*** Summary ***
The Anker Liberty 5 Bluetooth earbuds were a pleasant surprise for me with their good sound quality, excellent active noise cancellation, and a plethora of tuning options to dial in the EQ to my liking, all at a price point that is very affordable. All of my previous earbuds were from bigger “brand name” companies which I chose because of their brand cachet and the fear of making a mistake. After experiencing the Liberty 5 across multiple scenarios, I can attest that Anker knows what they’re doing when it comes to creating quality audio hardware with premium features at a fair and value price point. Due to some small inconveniences, I can’t give it full stars, but a 4.5 Stars. It’s still a Win.
________
*Pros:
-Excellent sound quality.
-Really good active noise cancellation.
-Clear and loud phone calls even with just one bud.
-Excellent wind noise masking during calls.
-Comes with six different ear bud tip sizes.
-Supports Dolby Audio and LDAC (high-res audio)
-8-band custom EQ + lots of preset options
-Good battery life.
-Comfortable for long-term wear.
-Very fast quick charge.
-Solid Bluetooth connection.
-Excellent value.
________
*Neutral:
-When opening the lid, there is slight friction in the beginning that prevents smooth opening due to the wobbly lid.
-Out of the box, the sound is tuned too much for bass and a bit muddy.
-Sometimes difficult fishing out the earbuds out of the case.
________
*Cons:
-No raised groove on lid hard to tell which direction to slide open the lid
*** Hardware, Design, and Comfort ***
I found the design of the Liberty 5 to be attractive and functional. The bud part that goes inside the ear offers a comfortable and secure fit thanks to the six differently sized ear tips, and the ear tips offer a great seal for very good passive noise cancellation.
The stem part is where the touch control zones are, and I found the length to be just right. The touch zone has an indent on the surface, making it easy to find it. I found the touch responsiveness, however, to be a bit lacking. Instead of my desired action, such as music pause, happening immediately, there is a delay that made me doubt whether my command was going to go through or not. I eventually got used to this but during my break-in period, it was kind of annoying.
The earbuds are compact and light, and they were very comfortable to wear for hours on end.
The buds snap inside the case quickly and accurately via the strong magnetic force, and I found the case to be comfortable to carry around thanks to its small footprint. The plastic feels a bit cheap-feeling and the sliding lid wobbles up and down on the hinge, which makes opening the case not very smooth. Also, there is no indent on the lid, making it hard to know in which direction I should push the lid open when I’m not looking at the case. I’m guessing this area is where Anker cut some corners in order to keep the Liberty 5 below a certain price point. It’s a not a big deal or let down but I’m not sure how durable the lid and the hinge will be long term.
*** Audio and Sound Quality ***
I mainly use the Liberty 5 earbuds at work to listen to music, and they have been excelling in my sometimes-noisy environment. I have some noisy cubicle neighbors but thanks to the quick-reacting and excellent active noise cancellation (ANC), I’ve been able to listen to my music in peace.
Out of the box, I found the default tuning to be too heavily oriented toward bass, which sometimes resulted in muddy-sounding music. I played around with the different preset EQ settings as well as setting up my own custom EQ curve, and so far, I find the Piano preset to be the best for the types of music I listen to. With so many tuning options, I’m sure you won’t have a problem dialing in the earbuds to your liking.
After my dog chewed up my Plantronics Bluetooth earbud, I decided to try using the Liberty 5 for phone calls, and I was surprised by how good it was at delivering loud, clear voices and blocking out ambient noise for the person on the other line. Everyone I talked to said my voice and volume were MUCH better, and they asked me to use the Liberty 5 every time I called them from now on. 😊
The high-res LDAC option isn’t available to toggle on out of the box, but you can unlock it via a firmware update. The app will warn you that battery life will go down as a result, but it’s totally worth toggling on both LDAC and Dolby Audio for the better sound experience.
Speaking of battery, Anker lived up to its marketing claim and the buds charged up REALLY fast.
*** Is it a good buy? ***
Yes, most definitely. Anker may not have the brand cachet of the big market players, but the Liberty 5 earbuds deserve to be tried. The sound is very good, the tuning options are myriad, the ANC is excellent, and the buds are comfortable to wear for long hours. I would totally recommend these to my friends and family unapologetically.

Wearing in-ear headphones has been challenging for me until now because I have small ear canals and many earbuds were so large that they caused pain. The Liberty 5 earbuds, however, come with assorted tips in various sizes. The size 'small' fit me without pain!
I am excited to finally have some noise-cancelling earbuds that fit. Installing these earbuds was not difficult, but was more involved that just connecting via bluetooth (not hard, just a small number of steps). The earbuds come packed with the instructions printed on the box insert! First thing to do is scan the qr code and download the Soundcore program to your phone. Take a few minutes to go through all the steps and fittings, including testing your hearing, so that the earbuds will be customized for YOU.
I mentioned the earbud tip sizes coming in a large range. Comes installed with medium tips and the extra tips (from XXS to XL) are stored in the bottom on the box. Try them on for fit and comfort. I went with the XXS. Next it will test the sound cancelling fit. This resulted in my selecting the XS size for the right ear and the XXS size for the left. Oh, and keep the qr code as the paper 'pamphlet' is totally too small a font to read (but probably satisfies lawyers world-wide. Sigh).
Then follow the steps to connect and you're in!! The sound quality was really nice. The click buttons on the right and left can be programmed to answer calls, change volume and more. Be sure to cycle through these and set them to your preferences.
The charging is super! Can charge in a few minutes and last five hours, which works for me since I will be using them for virtual work (charge during meal break!). The charging case is small and has a slide cover, which should keep them in place in a pocket or bag. The charging cord that came with them has a large USB-A end to plug into the electricity, which is not available on my laptop, but that is a small work-around.
Overall, the soundcore Liberty 5 earbuds seems excellent. For me, with small ear canals, I do not think they would stay in during exercise or outside activities, but for deskwork, driving, etc, they will be perfect!

I've used earbuds over the years from virtually every major manufacturer. This was my first time using earbuds from Anker. I was pleasantly surprised with how terrific they were, as they have a fairly low MSRP and they feature active noise canceling.
Pros:
- The sound quality was fantastic. From my experience, the sound quality outperforms every other brand I've used in a similar price range. Podcasts sounded great and music was terrific as well.
- I like the design of the case with how it gently slides open. The earbuds magnetically snap into place very easily.
- While many earbud products provide you with 3 sets of ear tips for different sized ears, this product provides SIX different sizes. You are pretty much guaranteed to get the perfectly comfortable fit that you are looking for.
- I'm typically not a fan of audio companion apps, but the Soundcore app does have a cool white noise feature that I liked. It had tons of preset options if you want to meditate with specific background noises, fall asleep to gentle waves, etc. You can also easily customize white/background noise to your liking by adding anything from birds, to campfires, to hiking steps, crickets etc. The combinations are nearly infinite.
Cons:
- The touch controls worked OK for me, but there was a slight learning curve to get the proper pinching technique down.
When you consider the sound quality, craftsmanship, features (ANC), and price range, this Anker Liberty 5 Soundcore product is an excellent option!

Earbuds come in all shapes and sizes, and since I have had good experiences with Soundcore in the past, I wanted to try these. The design mirrors many premium models, with the microphone positioned at the end of the stem. They include a charging case and a companion app that allows for deeper customization.
The charging case feels solid and opens smoothly, and placing the earbuds in or taking them out is effortless. Pairing was fast and straightforward, so setup only took a few moments. The app is well organized and useful for firmware updates, adjusting touch controls, and personalizing audio settings. The Preference Sound feature stands out because it creates a sound profile based on a short listening test, tailoring playback to individual hearing preferences.
Comfort is another strong point. They are lightweight and sit securely without drawing attention to themselves once inserted. Transparency mode is available, though with a proper seal there is already noticeable passive isolation. While I did not hear much environmental noise even in transparency mode, I could clearly tell when it was active because my own voice sounded more natural when speaking.
There are a few areas that could be improved. When I moved my head, the microphone stem occasionally brushed against my shoulder, creating a faint crinkling sound that was more noticeable in transparency mode. The physical control button can also be tricky to find by feel, and it requires a firm press to activate, which makes it seem slightly stiff. Additionally, removing the earbuds pauses playback but does not automatically shift audio back to the connected device’s speaker.
Sound quality is where these earbuds really stand out. Across genres, the presentation is rich and balanced. Bass delivers impact without overwhelming the mids, vocals remain clear and forward, and highs are crisp without becoming sharp. The overall tuning allows for extended listening without fatigue.
Enabling Dolby Sound in Music Mode while streaming through Apple Music expanded the presentation even further. The audio felt more spacious, with improved instrument placement and clearer separation between layers. Subtle details emerged more distinctly, giving tracks a greater sense of depth without sounding artificial.
The personalized sound profile enhanced this even more by subtly refining tonal balance to better match my hearing. The preset EQ options were also useful when I wanted a slightly different emphasis for certain styles of music, offering quick adjustments without manual tweaking.
When watching movies on Disney+, Dolby content translated well. Dialogue stayed focused and intelligible, while effects and background elements remained clearly defined. Action scenes carried weight, yet voices were never overshadowed. Whether listening to music or watching films, the clarity, separation, and dimensional quality consistently impressed me.
If you are looking for a budget-friendly premium listening experience, these earbuds are worth looking at.

PROS:
ANC punches above its weight class (especially at this price point)
PRICE!! Unbelievable value (Currently $90)
An array of audio customizing to fit your personal listening profile
Call quality is great too!
Fully fleshed out app filled with options
Wireless charging
It has an option for wind protection, which is always welcomed
CONS:
Touch controls are finicky and not user-friendly
The case is super light and has a "plasticy" feeling; i.e., cheap
(I prefer some heft to my cases because this one feels like you can
drop it, and it'll be destroyed easily)
Anker, a Chinese electronics company, is well-known for its chargers, power banks, portable power stations, and a variety of home electronic accessories. In recent years, the company has shifted its focus towards the headphone market. Upon unboxing the Soundcore Liberty 5 earbuds, it's clear that Anker has put significant effort into refining these earbuds while keeping the price point attractive. The value these earbuds provide is truly impressive. Priced at $90, the Soundcore Liberty 5 competes with models that cost twice as much, as someone who owns over seven pairs of earbuds.
My current favorite earbuds are the Nobel Audio FoKus Rex5s, which retail for $450. With the Liberty 5s priced at just 20% of the Rex5s, one might expect them to perform 80% better than the Liberty's. Not even close. The Liberty 5s hold their own against earbuds in the $250 range, and I'm not just saying that to hype them up. They genuinely impress.
While the soundstage isn't particularly wide, the audio quality exceeds expectations for their price. You can dive into the settings and customize the sound to your preferences. It may take trial and error, but you'll be able to fine-tune the audio to your liking, regardless of how you plan to use it. They naturally lean a bit towards the bass side, but you can adjust the profile to suit your taste. Though if bass is your thing (hip-hop), they even have a bass booster. However, with ANC on and bass boost enabled, the audio muddies slightly.
Is the value of these impressive? Absolutely! The ANC drowns out the noise from around you well. However, there are a few drawbacks to consider. One of the main issues is the controls. The app will have you practicing three times. Still, I found myself struggling to get through the tutorial because the controls aren't very user-friendly. In fact, since completing the tutorial, I haven't used the earbuds for any controls because my phone is always within arm's reach. This could be a significant drawback if you're planning to use these while running with your smartwatch and not your phone, for instance.
The Liberty 5s come with a couple of notable drawbacks, particularly regarding the case's quality. While they do offer wireless charging, the case itself feels quite flimsy and is made of plastic, which doesn't inspire much confidence in its durability against drops or accidents. You can easily notice the hinge's weakness when the case is open, as it wobbles with a light touch. Therefore, it's important to handle this case with extra care.
Despite these significant downsides, I can overlook them given the price point. At just $90 (currently) from Best Buy, it's hard to find a better deal for the audio quality these buds provide. They are fantastic for workouts or outdoor activities, as long as you make sure the case is secured. While there may be other earbuds that deliver superior sound, you'll likely have to spend twice as much for just marginal improvements.

PROS
Aggressive Voice Suppression
Up to 8hrs Battery Life with ANC
Excellent Soundcore App
CONS
Soundcore App not supported by all Android 16 Devices
Wonky & Cheap touch controls
Fitment test results are not in sync with each other
Never could get a good fit test to complete
TLDR:
This is my first set of Anker earbuds. The Liberty 5's represent Anker's top-of-line offering for earbuds. They mostly hit the mark, good in many aspects, but not nearly as polished as premium offerings.
SET-UP / INITIAL CONFIGURATION
I have multiple devices I use to test new audio products. I'm glad I do. I often find that products and their respective apps don't always perform as well on one platform as they do on others. This is the case with the Anker Soundcore app. It is polished and pristine on my iPad, proving to be a well-designed and intuitive offering. Anyone that has had experience with any of Anker's other smart products, from chargers to battery packs, will immediately feel at home with the Soundcore app.
Same with installation on my new Pixel 10 Pro. The Soundcore app works slick and intuitively, with little to no difference in the experience from iOS to Android 16. However, the Soundcore app fails miserably on my Samsung Tab A9+. I'm not sure why, but the Soundcore app refuses to install on the tablet, even though it is running the latest Android 16 update. I'm guessing it is hardware issue, but I will say this is the first time I've ever had an app fail from one Android device to another, running the same OS.
SOUND / AUDIO QUALITY
Out of the box audio quality of the Liberty 5's is horrible. They are some of the worst sounding ear buds I've ever experienced. Even worse than some of the cheapest of the cheap wired headphones you can get at a bargain thrift store. The Liberty 5's come out of the box tuned with so much high-end treble that they actually hurt my ears.
Thankfully, Anker stepped in with their Soundcore app and offer a robust audio tuning algorithm. Playing a pre-made audio track, the Soundcore app will walk you through tailoring the sound output to your liking. Focusing on tailoring all three areas of the listening spectrum; the lows, mids, and high frequency reproduction. Like I stated above, the Liberty 5's were so bright that I almost couldn't stand using them. I'm glad I put in the effort, as the Soundcore app allowed me to roll back the top end and even out the audio spectrum to my likening. A little effort and a couple of minutes of your time brings a very rewarding experience. From a nearly unusable product to one that is nicely balanced and pleasing.
FITMENT
The Liberty 5's include tips from XXS to XXL. There seems to be a size to fit everyone. Everyone except me apparently, at least according to the fit-test. While using the app to tailor my music profile, the Soundcore app responded that I had a sufficient seal with the earbuds to adequately prevent outside distractions. However, once I completed the audio profiling, the fit-test never did complete properly. I tried literally every single pair of silicone plugs included with the Liberty 5's and every single tip said that they weren't sealing properly in my ear canal, when just minutes before the profile test reported a good product seal. Interesting.
After several hours worth of use now, I tend to believe the fitment test more that the profiling test. Regardless of silicone tip I use, I just cant seem to find one that fits right. From XXS to XXL, none of them seem to allow the Liberty 5's to fit properly. Maybe I have oddball ears or maybe it's the shape and design of the earbuds themselves, but I have yet to find a properly feeling fitment.
ANC
Anker's Active Noise Cancellation technology emphasizes voice cancellation. I have to say that the Liberty's do a good job at reducing human voices, with a marked reduction in outside distractions. However, they don't work well with human voice coming from sources like a TV. They are far less effective at cancelling artificial voices comparted to actual human speech.
BOTTOM LINE
Anker's new Liberty 5's are an attractive option at an attractive price point. After proper tuning, they are very good sounding and performing set of earbuds. Are they the best product out there? No. I can't get a proper seal in my ear canal, the touch controls feel unbelievably cheap and are hard to use, and the Soundcore app has compatibility issues. However, with some careful tuning using the Soundcore app on a supported device, the Liberty 5's excel at drowning out ambient conversations and background drone while providing very good audio quality. I find they work great in my office, muting most ambient noises, often better than many other competitors' earbuds that often struggle with errant voices, while the Dolby listening modes provide some excitement to music and movies. The Liberty 5's deserve a look.

The Soundcore Liberty 5 Advance in ear noise canceling bluetooth earbuds are a great choice if you looking for a great all around set of earbuds. The Liberty 5's are feature packed, and sound great too.
I really really enjoy the noise canceling feature. I work in a very noisy production plant with lots of people around. It's steadily 80db plus. It's even higher when lots of people are talking. The Noise canceling works amazing. I'm able to easily listen to music and podcasts at a relatively low volume and not hear them or the background noises. I'm also easily able to take phone calls and communicate without issues.
Phone calls are great thanks to the 6-mic AI feature. All the background noise seems to disappear for the person on the other end of the phone line, and they can hear me clearly, and I can easily hear them thanks to the noise canceling.
The Liberty 5's sound good out of the box, but I would highly recommend taking the sound preference test and then you can further dial in your preferences after that. The Liberty 5's have plenty on bass on tap, and the highs are there too, especially after you dial in your sound profile. The included Dolby Audio modes further enhance your listening experience.
Battery life is great. I was using these at work for over 6 hours straight, and the battery was still at 30%. I found that to be very impressive considering the amount of work the noise canceling has to be doing. The case also supports wireless charging.
The controls are easy to use and are easily customizable through the app. I've found that the default setup works good for me.
The Soundcore Liberty 5 Advance earbuds have become my favorite set of earbuds to use at work. I would highly recommend them if you are constantly in noisy locations.

I recently tried the Soundcore – by Anker Liberty 5 Advanced In-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones and I have to say I am pretty impressed. I am a Samsung woman and have never been interested in the buds that resemble airpods but these are surprisingly comfortable and stay in place securely.
First, the sound quality is outstanding. The audio is crisp and clear, with deep, punchy bass that doesn’t overpower the mids and highs. The noise cancelling feature works incredibly well too — it blocks out background noise so I can focus, even in busy places.
Calls are clear and those I'm talking to have no trouble understanding me.
The comfort level is another huge plus. The earbuds fit securely with a choice of sizes for the part that goes in your ear. They are also lightweight, so I can wear them for long periods without discomfort. They also stay in place during daily activities and I can wander pretty far from my phone without losing connection.
As an "older woman", I liked that I could test my hearing using the app. I found that my left ear is stronger than my right. If I am having trouble hearing someone, I know I need to lean my left ear in, rather than my right!
The app also allows for personalization of the equalizer. There are presets for movie, podcasts, and music modes.
Battery life is excellent. I can go through multiple days of regular use before needing to recharge, and the charging case makes it super convenient to top them off on the go. The app gives me the battery life for each pod and the case so I know when I am running low.
Overall, the Liberty 5 earbuds have strong noise cancelling, impressive sound quality, long battery life, and a comfortable fit and make them an easy recommendation for anyone looking for high-quality wireless earbuds.

I'm a fan of Anker and their line of powerbanks and chargers, but I never knew they had a line of bluetooth earbuds, so I was excited to try out their new Soundcore Liberty 5's. I'll let ya know what I thought was good and bad.
Let's start off with the Good. Like the title says, the sound quality on these are excellent, and I mean excellent. Anker really snuck up on me and brought their A game with these, as someone who's bought a lot of different brands of wireless buds (Sony, Bose, Samsung, Jabra, Jaybird, Skullcandy, Bowers & Wilkins, Sennheiser) the Liberty 5's have found themselves high up on my list of premium sounding buds. The Liberty 5's have hi-res audio and Dolby audio support along with their Adpative ANC 3.0, which I'm loving alot. Their ANC is awesome because it works great at blocking noise, but also it adjustable, something too many buds on the market don't bother doing, its either on or off, but Anker said nah let the user control it, and I like that alot. The app is easy to connect to and adjust all your audio settings, its had mine on Dolby Music with the Soundcore tailored EQ, but I did play around and try out the different options and make my own to see how it sounded and it was still an excellent sound experience. The battery life is phenomenal, 12hrs life for the buds and 48hrs with the case, so you should get roughly two full charges before needing to recharge the case, which is great for long uses. In box is a short type-c cable and a a bunch of sizing ear plugs (XXS - XL) and Medium is what will be already o the Liberty 5's when you open it up. Lastly, the Liberty 5's have an IP55 rating so they are highly dust and water resistant which makes them good for working out or just hanging out.
Now for the bad. I will admit I'm not a fan of the stem style bluetooth earbuds, they airpod style if you're unfamiliar. They feel like they're gonna fall out and in my use the left one did fall out a few times, I have swapped the ear plug to make them fit better but they don't feel as secure in my ears as other buds I haverage. The touch controls are not as intuitive as other sets I've owned. I'm used to having to do taps on the surface of the bud, the Liberty 5s require small clicks on the stem which dont always seem to register when I tried it out, it might just take me some time to get used to, if your familiar with airpods it shouldn't be an issue.
Overall the Liberty 5's are great. The sound quality is premium and the battery life is made for long uses. These are going to be my main gym/work set. I would absolutely reccomend them.

I will start off that I have been mainly a one type of earbuds person. Mainly because those are what has been best fitting for my ears. Yet I wanted to try something different see if I was missing something these other companies are offering.
Let me say this the Anker Liberty 5 offer a lot of features for the price range they are hitting. Some of them are well worth it and offer great value and some don’t work as well as you would like.
Let’s start of with the main thing sound quality, sound quality is pretty good the app allows you customize the sound and they are pretty decent at taking an EQ. They have a good amount of bass and the mods and highs are pretty clear. Is it the best sounding earbuds I have hear they are not. But they are really solid.
It’s great that they have transparency and noise canceling modes. Transparency modes is pretty decent but if it was a somewhat quiet environment I would get like a scratching sound every so often. Noise canceling mode for me was super great I did more of a job dampening sound than blocking them. And having it at highest setting tended to give me a headache.
I do love that it has multi connect capabilities it made it easy to jump from my phone to my pc, but was let down with the mic quality kept being told I sounded like I was in a tunnel.
I want to love these and I think they are a solid foundation and if you just need something to listen to than these are pretty great but the extra features like noise canceling and transparency mode still need a little more world.

The Soundcore by Anker Precision Noise Cancelling with Superior voice Reduction ear set features Dolby Audio sounds and 3d audio full integration. The sound is crisp in clear while streaming movies that I enjoy to watch and or music videos. These are different from previous earbuds that I have tried before because they have built in AI Technology. In addition, I can tell that there is high resolution with the sound and calls come in very clear. The setup was quite easy, the buds paired up quickly and were recognized by my android phone. Your able to switch between modes that include: normal, noise canceling, and transparency. I love the design of the case they come in. It's not the normal lift out the top case. To open it you slide it upward. Like that it looks fancy. The light lights up to let your know they are fully charged. Currently there are no cons to using this product and I would recommend to others. Please note it does come with a cable for you to charge the case and also have 5 ear silicone tips to select from for the comfortablity of your ear.
PROS: Sound is wonderful
CONS: None at this time.

Tried these after returning unsatisfactory similarly-priced buds from another well-known brand. Night and day difference in sound quality - these have a rich, detailed sound, including a good natural bass response that doesn't overpower the sound. Excellent overall.
Equalization, sound personalization and bud stem control options can be customized through the handy Soundcore app.
Noise canceling is very good, tested on a plane journey. Transparency mode is useful for when you want to hear the outside world.
The fit is excellent, being small enough to not feel intrusive. With six rubber ear-tip sizes provided, you should find a perfect fit for your ear canal. Also noteworthy is the pocket-friendly charging case with a sliding lid that won't pop open accidentally, unlike some magnetic closure designs.
Bluetooth connectivity works very well. It was a breeze to pair them with an Android phone and a tablet, both of which can connect simultaneously. They maintain a good connection even when wandering around the house, away from the phone/tablet.
Play time is plenty long enough - it's rated at 8 hours with ANC on, and up to 32 with the charging case. USB-C and wireless are convenient charging choices.
Give these a try - they're an excellent choice at this price point.

If you’ve ever gone down the rabbit hole of trying to find the “perfect” pair of earbuds, you know how frustrating it can be. You either end up paying way too much or settling for something that sounds… fine. That’s why the Liberty 5 from Soundcore by Anker caught me off guard - in the best way. These earbuds deliver the kind of sound and features you’d expect from a premium brand, but without the premium price tag. Honestly, they’ve become the standard I compare everything else to.
Comfort and Design: Surprisingly Thoughtful
The first thing that stood out to me was the fit. Anker includes multiple ear tip sizes, and it actually makes a difference. It’s easy to get a snug, comfortable seal without that annoying pressure or “red ear” feeling some earbuds cause. They’re lightweight, shaped well, and stay put whether you’re working, commuting, or sweating through a workout.
They also look great - sleek, modern, and subtle. Nothing flashy, just a clean design that feels more expensive than it is. You can use the buttons on the "stems" of the earbuds to control the playback/phone calls which is standard by now.
Sound Quality: Genuinely Impressive
This is where the Liberty 5 really shines. The Dolby Audio support gives the soundstage depth and clarity you don’t usually get at this price. Even without tweaking anything, the audio is rich, balanced, and surprisingly detailed. If you *do* want to customize things, the app gives you EQ presets and the option to build your own profile.
The ANC 30 noise cancelling is another standout. It blocks out background noise without that weird muffled or “underwater” effect some cheaper ANC earbuds have. Whether you’re drowning out office chatter or city noise, the sound stays clean and natural.
Battery Life and Charging: Built for Real Life
Battery life is excellent. Depending on whether you use ANC, you’ll get anywhere from 12 to 24 hours of playback. The charging case is compact, easy to carry, and has a soft LED indicator so you always know how much juice you have left. The USB-A to USB-C cable is a nice touch - no proprietary nonsense.
Everything about the charging experience feels simple and well thought out.
Call Quality: Better Than Expected
A lot of earbuds sound great for music but fall apart when it comes to calls. Not these. The Liberty 5 handles voice clarity extremely well. Background noise gets filtered out cleanly, and your voice comes through crisp and natural. For the price, the microphone performance is honestly impressive.
Overall Value: A No-Brainer
When you look at the full package - Dolby Audio, solid ANC, great comfort, long battery life, and surprisingly good call quality- it’s hard not to see the Liberty 5 as a standout value. Anker clearly put effort into the entire user experience, from the fit to the sound to the accessories.
These earbuds feel like a step toward making high-quality audio accessible to everyone, not just people willing to drop a few hundred dollars. If you’ve been hesitant to buy wireless earbuds because of cost or quality concerns, the Liberty 5 removes both barriers.
They punch way above their price and genuinely redefine what “affordable” earbuds can deliver.

Got these to replace another pair of earbuds I have used for some years and have been very impressed with these so far as one of my first pairs of Soundcore earbuds. The box came with a very nice charging and carrying case for the buds along with a wide range of different size silicon buds to fit a variety of ear canal sizes.
So far they have had great battery life and anytime I place them back in the case they are charging and after a week or so of using them on and off the case still has 90% battery life and the buds themselves only use up 10%-20% after a few hours of using them to listen to music while working. I also haven't experienced any real discomfort wearing them for long periods of time but if you don't wear earbuds a lot it will take some getting used to them.
The app you can download also had a lot of functions to tweak the sound and EQ settings. There was also an option to auto tune your listening preferences based on how you prefer to hear music and for me it worked pretty well and the music sounds good the way I enjoy it and I even selected to have deeper bass.
Pros
- Great sound quality
- App has lots of tweaks and functionality
- Great battery life
Cons
- If you don't wear earbuds a lot you might experience a little discomfort at first
- The touch controls are a bit different and will take some getting used to
Overall these earbuds produce great audio combined with long battery life and an app that has lots of customization features making them one of my favorite pairs of earbuds now.

Great earbuds but not a fan of the pinch controls

The Soundcore Liberty 5 earbuds are good but not great. Why not great? The touch controls are just annoying to put it mildly. Sound quality, battery life/quality, charge time, app control for tuning, noise cancelling/transparency, and the fact it has wireless charging capabilities along with USB-C option are all my likes. My one and only dislike with these earbuds would be the pinch controls. I find it very awkward having to find the exact spot to pinch to use the controls given on the stem of the earbud. The controls available by pinch include answering calls, skipping music, activating the transparency noise option etc…it’s all just with multiple attempts to pinch the right area (at least from me and my husband) to activate whatever you are trying to accomplish. You get to change what 1 pinch, 2 pinches or 3 pinches do via the use of the Soundcore app. Whether it'll be to answer calls, mute or pause something or skip music.
I will say the sound quality is fantastic! It has just the right amount of bass and words/lyrics are nice and crisp. I listen to podcasts while at work and will typically have one earbud in all day. I will say the battery life has been awesome. I’ve been able to keep my bud in for a full 8 hour shift with podcasts, audio books or music playing as well as receiving calls on it with zero battery warnings.
Overall, the case most definitely feels a little fragile with the slide up door. But the earbuds click right in via a magnet and seem to be pretty secure even if the door were to slide open in your purse or pocket.
For the price point, I would recommend them. I just wish they would have a tap option on the earbud vs the pinch method. If you have large hands or have fingernails, you may find yourself pulling your earbud out of your ear when trying to answer calls or change music. Other than that, these earbuds are fantastic as I figure anything made by Anker will be!

ANC is great 9.5/10. Call & music quality is great 9.4/10. Allows for great customization on audio settings, I prefer more bass heavy and they did a great job! Touch controls really set this apart from the rest as you have so many options to customize touch control and app is great. So many customization that make these stand out to your preference . I currently own Bose QC gen 2 buds, Sony XM5, Apple Pro buds 3. For half of the price, these buds are definitely worth it. Battery is great, case can also be wirelessly charged. The buds are comparable and definitely up to par to compete with big brand names. 10/10 recommended.

Good set of earbuds and budget friendly. Easy to use and good connection. Not great as some issues to come up. One is from a time videos do lag and audio gets dubbed where audio and video look like a bad foreign to English lip reading become laughable. Another -which could just be my own personal opinion- the case has no identifying mark maiking me spin the case until it opens and makes it a chore. Other than that audio is great and noise canceling is awesome!

Freat sound! Impressive quality and sleek design. I wish the sliding lid was more sturdy. The noise cancelling doesn’t compare to apple airpods but still good tech. Great for phone calls too!
