    Good, Almost Great Release

Most of this presentation in 4K is excellent. Even for being an upscale, the improvement across the sound mix, colors, grain field, and detail are all very good and worth the upgrade. But bear in mind that there are a couple of scenes in which the entire picture goes full 'watercolor painting.' In these brief instances, detail and film grain is *entirely* scrubbed from the picture. While these scenes are relatively brief, it's mainly the jarring shift that is most bothersome/distracting. Unfortunate that this wasn't fixed by the studio. It's still an otherwise great upgrade and I would consider it worth owning, but just keep that in mind.

    A Stylish, Well Crafted Thriller

Source Code is an exhilarating movie. It is fast paced, without losing a deep story and emotional connection. The movie puts it's main character in a tense scene, having to find a person who is about to blow up a train. It throws the character(played by Jake Gyllenhaal very well) back into this scene over and over again, with small conversations in between. The story is complex and emotional. It lets Jake's character expand and deepen, and the supporting cast is great. The special effects are well done, and the whole tone keeps you on the edge of your seat. Surprisingly, there is no campy dialogue (something I was expecting from the previews) and it is actually a superb script, making conversations interesting, and later scenes racked with emotion. The whole movies is very great, leaving you excited by its presentation and quality in every aspect in it. The idea to replay a scene over and over again is executed really well, and makes the film very exciting. It is the first truly great film of 2011. I recommend it, to everyone.

Source Code packs quite an emotional punch and, during the final act especially, has a lot to say about the human condition. Its adroit script, sure direction and great performance by Gyllenhaal raise it above the average thriller.

Looking for new films I never seen. Just bought this recently and I’m glad I did! The story is somewhat short but the storyline is really interesting. Without giving away too much it’s a individual hero soldier’s unique mission.

This is an enjoyable movie to watch. It has a very good story line that keeps you guessing. The concept of the movie is good. The special effects were very good. The picture quality in 4K is very good as well.

It's an interesting movie. If you have never seen it before, then you will be wondering what's going on the entire time. This movie is basically Groundhog day for a movie with more action.

It’s a really fun movie. I have no clue how it escaped me for years. I love the cast and it’s a fun concept. It could have done more but it also could have done a lot worse.

Big fan of this movie. The picture quality on the 4K doesn’t seem to be much of an improvement but I love this movie anyway and don’t regret upgrading from the Blu-ray.

Good action sci-fi movie with an ending twist. Courtesy a government experiment in time travel, Jake Gyllehaal's character has to relive 8 minutes over and over until he finds a terrorist threating to denote a dirty bomb in downtown Chicago.

Duncan Jones provides a blockbuster with brains

It might not be as brilliant as Duncan "Son of Bowie" Jones' first film, the Sam Rockwell-starring sci-fi classic "Moon," but "Source Code" is the type of blockbuster we don't see often: one with brains. The plot is relatively straightforward... or so you think, until Jones starts adding in layer after layer of further intrigue. You'll have figured out the ending before the movie gets there, but you'll be having enough fun by that point that you won't care, and you likely won't see exactly how all the pieces fit into place until the final moments, anyway. It lacks the class and layers of "Moon," perhaps, but it'll put just as big of a smile on your face.

If you liked Edge of tomorrow and Deja Vu, you will like this one. Same concept, less bold, but still effective, and with a sweet ending.

Jake Gyllenhaal delivers in this time travel movie. Well acted, great action, fun effects make the movie a winner. Definitely worth the high definition of Blu-ray. You should pick it up if you are a fan of this kind of Sci-fi movie.
