Mini theater @home, that is how i would describe this. When it comes to Bose, we have no doubt about the quality and performance. This is definite value for money. Firstly, easy to install/connect the speakers. Next, configuring takes some effort but that definitely is worth the time spent. The speakers tune/adjust the acoustics to 5 different points in your living room which is one amazing. You get the right effect and clarity wherever you sit, unlike other home theaters where the best audio output is heard only at one or two places. Lots of features on this system that will take more than a weeks play time. Over all amazing product!!!

This system has excellent home theater sound but lacks the top quality you expect from Bose when it comes to music. Not to say it is bad because it is not. The mid-range reproduction just isn't quite what I would expect from a Bose system in this price range. After I had installed the system I tried connecting a Netflix FireStick....wouldn't work. Called customer service to find out that "The FireStick is not compatible to the Bose system". Long story short....It is compatible. If you plan to use a FireStick you will need to connect it into the game port. Customer service was the weakest link with the product. Overall .....very satisfied...great sound from a great product.

What could I possibly say about perfection? Since I purchased my first Bose system almost 30 years ago, it has only gotten better. Adding "soundtouch" was iceing on the cake! Although expensive, this system delivers high quality surround sound. The Bose AdaptiQ audio calibration system is great for calibrating the surround based on listening points. I am a real person with a real budgit and I can honestly say I have never once regretted any of my Bose purchases.

Before choosing this Bose system, I had looked at all manners of sound bars and finally settled with this. It is sooo easy to instal and works itself seamlessly into the whole system and transforms sound your TV into room filling rich sound.

Not really exceptional.works better then average systems at high volumes would.there isn't any distortion.i haven't cranked it all the way up though.but not really a need too either.i hate the fact that at what it cost me, it only specializes in regular doby digital, dts, pcm and lpcm.it has 4k passthrough, which means that higher sources of Dolby and dts technology were out at the time.why would Bose not put them into this system?its like they are always one step behind everyone else in this regard.now there are newer Bose systems out that have a higher version of Dolby and dts intergraded into the system, but it's still not the highest versions out.one of which is dolby atmos.but the new Bose systems can range anywhere from $1440 (which is what I paid for mine) to $3000.so why wouldn't they have the latest technology in them for that price?especially when a lot of 4k movies utilize Dolby atmos and the other latest technologies.

Great Surround Sound @ A Great Price!

After doing a lot of research I decided to go with the Bose Soundtouch 520 System. If you have done any price comparisons in the past you probably already know that typically Bose speakers are not the best option if you are shopping on a budget. Unless you are just trying to get one of the many $400.00 soundbar systems (that do not provide true 5.1 surround sound) the price point for this system is very reasonable. Price out a receiver, 4 surround speakers, a center channel speaker, subwoofer, and all component and speaker wiring and you will probably exceed the price of this unit. Because the unit uses HDMI, Fiber, or Component Connections, in most cases the system will be easy to connect to your existing system with no additional cabling required (you will just route your current cables differently between the components). This system is very easy to install, has minimal settings (as the system configures itself to your room), and takes up barely any space. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I would like to get more room shaking bass from the subwoofer but don't let my sound preferences affect your purchase as this unit will produce enough bass for most people to be completely satisfied.

Am writing this review so that people who are considering buying this home theatre should reconsider their decision. After incurring about $700 on installation which consisted of $200 for the proprietary wall mounts, $50 for the proprietary rear speaker wire (I needed 80Ft.), and $450 for installation of mounts and concealment of wires, all I get to hear from the system is only vocals from the right front and rear speakers. From the remaining three speakers all I could hear is the background music / noise. So far as I understand that's not how a surround sound system is supposed to work. Because of the above issue, I called up the customer support service and having spent close to 2 hours on the call with them we reached the conclusion that the console/receiver was faulty and Bose agreed to provide me with a replacement console. The replacement console arrives after 4 days and after connecting it would not let me do the setup and displayed an error message "Accoustimass Cannot Be Located". I called up the customer support again and after about spending an hour on the call (connecting/disconnecting/reset the system) we reached the conclusion that accoustimass needs to be connected through a cable to the console even though it's supposed to work wireless. Am still waiting for the cable to arrive and don't know if the system will function as it is supposed to. I wish to return the system but I guess cannot as everything is mounted on the walls and not to mention $700 incurred on the installation. It's shocking to see the quality of Bose products degrade so much. Prior to this I had Harmon Kardon surround sound system which lasted 8 years and still runs with no trouble and the only reason I replaced it was to upgrade to newer technology...I shouldn't have.

I replaced a 10 year old system w/ this Bose system and couldn't have been happier. I only wished the rear speakers were wireless but Bose does provide a good size wire to accommodate. I also bought the matching stands from Bose and I'm even happier looks great!!!

Sound system , surround system, sun woofer overall product was excellent. But worse part was it comes with lot of wiring. Even rare speakers we have to wiring from from main console which was carp. As my opinion rare speakers should come wires less.
