SoundCore created an incredibly comfortable set of earbuds that are small and very nonintrusive while trying to sleep. The package includes several different earpiece sizes and I was able to quickly achieve the perfect fit that stays put without any discomfort. I can hardly tell that I am wearing them. It is important to note that these earbuds do not have a microphone. They are intended for sound only and they sound really good. The sound, in my opinion, is more treble oriented than bass oriented. They are very capable of handling any music genre. The setup was fairly straight forward and paired easily with my mobile device. I had to first set up the Bluetooth connection before the Soundcore application was able to detect the earbuds. The set comes with a very nice and compact storage case where the fit nicely and recharge while in the case. There are two modes available once connected. The music mode passes sound directly from the mobile device and works well with music services. I use this mode during the daytime while working. The real beauty of these earbuds is the sleep mode, whereas it only plays sounds offered through the application. There are several peaceful sound offerings that put ones mind at ease, allowing me to fade back to sleep. It reminds me of camping in the outdoors with nature sounds. The sounds are actually uploaded to the earbuds in this mode, which allows for longer battery life. I frequently wake up in the middle of the night and have difficulty falling back to sleep. Wearing these earbuds with the nature sounds usually has me slipping back to sleep in a matter of a few minutes. It also serves to keep external sounds out, so I can stay asleep.

Almost perfect but I can overlook the minor issues

I've tried a couple of sleep aid devices with varied results. I have been using sleep buds from a higher end audio device manufacturer and they work great but they are uncomfortable and usually fall out during the night. I had previously tried another brand with issues of pairing and battery life but they were comfortable. So, I'm still in search of the perfect sleep buds. The Soundcore Sleep A10s are soooo close to being perfect. They are extremely comfortable and with the provided wings and eargels you can dial in the perfect fit. Pairing was extremely easy with no issues. The Soundcore app steps you through the process and I was connected without an issue. The app is a bit cluncky, I mean it works great but to me it's not highly intuitive. They have a bunch of canned sounds in the app that can be uploaded to the A10's. They have them sorted as relax, focus, sleep, misc. You can stream the sound from the app and upload your favorite of those to the A10. The only issue I have with these is you can only have one sound at a time on the device. So, if you want to change favorites it takes about 40 seconds to upload and you can only have one on the device. To me that's a big clunky... but you can stream your music or any sounds you may have through any of the music services. I've got a handful of sounds and music for tinitus masking and meditation music to help sleep but sometimes just plain white noise is all I need to drop off. If you prefer the sound of rain, a flowing stream, noises of the forest, crickets, etc the canned sounds are more than adequate. It would be great if you could use these solo without a smartphone, at least when you have loaded your favorite sound. Otherwise comfort and basic needs are more than enough to drive someone to these instead of the much higher priced alternatives.

For years I have tried to sleep listening to earbuds but rolling over on one quickly results in the earbuds being removed. I have never tried earbuds that were designed for sleep before these. I toss and turn and am primarily a side sleeper. These earbuds fit inside my ear more than others that I have tried at night and are much more comfortable when I roll over on one. While I can't say that I haven't found a few positions that laying on an earbud wasn't uncomfortable, I can say that it ls far less often and much less of a shock than with others I have tried in the past. These earbuds, with their low profile and twist lock system, stay in my ears much better than any earbuds I have used in the past. In a week of use I have only had one fall out in my sleep twice. These earbuds come with a nice charging case and require an app for use. The setup is quick and simple. The app has a library of sounds divided into categories such as focus, rest, sleep and relax. I love dozing off to the various water sounds in the library. These earbuds are not technically noise cancelling but have a switch that when activated will increase the volume of whatever you are listening to in response to external noise. This function works quite well to mask the snoring sounds that have regularly disturbed my sleep. If you want to listen to your own music, just play it on your device and listen. I've used these for a week and found that the white noise sounds seem to help me doze off faster than normal and the smart sleep function really helps keep me from being disturbed by snoring sounds during the night. I can't wait to see how these do in hotels on my upcoming road trips.

    Most Comfortable Sleep Buds

The Anker Soundcore Sleep A10 earbuds are great at blocking sound, have some useful features, and are by far the most comfortable sleep buds I’ve tried. The package feels very premium, with many selections of ear tips and wings to be sure you can get the right fit. This is important as with the correct fit the sound blocking is excellent. The app does have a variety of sounds to choose from and you can also use “Music Mode” to listen to any app (podcasts, music, etc). There is also sleep tracking in the app. It seems to work well. I like the design of the case, sliding open instead of flipping up. Battery life has been good and the case can charge them up to 7 times. I’ve been using these during the day too. They have a really good sound and are very comfortable. The most important thing for me, though, is that these are so comfortable to wear when sleeping. Sleeping on my side and these are the only earbuds I’ve tried that are not painful. I’ve tried several others, and some start off comfortable but are painful later in the night. These have been comfortable to wear all night. If you have trouble sleeping and/or want to mask out noises I would definitely recommend that you try these for the comfort alone.

    These Help Me Fall Asleep

I sometimes have problems falling asleep at night, especially when the wife wants to watch TV in bed. So I’ve been using a series of soft sleep masks with built in headphones. But I’ve not been happy with that solution because I just need some “white noise” to counteract the sound coming from the TV. So I picked up a pair of these and couldn’t be happier with the purchase. After determining the correct fit for the ear plugs, I was able to quickly and easily connect them to their app downloaded to my iPhone and select from a variety of white noise choices. I prefer falling asleep to the sound of water and the app offers various versions of this white noise from a quiet stream to waves crashing on the beach. The earplugs fit snugly and stay in my ears through the night even though I tend to shift my sleeping position multiple times, from my back to my side and back again. I love the charging unit that comes with these plugs which also makes it very convenient for travel. I recently took them on a trip to Vegas where I stayed in a hotel with walls that were way too thin, and these units definitely blocked out all of the noise.

The earbuds are comfortable in the ear and stay in well during the night. I move around a lot and no issues with them falling out. However, I find the earbuds die within 6 hours. It doesn’t last long at all which is disappointing. One seems to die before the other. I want to say the left ear but I’m not sure. Either way, I’m the middle of the night they’re dead. So far I don’t know if they drown out snoring as I haven’t tested that yet. It app is ok nothing amazing.

I want to love these but just can’t give 5 stars. They are comfortable to sleep with but they just aren’t reliable. I find that one earbud seems to always fail to charge even though it appears to be placed perfectly in charger with light flashing. The app also needs work and the earbuds tend to just loose connection frequently

Thanks for sharing your experience. I would like to present our deepest apologies for all the inconvenience.

To fix the issue you mentioned, we kindly ask you to try the following tips:

      - Ensure all charging contact pins on the earbuds and charging case is completely clean and dry of sweat and water. You can also use cleaning alcohol for cleaning the contacts. Use a dry cloth to ensure the parts are clean and dry afterward before using.
      - Make sure the earbuds are properly placed in the case and make sure the ear tips/wings are in the right position, sometimes the ear tips/wings may interfere with the connection between the earbuds and the charging case.
      - Reset the earbuds: Place the earbuds in the charging case and leave the case open. Press and hold the button on the charging case for 10 seconds until the LED indicators inside the case flash white 3 times and then flash in sequence. This confirms that the reset was successful and your earbuds can be connected normally.

I have documented your information and would forward it to our product team for further improvement. You know, a perfect product requires several improvements per the customer's voice and we always strive to improve our products. Appreciate your voice on this!

    Earbuds help block snoring sounds

These work well to block out external sounds. My wife SNORES LOADLY! Like to the point that I have difficulty sleeping. I suffer from Misophonia and snoring drives me NUTS like really NUTS! These Earbuds are the best thing that I have found to help with this. But, NOW, I can hear myself VERY clearly. Like, I can hear the joins in my neck clicking and I can hear my own heartbeat, breathing, etc. Fortunately, Misophonia is a condition that makes the noises from OTHER people VERY annoying and noises generated by YOU not so much! Overall, these are nearly perfect - A little longer battery life would be better.

Due to a variety of factors, sleepbuds are a necessity for me. I've used the Bose I and Bose II sleepbuds, which worked fine but eventually died. After one night, I'm happy with Sleep A10s. I used them in sleep mode and had no issues, slept a little over 8 hours and they still had some battery left (difficult to tell as the battery meter is bars not a percentage). Comfort was fine, equivalent or perhaps better than Bose (time will tell). The only feature that seems to be lacking is the ability to set the alarm to specific days; it's either on or off.

Set up easily but that's about as good as it gets. The first thing I noticed was the right bud was lower in volume than the left (which obviously doesn't help mask noise). Next the right bud turns off before the left and both only last 6 hours or less. One week in and it's already an epic fail but I persevered then after a week it stops tracking my sleep for no reason. I reached out to support and they were prompt but their solutions (resetting the buds, etc., did nothing to fix the problems. Great service will never compensate for a bad product.

I have issues sleeping when there's a lot of noise around. My schedule is not very normal so I find myself trying to sleep at strange times when there's probably going to be other things happening in the house. My solution has just been a cheapish jar of ear plugs that lasts me quite a while. They work pretty good at blocking out most of the noise in the house and I only experience some slight discomfort at times but nothing major that removing and replacing them doesn't usually resolve. It's a low tech solution and I've been thinking of finding some way to play music or noise that won't disturb the wife when she's sleeping at the same time as me and I was excited to try these out. My experience was pretty lack-luster. Setup was easy enough. Just pair them with your phone, download the app, firmware update and they were ready to go. The case came with about half a charge and both earbuds were fully charged. Comfort is pretty good as well. They're easy to put in and I like how they go in. Align the little handles straight up and then twist them towards the back of your ear and they kind of "lock" in place. It's not full proof. Sometimes it takes a couple tries but for the most part they go in fine. They're also somewhat comfortable. I had a really slight discomfort like they were pushing against the side of my ear canal too much the first night I used them but that was really brief and didn't happen any of the other nights I used them. I'm a side-sleeper and I was able to sleep with these in my ears for my whole sleep and they really didn't feel bad. The only complaint is the seal and pressure they make in your ear gives you that floating in space sound whenever you breath or cough. You just hear any noise your head makes amplified in your ears. I wasn't a huge fan as the ear plugs I use don't give me this feel at all. The app and overall usage of these are where things start to fall flat. I wouldn't even say the app is terrible. I've seen much worse for connected products before. But the overall flow is just not that great. You need to load a sound (which takes about a minute) onto the earbuds for your "sleep mode" sound. So it takes time if you feel like listening to a different sound in your ear non-stop during your sleep. I'm a fan of rain sounds and the rain and thunderstorm sounds were.. fine. They were nothing to write home about but they were ok. The issue is just listening to the same short clip over and over in my ear. And that's when they were working. More than a couple times, one bud would just disconnect and I'd either need to open the case again to reconnect it or take it out and put it back in. Sometimes even that wouldn't work and I'd have to place them back in the case to get them to work again. There's also sleep tracking in the app which I was pretty excited about because I'm a fan of statistics and used to track my sleep all the time. I figured if I was going to wear these every night for sleep, that would be a perfect opportunity to start tracking again if they just did it for free. But, like the other functions, it just seems to work sporadically and inconsistently. I don't think it recorded a single full sleep. The first time, the right ear bud just stopped working when I got up to go to the bathroom and then sleep tracking decided that was enough. It just seemed very inconsistent and sort of tacked on. You can't even view your sleep tracking information without connecting the earbuds to the app again which proved immediately annoying and I have no idea how that got through any sort of quality control without someone mentioning it. Just every bit of the app flow feels like no one actually used these for sleep and just made them comfortable enough to sleep with but only tested them as regular headphones. Luckily, you don't NEED to use the app. You lose some features like the "smart volume control" but I didn't really like that feature anyways. It's supposed to adjust the volume after it detects that you fell asleep to adapt to the noise level. I guess if it works while I'm asleep, there's a chance I never noticed it actually working but I feel like I can recall the sound in the headphones just completely changing at some point. If you don't use the app except to upload a new sound onto the headphones, then you can just double tap the left ear to switch between sleep and music modes and double tap the right ear to play/pause. Easy enough. Music more works just like a normal pair of bluetooth headphones which is probably what I'll use these for if I want to listen to a podcast as I fall asleep or something. The biggest problem I have with these are just that they don't do a fantastic job of eliminating external noise for my needs. They don't have any sort of active noise canceling (which is baffling to me but I suppose there are probably challenges in fitting the ANC stuff in such a small earbud) so they only work with the seal to your ear and by producing sound to distract you from the noise around you. The seal is pretty good (floating in space feel in your head and all) but it just doesn't cut down on the noise around you. The sound the earbuds produce is a pretty nice distraction but without an effort to focus on it, I can still hear things like my wife snoring or the kids on the other side of the house during the day. They basically function as just a pair of headphones you can wear while you sleep but I don't think they should be marketed as a way to help you fall asleep faster or as "noise blocking". Audio quality in the earbuds is fine. You're sleeping with them so I'm not trying to be blown away. Quite the opposite. So the audio quality is what I'd want out of a pair of these. Like I said, I'll probably continue to use these as a pair of headphones I can wear as I'm falling asleep sometimes when I don't have to worry about a lot of extra noise because they ARE comfortable to wear even as a side sleeper. But for any of my day time sleeps or when I have to block out snores or other noise around me, it's back to the ear plugs. Bottom line, an inconsistent and clunky app experience with these make them hard to justify for their price. If you're just looking for a pair of headphones to wear while you sleep, these might work fine for you. I haven't done enough research on other pairs to know if these are worth the price just for that though. If you're looking for a real sleep aid, I would look elsewhere unless you're fine with just a simple short looping sound in your ear all night. Comfortable with a decent sound but that's where the features end. There's not much in the way of sleep features in my eyes here.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I would like to present our deepest apologies for all the inconvenience.
Please know that these earbuds do not support active noise canceling. If the adaptive noise masking effect isn't up to scratch, try a different size of ear wings and ear tips. Also, try to make sure you're wearing them correctly.
Also, if the earphones are too deep into the ear, it affects the Bluetooth performance. Normally, replace the ear tips or ear wings with a larger size to reduce the in-ear depth of the ear wings and indirectly improve the RF performance.
To fix this issue, try the following:
      1. Fully charge and reset your earbuds as stated below and repair them.
Place the earbuds in the charging case and leave the case open. Press and hold the button on the charging case for 10 seconds until the LED indicators on the case flash white 3 times and then flash in sequence. This confirms that the reset was successful and your earbuds can be connected normally.
      2. Make sure you're wearing the earbuds correctly(check the HOW TO WEAR card in your package).
      3. Try another set of ear tips and ear wings in a different size.
      4. Check the earbuds by listening to a downloaded song/video if you're using them in music mode.
      5. Check the earbuds with another Bluetooth device in a different environment to see if there's a difference.

If the suggested troubleshooting doesn't help, please reach out to us via service@soundcore.com or call us at +1 (800) 988 7973. We are more than happy to assist you further.

    Pulsatile tinnitus...

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I suffer from severe pulsatile tinnitus, at 38 I was sleeping maybe 3 hours a night and sporadically for a decade. Doctors have basically written me off and I've learned to cope with it during the day but night is always hard. It's basically like having a stethoscope in your ears at all times pointed at your heart. Not only is it loud but its anxiety inducing as it's like listening to your own mortality. The only way to ease it is to drown out the sound, nothing else works for me. I had been using one of those headbands with headphones built in, it helped me fall asleep but it didn't stay put at night and you couldn't wash it (gross). These are straight magic for me. I have no idea if others review of the app is true because I don't care. I can comfortably wear these all night, and for the first time in as long as I can remember I've been having lucid dreams. I usually fall asleep to a familiar show and then listen to ASMR throughout night, or some type of woo-woo meditation music. I know this isn't the healthiest, but if you know, you know. These lasted all night (about 7 hours for me). At some point I switched from my YouTube night playlist to the built in sounds, and they were great. They do a pretty decent job blocking sharp sounds like snoring and my HVAC unit kicking on. While I didn't stay asleep all night, and don't think I will ever accomplish that, I'm getting the most restful sleep I've ever gotten in my adult life. I also have very small ears. During the day I switch off between my pixel buds and Bose and both make my ears ache after about an hour of wear. These little magic sleep buds are very tiny and very comfortable, no ear aches to report at all. I was a little worried they'd fall out at night but I've had zero issues and they provide several tips/wings to try out. I will likely buy a second pair, just to have. These have been the only sound solution to work for me and they've given me some quality of life back. I cannot recommend them enough if you're suffering from something similar.

These sleep earbuds are excelent. Very good sound and bass. I use them in the gym and sleep. They are very small and its amazing the sound quality from such a small earbud. You wont find any better sleep buds at this price. Also hardly notice that they are in my ears during sleep or play. Yes they have no Mic, but I dont want to answer the phone anyway during the times I use them. No connectivity issues.

These Sleep A10 earbuds were my first experience with sleep earbuds at all, but I've based my comparison on both my experience with them at night, as well as my expectations of a music listening device. I was able to effortlessly pair the buds with my iPhone and the app worked well. The buds offer both a silence mode, some "soothing sounds" as well as the ability to play music or other Bluetooth audio while you fall asleep. My first observation were just how SMALL these buds are! I was worried when getting these that putting a bulky headphone-like object in my ears at night would be bothersome - I was less worried when I saw just how small these buds were. Not only are they small, but they include just about EVERY ear hook and gel combination available on the market to allow for a comfortable all-night fit. I started my first night just putting them in and turning on their noise masking ability - These earbuds don't use traditional ANC, but instead emit soft tones that mask ambient noise, adding to a "white noise" effect that wasn't uncomfortable to sleep to. In subsequent nights, I found myself playing with the included relaxing sounds, including rainfall. I found that in my quiet suburban house, middle volume allowed this to work pretty well. When testing music audio sources I found the sound quality to be OK but not as good as other Bluetooth headphones even from Ankers own lineup. This might be due to the fact that even in Music mode, some of the counter tones from the noise masking seem to be in effect. This doesnt mean the sound quality is bad, just not up to Bose/Apple spec. I tried the in-ear alarm once, which allows me to wake early for my overseas conference calls without disturbing my wife with the 5AM alarm, which worked well enough, and wasn't a jarring but a more gentle wake experience. I fiddled with the sleep tracking experience but only tested for a few days before reviewing so I will follow up with more on the accuracy of this capability in an updated review later. In all these are an interesting, and intuitive solution to noise, relaxation, sleep tracking and quiet waking features all in a very nice small package.

    A Very Comfortable Sleep

I listen to audio programs as a way to focus my mind on one thing as I fall asleep. Usually I have a small bluetooth speaker under a foam pillow, but this often doesn't work well when I travel. The problem is that I find sleeping in earbuds (and even ear plugs) generally uncomfortable. But not these Soundcores. They're small and don't stick out of my ears. I can actually sleep on my side and fall asleep with these earbuds in - and wake up in the morning with no discomfort! Part of the reason this works is because their general shape is flatter than most earbuds. PLUS, there are quite a few customizations provided for the in-ear cushion and the ship of your ear ridge. These are not Ambient Noise Cancelling buds, but instead Noise Masking. With the correct fit, they work just like earplugs. Setting them up is pretty basic, like any other bluetooth headphone, however I have to ding these units for two main annoyances: No wireless charging. They will generally stay bedside and not be used constantly. The case isn't huge, but it's not really small either; so why not add that? My biggest annoyance is the "Soundcore" companion app. So far the app works OK - although I only use it on an iPad and it's scaled for a phone, but it requires an account. Why? I couldn't really understand what the app offers that necessitates setting up an account...other than marketing. There should be no reason to require someone to create an account to a companion app just so he or she can configure a few preferences. But other than that big annoyance, I really do like the earbuds, themselves. They work and feel great!

So glad you love the product! Thank you for your support. We promise to continue striving to exceed your expectations!
Here are the tips for your reference:
1- soundcore Sleep A10 does not support active noise canceling. If the Smart Volume Control effect isn't up to scratch, try a different size of ear wings and ear tips. Also, try to make sure you're wearing them correctly(check the HOW TO WEAR card in your package).
2- Regular use of the app does not require registration, but if you need to enable the sleep detection function, you must register and log in to the app to record sleep data.
3- This model does not support wireless charging at the moment, thank you for your suggestion.

Battery Life is a Deal Breaker

I feel so conflicted about these but decided to return them. I loved the fit. They stayed in all night, no falling out. The problem is the battery life is terrible. They only last about 3 hours even when using Smart Switch. I hope they improve the battery on these.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I would like to present our deepest apologies for all the inconvenience.

The logic of the Sleep A10 you purchased is to automatically pause the music after the smart switch.
We have noticed some user feedback, which has been adjusted to continue to play after the smart switch. Please upgrade your APP and firmware to experience the latest features.
We will continue to improve the APP and product, and will soon add custom buttons.

Not Worth it for Sleep Mode

Disclaimer - I bought these for the Sleep Mode functions only, so that is what my review is based on. Don’t waste your money. The sound quality is fine and there is a decent sound library that can be used in sleep mode, but the battery life is garbage. What is the point of being able to set an alarm linked to the earbuds, if they die hours before the alarm would go off? I read through the Soundcore responses here and the troubleshooting guide and have already tried their suggestions - they don’t help. It says that there should be a 10 hour battery life in Sleep Mode (volume at 50%) and mine don’t last 6 with the volume at about 25-30%.

      About the battery life:
      - Playtime in music mode is up to 6 hours at 50% volume.
      - Playtime in sleep mode is up to 10 hours at 50% volume.
We also recommend you try the following tips:
      - Fully charge your earbuds.
      - Turn on the smart switch, and the earbuds will enter sleep mode after detecting the user has fallen asleep, which can prolong battery life.

I have documented your information and would forward it to our product team for further improvement. You know, a perfect product requires several improvements per the customer's voice and we always strive to improve our products. Appreciate your voice on this!

Battery wil only last 6 hours fully charged. Not recommend if you are a light sleeper. You will wake up as soon as the battery dies. Only neat feature is you can use as bluetooth headphones with decent sound quality.
