighting mechanics are solid as well.

After the mess that was SC V, this game is great! It has excellent graphics and controls, and brings back the characters Soul Calibur fans fell in love with!

I have to admit this is my first Soulcalibur. I originally came to the title on the basis as playing as the Witcher himself, but quickly found that I had vastly undersold the actual game. It's loads of fun, especially in split-screen with friends, with a large roster with plenty of variety amongst them, a decent amount of modes, and the game's true claim to fame, it's incredibly versatile Creation mode. You can use it to create anything you can imagine, I've even seen an accurate Magikarp from the Pokemon series. Also though, Geralt is as awesome as he looks.

Soul Calibur VI feels like the series never left; familiar, but still satisfying gameplay and with a host of long-lasting options including character creator and two separate story modes.

The game mechanics are smooth and beginner friendly so it’s easy to get into if you’re thinking of purchasing. The main attraction however is the new implementation of 100 custom characters that you yourself get to design in anyway you see fit and give it a selected fighting style of your choosing. I’ve been waiting for this game for a long time and being honest it was everything I expected and more. Also if this is your first Soul Calibur game it should be noted that this game has two story modes the main one and another one based around your custom

It’s pretty much the gameplay you know and love. The character creation really shines though, and is a lot of fun! Playing as 2B (Nier Automata) is great, so grab the DLC.

The game is very polished and good. I love all the characters available and playing the Witcher. Having the bonus Talik figure was even better. I recommend this game for sure.

A great game with fantastic gameplay and a robust character creator. Just needs more CAS parts for character creation. Can't wait for 2b!

I have not played since SC 3 and randomly decided to get this. after getting comfortable with a few characters in single player modes, I went online. after about 50 rounds, I was doing fairly average (winning half my games). People complain about the reversal edge, but it is actually really balanced and not something that comes up very much in online play due to the gamble side of it. 4/5 stars because single player gets very easy quickly. Game looks great (though I have little experience with the last few installations of the series) Online play is fun and competitive. Easy to learn, difficult to master.

It's great to see Soul Calibur back after such a long hiatus. This entry proves that the franchise still has legs, hopefully for years to come. What makes Soul Calibur different from other fighting games is the focus on weapons as every character uses a unique weapon that affects their fighting style. Most fighting games have a high barrier to entry and require memorization of long button combos but once you learn the basic controls Soul Calibur VI is easy to jump into even if you are an absolute beginner.

Good character roster, feels good to play, and really good single player if you like that. Pick it up if you like 3D fighters.

Do you like fighting games? Do you enjoy deeply immersive games that don't hold your hand? Get this game. The graphics aren't incredible but the gameplay is top notch. If you liked the speed of SCII then this one is sure to make you remember those good times. I'm not supportive of Namco/Bandai doing their bad business practices with the DLC but otherwise, this game is great with every character feeling completely different from one another.

Looking forward to beating the crap out of my son with this game!! We used to go at it with Soul Caliber 5 like crazy!!
