Great sound from a small sound bar. I got the 50” LED Insignia TV to match this, and while it doesn’t match the width of the TV the sound bar does a much better job than just the TV speakers. We got it specifically for a tv/soundbar solution to have in our workout room. Now if you’re on the treadmill running it’s very easy to hear all the dialogue.

We looked at reviews then took advice from others and wound up choosing this as best quality available for the low cost. We're quite happy with it for regular television viewing and don't need it for gaming or any tech uses. The only drawback also mentioned by another reviewer is that the sound doesn't quite sync with the tv. When people are speaking their lips don't exactly start or stop with the sound coming out of the sound bar. It's just a minor gap, though, and isn't annoying to the point of wanting to exchange it. This seems to be a problem with some other sound bars anyway so I'm not going to knock off a star since it's an all-around good product for what we need. We found that if we just look a tad away from eye contact of the person speaking (eyebrows instead of eyes) it makes it less noticable. (This little technique also comes in really handy in situations that require you to hold uncomfortable/intimidating eye contact such as speaking with a boss or being interviewed for a job. The person will never know you're doing it. Eyebrows instead of eyes. Try it!) The volume on our other television has been fine but after using this sound bar for a few weeks we've noticed such an improvement in sound quality that we've decided to purchase another one for that other TV. We got it on sale for $49.99 and were prepared to pay the $99.99 full price for this second one but just realized it's still on sale. This quality at this price is a real bargain and we'll probably get a few more to keep for presents. It makes it much less daunting for people like us to choose electronics and tech products and we sure hope you'll continue being so generous with your expertise and suggestions.

For the price ($50 in the open box section), this is the best sound bar setup you're going to get. It has a bass speaker on the bottom of the unit for lower frequencies. It's not as good as a subwoofer, but...$50. I've never had any problems from Insignia products; the quality and longevity stand up to more expensive brands. This is perfect for flat screen TVs or as a separate audio source for the garage. You can connect your smartphone via Bluetooth or RCA cables.

Worth the money. Got a big sound for its size and value. Gets really loud without distortions. Great bass as well.

Have tried many different sound bars. This one tops them all. Especially since you can plug a subwoofer directly into it and really enjoy strong bass. Even without the sub, it is a great sound bar. I now have three and with the new LED tv's having such weak speakers this is a must. Only thing I wish is that it had an auto off or would operate on tv on/off button so you did not have to remember always to turn it off separately. Otherwise, a stellar sound bar.

I got this soundbar while it was on sale. I needed something better than the bad speakers on the TV, and this does the trick. It is louder and sounds better. While it lacks bass, there's a connection for a powered sub in the rear. It hooks up easily to the TV via a cable (not included). Overall, I am happy with this purchase.

This item was on sale for $60 (normal price $100), and I had a gift card so I figured why not. I knew I wanted a better sound system for my TV than just it's basic rear speakers. I tend to like higher end sound products like Bose, but this works great, and the sound quality for video games, movies, and TV shows has been great. The Bluetooth connectivity is also perfect for not having extra wires and cable crisscrossing all over my TV stand.

Soundbar takes only minutes to install and the sound difference is immediate. Face it, even the most expensive TV speakers are mediocre. Obviously had there been a sub-woofer the sound would have been enhanced considerably, but the quality of this soundbar is so much better than the tiny speakers that come with most TVs.

Honestly, for the price this things is not bad. I have an insignia TV so I bought it to match and because it was on sale. It's not my main TV but now when I use it the sound is much louder and clearer, which is great since the TV speakers aren't very good. You get what you pay for and I would say for $50 you get a good deal.

I bought for my auntie, and she loves it. Sound is good and setup is easy. Bluetooth is a plus.

For the price you can't beat it. The sound quality is decent. You are also able to connect bluetooth devices such as MP3 or iPhone to play music. You can attach an optional subwoofer as well. Great value.

Bought as a gift for daughters college apartment. Would not do anything but crackle so called both Best Buy and insignia customer service. Not very helpful but from reading various forums, we determined that optical cable was required, though it was not included nor was that indicated as necessary on the box or specs. After two trips to closest best buy in middle ga (50 miles away), daughter was able to figure out the problem, buy the optical cable, and set up the basic soundbar. Obviously anyone buying this inexpensive, entry-level soundbar to augment horrible Smart TV speakers is not an audiophile. It should be much more clearly noted as a requirement, and by in-store customer service, that it will not work on a smart tv (not sure about non smart) without an additional purchase. Daughter really had to work for this Xmas gift!

I needed a soundbar for my man cave. I purchased a small insignia soundbar for another room and was about to buy a second one until I found out at the store that this larger model was on sale (4th of July) and was actually cheaper! This model was about $60 so I bought it. Obviously I could hear the difference between this one and the smaller version. I don't hear a difference between this one and a $300 soundbar.

Incredible for the price. Don't compare this soundbar with those costing several hundred$. But to enhance the horrible sounding flat screen TV's , this is an affordable and surprisingly good soundbar. I think BB is closing them out so now is the time to get a steal of a deal, before they're gone.

I love this product especially for the price. However I have yet to pair my tv with it. I wish u had known prior to purchase that an additional adapter was needed to pair with tv so that I could've purchased them together. Overall great sound quality when paired with other Bluetooth capabilities devices.

Amazing sound and thumping bass. Even the Bluetooth function works around the house.

Using this bar for a spare bedroom TV and it really fills the area with quality sound. It's been working great and beats the stock TV speakers by a million miles. For 50 bucks you cant go wrong. Doesnt include an optical audio cable in the box, which is the only reason it gets 4 stars and not 5.

The sound bar was simple to install I used an optical cable as it was described as best The sound bar worked as expected The sound quality was a small step up from the television speakers which is what i expected from this entry level sound bar - but it does improve the viewing experience
