I really like this speaker, wish it was just a little louder

The Soundcore Select Pro is an awesome speaker with great sound quality and durability. Pairing it to my phone, tablet and a Chromebook have been very easy, and controlling it through the Android app on my phone has likewise been a simple procedure. Aside from the great sound with lots of bass, my favorite features about the Soundcore Select Pro are the huge battery and the waterproof capability. The battery life on this thing is incredible, With the incredible weather this month my family have spent a lot of time enjoying our back yard and neighborhood playground, and the Soundcore Select Pro has been used extensively without needing to constantly be charged. Better still, the speaker has an iQ power port to keep a phone or tablet topped up while you're playing music. We have not tested the waterproof ability in a total submersion environment as we don't have a pool, but the capability has allowed us to keep it jamming out while our twins have water gun fights and splash water everywhere. The RGB lighting is a cool additional feature that adds some fun to the speaker's sounds. The Select Pro is pretty durable too - one of our twins dropped it on the sidewalk walking back from the playground and aside from some scratches it suffered no major damage. There really aren't any downsides to the Select Pro. As long as you're looking for a larger "boom box" style speaker this one fits the bill.

The Anker Soundcore Select Pro Bluetooth Speaker is a very nice little speaker. It provides quite decent sound even at a rather loud volume. I tend not to turn the volume up too high so as not to bother my neighbors. The Bluetooth connection was almost automatic. It immediately paired with my iPhone. I put on a playlist and moved through some tunes. Some needed a bit more bass, so I switched on the BassUp feature. That is helpful. With the Soundcore app, it is even easier to individualize the sound with the equalizer - use a preset one that is to your liking or create a custom sound of your own. With this app, you can also control the flashing light patterns coming from the 2 circular lights. You can have a light show with a few different set patterns or turn that feature off altogether. The app adds a few other controls including the volume and it can power the speaker on/off. And this speaker can go in water - it floats and is IPX7 rated (waterproof!). Lightweight, waterproof, very good sound. What’s not to like? I would definitely recommend the Anker Soundcore Select Pro Bluetooth Speaker.

This is a cute speaker but not good sound quality, doesn’t go loud and doesn’t have much bass. I think it would be a great gift for a 10 or younger child. I gave it to my almost 13 year old for Christmas and will have to get him another one as this just isn’t loud

We bought this boombox we wanted something out by the pool and hot tub and it was on sale. The description and some reviews described how well it handled the bass part of the sound. Well... it leaves a lot to be desired. It is very well made and has pretty good battery life. If flashing lights are your thing - look no further. But if you want great sound, pass this one by. It's headed to our eBay store...

Good quality and build but sound not very clear when loud

I'm picky about speakers, and the Anker Soundcore Select Pro Bluetooth Speaker is a nice little speaker. My wife had been looking for a good waterproof speaker, so I was happy to come across this one by Anker. I've used other Anker Soundcore products recently. As a general rule, they are quite good - especially for the price. This speaker borrows several party tricks I first saw with more high-end speakers a few years ago. Namely, you can daisy chain a number of them together with Bluetooth, and they will sync and play music from multiple devices. That's great for a party or big activity. Anker calls this Partycast, and it's accessible via the app. The second trick is that you can have pulsating lights to the beat of the music. You can also tailor this to your liking. Note, as you might expect, the flashing lights do drain the batter a bit more quickly. However, this speaker also has terrific battery life and will last for days of play. And, of course, it's pretty water-proof. The IPX7 rating means it can be fully submerged in a meter of water up to 30 minutes. It also floats, so it is very useful around water - whether you're at the pool, hot tub, beach, or even just your shower. And the speakers are strong enough and clear enough for good sound. Of course, you can tweak it to be a little more to your personal tastes with the Soundcore App, which is easy to use. The sound quality is not life-changing, but it is quite good compared to other portable waterproof speakers. I recommend the BassUp setting because it rounds the sound out a bit more fully. You may or may not like the handle. I like it because it makes it easy to grab and carry and is large enough for a solid grip. All-in-all, this speaker is a winner. It looks good, sounds good, and works great.

I purchased as gift for the wife to use at the beach and pool. The wife loves it and uses it every sunny weekend! A year later I decided to give it a listen, as a pro sound engineer and a long time Audiophile I'm blown away! This thing sounds VERY GOOD! Has a very natural sound seldom seen in inexpensive audio products. The sound is natural as the human vice sounds real, a snare drum sounds like a snare drum and guitar sounds natural. Had great low end but understand this is not party size boom, its more low to mid volume applications but its the best sound ( as in most natural and good full frequency sound from anything this small size. I have had great luck with Soundcore ( Anker) headphone. Need something small and portable with nice sound, this is it!

The Soundcore Select Pro is a great sounding portable speaker with a lightshow to boot! Charging is simple with the supplied USB C cable, and pairing with your phones bluetooth is also seamless. Download the Soundcore App from the Apple App store or Google Play. From the app you can manage EQ settings, using one of the included presets or customize your own, I chose to use the custom EQ settings to adjust the sound to my liking. From the app you can also customize the light show settings, check the battery level, adjust the volume and also perform any firmware updates as they come available. And not only is the Soundcore Select Pro waterproof...but it floats! Music reproduction is fantastic with the BassUp technology and the extended treble functionality. Battery life is up to 16hrs between charges so you will get a full day of entertainment at the beach or pool this summer without having to sorry about battery life. The Soundcore Select Pro is the perfect companion for outdoor fun in the sun!

Piece of junk. Don't waste your 100.00 on this trash. It worked for a few days. Now the warranty period is over and I cannot reach a human being online - just the insane Chat robot. 100.00 for bookend.

The Anker - Soundcore Select Pro is a great speaker. The bass hits hard for its size and overall sound quality is excellent. Battery life is also amazing! The Soundcore app works very well and is polished. You can configure settings, change RGB or set the EQ the way you want. Overall, you get great features and a portable size that still delivers great sound. If you are looking for a Bluetooth speaker that sounds great and has excellent battery life then pick this one up!

We had a barbeque over the memorial day weekends and decided to try the Anker Soundcore Select Pro Bluetooth Speaker out. I have to say that I was definitely surprised at the sound quality of the Anker Soundcore speaker. The audio is clear and the bass sound is perfect! I have a Sony XB90 and can confidently say that the sound quality from the Anker speaker is better in terms of clarity. The Anker - Soundcore Select Pro Bluetooth Speaker is all that we needed for the party, which is incredible for such a small speaker. Another great thing about the Anker - Soundcore Select Pro Bluetooth Speaker is that it is waterproof. We had this portable speaker next to the pool where the kids were playing and there was a lot of water splashing going on. Lots of that water ended up on the speaker and the speaker kept playin with no issues. Overall, I am very happy with the Anker - Soundcore Select Pro Bluetooth Speaker and highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a portable speaker.

The Anker Soundcore Select Pro is a surprisingly capable outdoor-proof bluetooth speaker which combines a good design, cheeky lighting effect, and is pretty nice for the size and price. The construction is decent - not the toughest out there and nothing fancy, but from the couple of weeks of mixed indoor and outdoor use, it has been holding up well. The fact that it charges via a USB-C port, and on the other hand can charge other devices via the PowerIQ USB-A port, is something I found very very useful especially on the go. It is rated with IPX7 and additionally is floatable, so this is a perfect speaker for camping or other activities, and even in the pool. The built-in handle is something that I have dearly missed in my previous bluetooth speakers I have been using, so good job Anker! The speaker can be customized a bit via the Soundcore app - the app is pretty basic and helped me change the lighting effect and the EQ settings, but nothing much. I saw that this can be synced with other Soundcore speakers via the “Party Cast'' feature, and I think there the app will be more useful. Sadly, in the absence of another set, I was not able to test that out. From my usage, I was able to get close to 14/15 hours of playtime - I did not have to charge for a whole week with using the speaker listening to podcasts and Spotify music throughout the day while working from home. As for the sound, the bass is good and tight, and can be enhanced via the BassUp button, but the result was a mixed bag - some genres sounded quite good, while sometimes it felt a bit overwhelming. Luckily the BassUp button is located conveniently to alter my choice. The only caveat is sometimes it feels like the volume is not the loudest out there - but for my daily use this was a minor issue. Overall this is a pretty good package in terms of design and capability, and certainly a good way to enjoy music outdoors.

Anker continues to impress. This speaker is not too heavy, has a nice handle for carrying around and is well made. It paired easily to my phone and I was up and running in no time. The sound is impressive. Very loud with clear tones and strong, adjustable bass. There are various settings and colors for the lights while playing music which adds to it’s appeal. It looks good sitting on a table, lounge chair or wherever. The fact that it is waterproof is a huge plus as this will be going to the beach with us on vacation. The SoundCore app is a good compliment and gives you some added features such as being able to control the lights, adjust your sound settings to what you like best, link to other speakers, link other speakers and set a sleep timer with ambient sounds. All in all, an excellent speaker!

The Anker Soundcore Select is an awesome product. Such big sound out of such a small package. Not as good as a $250 "B" brand, but...sounds really good! Pairs Incredibly easy with Iphone. I highly recommend using the bass boost as it dramatically improves the overall sound. This is the first speaker that we've seen that can actually go "in" the water AND FLOAT! Convenient handle makes it easy to carry around and has a great range (from phone to speaker). Also has LED lights that sync with the music for a real cool experience. Download the Soundcore app to easily control the volume, EQ settings and the lights. Speaker also has the ability to pair multiple speakers (party-cast) to one source to create a multi-speaker experience. Overall, a great little speaker that packs alot of sound.

Battery doesnt last 6 hrs it works well but not loud enough and battery issue

I was not expecting this speaker to pump out as much bass as it does. Especially at this price point. It's impressive. It has a good sound to it right out of the box, but a few tweaks to the custom EQ lets you really dial in a great sound. I have found if you turn off the "BASS" boost and just pump up the bass a little bit in the EQ you still get a good bass thump, but it's cleaner/tighter, not so boomy. At least to my ears. I listen to mostly rock/metal music, and this speaker sounds really good. There are only 4 presets for the RGB lights and you can not customize them. Not really a big deal for me because I always shut them off. Likes: 1.) Impressive sound and bass at this price point 2.) USB-C charging 3.) Easy to use app Dislikes: 1.) Limited RGB options

Kinda incredible that you can use this little speaker and forget that you ever need to charge it. Not sure exactly how many hours it has taken me before charging it for the first time but it’s over 20 for sure. It’s light, very good sound, water proof and has a cool handle so you don’t drop it. Perfect gift for those that love the outdoors. Took it to Tennessee with me and was great and very relaxing listening to this little beauty by beautiful nature. Can’t think of any negatives really it connects to Bluetooth without a hitch and sounds nice and crisp.
