Really good but not yet fantastic sleep buds

These are great sleeping aids. The buds are low profile and work very well for side sleepers. They don’t hurt my ears in the morning like my regular buds do, and they don’t fall out. Plus, their noise isolation even when not in white noise mode are very good. However, you should wait to purchase the upgraded A20, since those are coming out shortly (May 2024). One of the best features, in my opinion, is the built-in alarms for sleep mode. This is the only way to get an audible alarm to sound in your earbuds for waking up. Even after owning these for quite a while, I’m still surprised when the alarm goes off that it’s not an alarm in the room with me. I "forget" that I’m wearing buds by the morning and I wake up looking for an alarm clock! However, the downside to the alarms: You only get three alarms. And you cannot easily change the time–you have to delete the alarm and create a new one if you need to change the alarm time. The sound quality of the A10s are quite good, especially considering the fact that they are mainly designed for sleep noise, not audio streaming. The audio quality isn’t on par with your high-end earbuds, but it’s quite good enough for listening to music or a podcast or watching video before sleeping. Cons: ❯ Battery life isn’t great. If you plan to mask noise all night long, your battery might run out of juice, and then you’ll be woken up with the low battery audio indicator. That’ll be upsetting if you were planning to sleep in! The upcoming A20 promises to extend battery life even more. ❯ Bluetooth connection stability isn’t great. I would often start off streaming audio from my phone while watching a video before switching to Sleep mode. However, the connection would often drop or become distorted and I would have to reset the buds in the case and reinsert them to continue. At times this was bad enough that I seriously considered returning them. But I did appreciate their utility as a sleep aid, so I kept them. Also, there is a noticeable lag in the streaming, so if you’re watching a movie, you may get distracted by the lack of sync between actors’ lips and the words they’re speaking. This isn’t a deal breaker, but an annoyance. ❯ Sleep sounds via the built-in library are limited. I was hoping for some binaural beats or customizable EQ for brown noise, or blending multiple sounds (like myNoise). So, sometimes I use my preferred noise generator and stream the audio, but that means lower battery life and the usual Bluetooth stability issues during streaming. The buds are most reliable when in Sleep mode and using the on-board sleep sounds. I hope that with the release of the A20 the sound library gets improved. ❯ The sleep monitoring and reporting is unreliable. I would often check my sleep stats to see when the buds clocked my deep sleep and wakefulness patterns, but very often I found that it mis-recorded my actual sleep times, and sometimes was missing whole days. I stopped even looking at the sleep reports after a while. All in all, while I have occasional frustrations due to Bluetooth reliability, the alarm interface, the untrustworthy sleep pattern reports, and battery life, I’m glad I bought the A10 version and look forward to the release of the A20.

    The App/Software ruins these

I have been looking for a replacement for my Bose Sleepbuds ever since they finally gave up the ghost after years of faithful service. These are better than those in a few regards, but an absolute failure of execution in others that make these incredibly frustrating to use. Fit and comfort is Awesome! These beat the snot out of the comfort of the sleepbuds, I can barely tell I am wearing them. Super comfy, and do not budge at all, where as my old ones would fall out of my ear in the middle of the night, and come with so many tips you will find one that works for you. In terms of fit these are absolutely 10/10. The sound library, while a bit more limited, is great as well! Masks sound even better than my old Bose ones ever did, also an absolute 10/10. Now here is why I can only give these 2 stars. The app and general ease of use. My old Bose Sleepbuds had a mode where you could just set a sound, and it would remember it and start the sound up when removed from the case. I did not need an app to switch it over from Music mode to Sleep mode every single time I want to use these. I didn't need the app for more than a minute of setup ONCE in the years I owned them. I don't want a dumb app that I have to open up every single day to switch them from the completely pointless "Music Mode" to sleep mode each night. I know they have the double tap option to switch them over, but the touch commands trigger when they come in contact with my sleep mask that also covers my ears, so that is not an option. These aren't even that good for music, since the music mode battery life is a joke. I could not find anything in any of the manuals or threads online for anything to permanently keep these in sleep mode. I do not care to keep the app on my phone, I do not need the sleep tracker feature since my watch does that better. I just want a pair of sleep earbuds that I can pop in my ears in a few seconds without needing to interact with my phone that I generally keep on the opposite side of my room at night, and lay down and go to sleep with the same white noise audio every evening.

    Pretty Good Sleep Option

I can't tell you the number of sleep earphones I've tried...everything from a headband with flat speakers in them to Kokoon nightbuds. I can't speak to the app or its functionality as I only use these strictly as a means to listen to my Calm app. However, the comfort of these are some of the best I've tried. They're small enough, and have enough fitment options, that they work for me, even as a side sleeper. The only issue I seem to have, is that they don't seem to stay paired with my phone. I will lose connectivity with one side or the other. I end up having to take the offending bud out, put back in the charger, and when I remove it, it pairs up again. So, these aren't 100% reliable for me but still one of the better options I've tried.

So glad you love the product! Thank you for your support. We promise to continue striving to exceed your expectations!

Please note that this doesn't necessarily mean there's an issue with the earbuds, so check your
connected devices and surroundings. Bluetooth signals may be influenced by obstructions, such as walls, pillars, home appliances, Wi-Fi, and more. To ensure a stable connection for these earbuds, we recommend avoiding such obstructions and use in an indoor environment.

To fix this issue, try the following:

      1. Fully charge and reset your earbuds as stated below and repair them.
Place the earbuds in the charging case and leave the case open. Press and hold the button on the
charging case for 10 seconds until the LED indicators on the case flash white 3 times and then flash in sequence. This confirms that the reset was successful and your earbuds can be connected normally.
      2. Make sure you're wearing the earbuds correctly.
      3. Try another set of ear tips and ear wings in a different size.
Please note that if the earphones are too deep in your ears, it may affect the Bluetooth signal. Try
larger sizes to reduce the in-ear depth of the earbuds, which may improve the connection stability.
      4. Check the earbuds by listening to a downloaded song/video if you're using them in music mode.
      5. Check the earbuds with another Bluetooth device in a different environment to see if there's a difference.

I have been wearing foam earplugs to sleep for over a decade due to sleep issues post military service. I decided to give these a try to have some relaxing sound to sooth anxiety. Sound is good enough, can use them before sleeping for some video playback then switch to sleep mode for the included sound machine style sound. The sleep tracker is pretty inaccurate for me as when I'm laying there trying to fall asleep it often counts it as light sleep so that function is a wash for me. The small size is great though for sleeping and these not getting hung up on the pillow and falling out. I would also like to see anc but knowing how anc affects battery I can understand why it's ommited on these. I'd also like to see some foam ear tips as that would further attenuate ambiant noise.

    Silences the Snoring Spouse

I have been using the Bose Sleepbuds for the past 2+ years. When they died and I learned they were discontinued, I panicked! I did land on these A10s after careful research of some others. The good: I'm a side sleeper and they're comfortable. I mainly have these due to a snoring wife. And, these buds do an AWESOME job blocking out her snoring. I don't hear it at all and I would hear it a bit w/ the Bose. These do NOT have active noise cancellation and rely on a proper, snug fig to tightly seal out the snoring. I was able to get an easy, tight fit without any fuss. There are 4 sizes included and they pop on/off quite easily. You can also run any of your bluetooth apps through it. This is a HUGE win over the Bose as the Bose would only allow sounds pre-loaded in the app. I have not realized any of the connection issues found in other reviews. I may just be lucky so far. Con: The only draw back, and this is kind of a big one. The batteries do NOT last 10 hours in sleep mode. Nope. They are dead every time I wake up in the morning. I'd wager you get about 7 hours. I find this a little annoying because of said snoring during possible sleep in days! Overall, I recommend them, but I am disappointed in the battery life and that's the -1 star!

I hate these so much!! I live among the noise of a downtown metro area and just wanted a peaceful and comfortable nights sleep. I must keep my windows open because I can’t afford to run the a/c and closed windows make me feel claustrophobic anyway. The sound quality is not bad at all and they are quite comfortable. What drives me insane however, is the fact that they constantly lose connection. This is beyond frustrating!! I will be all nice and relaxed listening to my soothing night time sounds and out of nowhere, the sound just cuts out of the right earbud! Sometimes it reconnects after a second and then the left ear will disconnect, maybe never to return. Sometimes turning off and back on Bluetooth will solve the issue and another time it won’t. Same goes for taking the earbud out of the ear and putting it back in. Sometimes both buds will just stop responding. Sometimes putting them back in case works to revive them, sometimes it doesn’t help at all. This type of behavior might be acceptable for a $50 pair of earbuds, but I would expect these to be much more cooperative for $150. I really wanted to return them but I missed the return window by a day. I would not recommend buying these unless you don’t care about only being able to hear half sound, don’t mind hearing sound in only one ear, or aren’t easily frustrated by such things as I am. Maybe also not a big deal if $150 is pennies to you, but to me $150 is significant.

These are awesome little earbuds. The bass is great the clarity is on point, comfortable, good noise cancellation. The only thing im not as happy with is that when you take them out they keep playing music so you have to pause it manually to stop them from playing. But for the price and quality im not going to give this a bad score for that. These are tiny and fit so comfortably that i feel you should buy them and hear what im saying

Initial impressions were very positive; comfortable even when side sleeping, good sound quality and noise isolation and adequate battery life for its specific purpose. But after only about 2 months of use, there are regular issues with volume asymmetries not related to earbud battery charge or device audio settings. I’ve tried all the usual fixes for potential connectivity issues but without resolution. So now I only get adequate volume from one earbud which is quite disappointing. Can’t recommend these given this performance, especially given the premium price.

I noticed you have done some troubleshooting, it would be greatly appreciated if you could help us confirm what you have tried was this:

      - Use a Q-tip with a bit of rubbing alcohol to gently clean the metal mesh filter under the rubber ear tips. This is best done when sound is playing through your earbuds at max volume.
      - Reset the earbuds: Place the earbuds in the charging case and leave the case open. Press and hold the button on the charging case for 10 seconds until the LED indicators inside the case flash white 3 times and then flash in sequence. This confirms that the reset was successful and your earbuds can be connected normally.

I purchased these to replace a set of Bose SleepBuds 2 that died. Just like the Gen1 Bose SleepBuds had problems, so do these, and I do not recommend their purchase. My issues: - The Bose Sleepbuds had a "Phone Free Mode" where they would simply turn on when removing them from the case, and play your selected sound until you returned them to the case or the battery died. These require the use of your phone every single time, even if you put them in "Sleep Mode" on the previous use. - The tips are standard silicone earbud tips. For side-sleepers, the pressure my head put on them caused the opening in the end to collapse shut, blocking the noise from the earbuds. (The Bose tips had a wider opening.) At that point, I'm just wearing a pair of really lousy earplugs. - For me, the right bud had a problem where the volume would go low after a couple minutes. Pausing and restarting the sound would fix the issue. That said, they were sufficiently-comfortable, secure in my ears, and the included sound library was fine. I didn't have any battery-life issues over the short time I tried them. I think if they clean up the software, and use more-suitable tips, these could be a winner. I'll probably try again when they revise the product. This is a hard sort of product to make (given the strict constraints on product size, the need for a specific sleep-focused design, and long battery life) so kudos for trying.

I am extremely pleased with these sleep buds! I’ve been contemplating this purchase for a good six months, and really did not want to spend big money on the Bose. And I’m really glad I went this route! I’m a relatively small person and I’m unable to sleep in any position except for on my side, and was able to sleep comfortably with no issues with full pressure on my ears while these were in. I saw a lot of reviews about issues with the app and connectivity, which I have not experienced. In fact, the app was incredibly simple to use, and had an awesome variety of sleep sounds which was my number one priority. I loved being able to use the sleep mode where it turns off after two hours, and all I need to do is quickly double tap the right bud when I want to reactivate. The absolute most important thing to me is that I remain able to hear if an emergency situation were happening around me as I live alone, so noise canceling is not an option, and these work perfectly. I bought these specifically to travel with, but I’ll very likely use these on the daily

Love hate relationship again. These are very comfortable to sleep in. The sound quality is great to me buttttt there re days they loose connection easily. I am not far from my phone. It is on the night stand next to me or in the bed with me. I don’t know why they randomly do this. It sucks because when they work I love them So proceed cautiously or maybe do more to test connectivity before your 14/30 day period for exchange. Maybe I just got a bad set

These are hands-down, the best sleeping earbuds I’ve ever used. They’re comfortable and they don’t usually slip out of my ear. After having them for over a year, I lost one (Or my cat took it) And I will definitely replace it with a new pair. I stopped using the sound Function as it either kept me awake or would run out of batteries quickly. But for blocking out sound and sleeping, they work excellent.

I like that it turns off automatically. I also like that I'm able to play music from my other apps(Spotify). I like the way it fits perfectly in my ears and doesn't bother me when sleeping sideways(it did took me 2 days to get use to it). Downside of it is that from time to time one of the earbuds gets disconnected so you will need to plug it back in to the case and then pull it out to reconnect. Over all good product and remember its for sleeping so the volume is not so high. It only cancels about 80% of the background noise so you can still here a lot of other noises around.

I had the Bose Sleepbud II model for the past 3 years. My Sleepbuds finally gave out and I needed to find a replacement since Bose no longer makes the Sleepbuds. Based on reviews, I gave these Soundcore A10's a try. They are built well and have a very nic charging case. The software used with them is nice, if a bit confusing at first. Choice of masking sounds is very large. The biggest software issue was you have to reset your alarm for the bud daily. Stupid, but not the end of the world. The buds fit nicely and have a ton of different size options for the wings and ear plugs. Overall a nice product EXCEPT for the battery life. In the 3 years I had the Bose product, the alarm on the sleepbuds never failed to go off. With these, I was late for work twice in one week because the alarm failed to go off. It wasn't that I failed to set it, it was that the batteries on the buds died during the night. I stopped using the alarm with them. I tried all sorts of methods to extend the batteries, without luck. The right bud had a battery that would last about 6-7 hours at best. Most nights it was less. I never got more than 3 hours out of the left bud. I use the noise masking function and after 3 hours would only get it out of one bud. When I checked the app, it showed the battery level was zero on the left bud. I had high hopes for these, but they are being returned. If they can't get through the night, they are no use to me. One bud couldn't get through half a night. Soundcore has a Kicksarter active for the next generation of these. I hope they address the battery issues or those will be just as disappointing.

Takes it a bit to get used to sleeping with these in, but once you get used to it they’re incredibly comfortable. The best part about these is that you can actually listen to your own music! The audio quality is great for this price point, especially with how well the bass is tuned. Even with the bassup enabled it doesn’t overpower the highs and mids. The app is super easy to navigate as well. Reccomend 100%

Absolutely awful, not worth anywhere near the retail price. Got them on sale hoping that they would be a decent replacement for the more expensive soundoff sleep buds that broke after a couple years. These buds are worth 40 dollars at most but since they're niche sleep buds they jack up the price. The app functionality is abysmal. Out of the box there were already issues with the app recognizing the buds were connected. You have to individually load the sounds which claims to take 40 seconds but sometimes ended up taking nearly 5 minutes then would not even be loaded after completing the process as it would still show the previous sound. There is no way to exit the app other than to force stop. The size of the buds are nice and they are very light but if side sleeping they create too much pressure making it so you mostly hear your own heart and not the white noise - never had that issue with soundoff sleep buds. 2 stars because they do offer a variety of sizing and the feature of having an alarm sound from the buds is neat but overall would not recommend these.
