This game is alright, kind of cheesy, fun to play with friends, but not a fan of it as a professional fighting game, will stick with Tekken and DBFZ

It's your average fighting game so you will like it. Nothing that makes it stand out. Just enjoy it for what it is.

Good game that is more of the previous versions of the game. Don't see much difference, but still fun nonetheless.

Story mode is literally ALL reading. I should’ve just read a book instead. They charge 60 for this and they couldn’t even make animated scenes for story mode? Complete disappointment in this game. At the very least I can play the same old soul calibur on my ps4 now. Nothing new about this game at all

This game appears to be a Mortal Kombat with swords. It's okay. Good for some, but not for all...

Soulcalibur 6 – Summary: Too flashy & gimmicky. Nowhere near as well refined, clean, balanced, or well produced as Soul Calibur 2 or 3. Control issues, tedious menu navigation, glitch-y & dull customization, long loading times.

Not a huge leap forward, but still a fun game

Despite being a next-gen game, Soulcalibur 6 was created with a limited budget and it shows. While the presentation is great, the graphics look very similar to its predecessor. Many assets in the Character Creation feature are recycled from the previous game as well (some even sold as DLC). Still, there is a decent amount of creation parts available to create and customize characters to your liking (including different races and body types). Gameplay is still just as good as the previous installments. Fast paced and easy to pick up and play. There is a detailed RPG like story mode specifically for created Characters, where you travel through different areas defeating enemies, gaining weapons and items/food to increase your skills and stats, and earn gold to unlock in game items. Overall, a fun game, but seeing that it came out 6 years after its predecessor, there could have been way more put into the game.

Soul calibur 6 is the best game in the series. All the favorite characters from the older games are back. Tons of content added. Two single player story modes. The character creation mode is awesome.

A visual masterpiece with technical mediocrity

This is the first Soulcalibur I have purchased since the Dreamcast and as a sequel to the first, it would be amazing. As the 6th in a series by the same developer that makes the Tekken series, it is an attempt to port the evolution of one series onto the graphics of another. It has inherited the customization of Tekken, but also the excessively slow fighting style. Every move has to be perfectly timed in a nearly robotic manner or the player comes to a complete stop that requires a gap before accepting input. The AI is designed to have an expert response to these gaps and will retaliate with an array of attacks that ends in your death. This is not a game of skill, but a game of repetition. You will find that many players in ranked and unranked matches have become so accustomed to this style that even their attacks follow a very obvious and redundant pattern. For those of us that come from Dead or Alive and the fast-paced fighting games, it is not hard to adjust for the "lag" and easily overcome these mechanized opponents. In terms of quality, the game is a visual masterpiece with technical mediocrity. It's a fun distraction until Dead or Alive 6.

    Another SoulCalibur?

I'm pleasantly surprised by this new iteration of SoulCalibur after skipping 4 and 5 due to a lack of a Create a Soul story mode. The game runs great and is a blast to play! The only downside? Ridiculously small text. Why is the text so small???
