Started with the “Stick Of Truth” and a 3 part episodes on South Park that waged war among the video game consoles, separating the kids into two kingdoms. Winter was indeed coming and the new kid had to choose what side he was on meanwhile learning how to fight and survive with the help of southpark. You have a Back stabbing, walking through a rose garden, princess Kenny. It was just like watching a long a-$$ episode of Southpark. You played the new kid that kept the story going. Made you really feel like part of that universe. After the kids the help of the new kid saved the world and banished the stick of truth....they all got tired of playing medieval fantasy action so they changed over to super heroes. Then another 2-3 episode on southpark lead to a “Fractured But Whole”. After they started a civil war among them breaking the Two factions fighting for a spot on Net-flix. If they would decide what’s best for the franchise and push forward they would be millionaires. But inner squabbling and back stabbing means that the new guy has to choose sides again. This time while learning his inner super power. Will the kids succeed? The next game if they decide to make another in the series is better than the first and also comes included in the package as a bonus for those who missed it or want to relive the first story free on specific packaging. But regardless of that, no spoilers because I haven’t finished yet. Buy South Park: The Fractured But Whole. You won’t regret it. Rated M for mature.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole once again completely succeeds in immersing the player in the hilarious world of the eponymous TV show, this time focusing on the kids establishing Cartman's superhero movie franchise. Out are the capes and staffs and in are the masks and colourful tights. You once again play as the New Kid who gets sucked in the thick of it: fighting sixth graders, farting on strippers and gathering allies. All characters feel authentic and the jokes are on point. As an actual video game, The Fractured But Whole improves greatly upon its predecessor. Combat is now grid-based and feels more strategic; costumes are more varied and more numerous and bonuses from artifacts are very noticeable. The story is perhaps the one aspect that isn't necessarily better than that in Stick of Truth. While its better paced and more coherent, it lacks some ridiculousness and scale of the last, making it ultimately more forgettable. As a verdict, the game is a must-buy if you loved the first game or are a fan of the show who for some reason didn't get the chance to play Stick of Truth. This game will satisfy you if you thought the TV show was a bit lacking lately, even if it draws some of its humour from some of the later seasons' inside jokes.

The sequel to one of the best comedy games ever continues the raunchy, crazy humor from the TV series. Picking up after season 20 of the show, continuing from the previous game, you are The New Kid, still king after your victory in The Stick of Truth. However, The Coon (Cartman) discovers a massive crime wave of missing cats, and cuts your reign short to shift to the superhero genre. You must now embark on a quest to fight crime with your superhuman farts, encountering Member Berries, PC Principal, Crab People, and choosing a side in the kids’ “Civil War”. The humor and writing is top notch and the graphics perfecting capture the essence of the show. The only flaw with the game is you must be a fan of the show, and have watched previous seasons to get a lot of the jokes. Other than that, it’s a perfect game from one of the best TV series in history.

This game is great and is a really well done sequel to the stick of truth. If your a fan of South Park you will most likely love the experience they've created. The battle system has been expanded / evolved from the first game. The turn based combat is a lot of fun and the characters all have hilarious banter and super power capabilities. I don't think it had quite as many crazy moments as the first game but there are still plenty of quintessential South Park moments to be had. Overall I highly recommend it for being a great mash-up of everything South Park fans love and just being a fun time to memba.

This game takes off immediately after the events of Stick of Truth, in fact it'll be noticed in the opening moments of the game. The characters decide to go the super hero route this time, forming a franchise called "Coon and Friends", in search of their main Netflix TV series. Fractured builds upon the elements of the first game, and the big improvement is in its battle system, which now feels like a Fire Emblem game instead of Paper Mario. Granted Ubisoft decided to develop this title in house (instead of using Obsidian like the first game), but this game is incredibly polished. All of the characters and jokes are present, particularly characters in the later series. If you love South Park, you should do yourself a favor and play this game. Then again you probably already have by now.

I had so much fun playing this game. It plays like a whole season of South Park and is just fun enough to stay interesting in between story missions. The game itself is not especially difficult; it's really about experiencing the story. I've watched South Park for a while and I still love the show, but if you're not into South Park or only have a passing interest then this game probably isn't for you. That probably goes without saying, but it's worth mentioning because the gameplay itself is just okay. The story and the amount of things to do more than makes up for it though.

If you love offensive politically incorrect humor, the Stick of Truth, and the show then you will love this game! Much like the last game this is a 20 hour episode of South Park, this time taking on the behemoth comic book movie industry and current socio political atmosphere. The graphics are phenomenal and look identical to the show. The combat system was changed up for a simplified X-COM or Mario-Rabbids style of combat. It's very effective and rewarding. Over all if you loved the last one or the show you will love this game!

RPG fans who are also fans of South Park will truly enjoy this entertaining adventure. However, those who are general fans of turned-based RPGs and appreciate the style of humor South Park brings to the table will also enjoy this game. For those that have played a Stick of Truth, this game is an improvement, but does not change much since a Stick of Truth was a solid foundation. I highly recommend this game to anyone who is a South Park fan or is in need of a humorous and sometimes crude adventure.

I am having so much fun with this game. I haven't even been focused on the main story. It is fun just to run around looking in people's houses and seeing what items you can find. The game play is very similar to the stick of truth, but looks so much better with the Xbox one than the 360. It's a nice bit that they start the game continuing the first episode of the season in ways. If you enjoyed the stick of truth or are just a fan of the franchise, then you should really like this game.

You don't need to be a hardcore fan of the show to enjoy this or Stick of Truth; I'm a casual watcher at best, yet I absolutely love the games! Combat in this one is definitely improved over its predecessor, I really liked the changeover to superheroes and the recurring digs at DC and Marvel! The story runs out of steam a bit as it gets close to the end, but I enjoyed the game all the way through nonetheless.

Ok, South Park Studios have always pushed the envelope. From the TV pilot of Santa vs Jesus, to the movie (Bigger, Longer, and Uncut), to their take on all the social issues of the day. I never played the Stick of Truth, so can't comment about the differences between these two games, but I found the character creation aspects very interesting. Especially your interactions with Mr. Mackey and PC Principal. It was very fun to play, and can't wait for the DLCs to come out.

Goes without saying since this is a South Park game it's not for the kiddies...much like The Stick of Truth it's a twisted hilarious voyage thru South Park and all its zany characters, with plenty of innuendo and pokes at modern-day issues. The inclusion of Stick of Truth and getting it on sale WITH the gamer's club bonus netted me this brand new game for $16. Can't be beat! Can't wait to keep playing and find out if Terrance and Philip are REAL Canadians!

"The Fractured But Whole" is a perfect sequel to 2014's "The Stick of Truth", that carries forward the amazing writing and general faithfulness to South Park of the original game, but furthers the story, improves the battle system and manages to feel completely fresh. I logged about 25 hours on my file before completing the game, which felt like the perfect length. Can't wait for the DLC coming out in the coming months to keep the game alive!

If you've played the Stick of Truth then you'll know what to expect. Turn based combat, exploration, minor puzzle solving and a mountain of South Park-style humor and callbacks to the series. If you're a South Park fan, it's a must buy. For anyone else...well, the humor here might turn you off as a decent amount are lowbrow (let's say toilet humor) jokes. But if you'd like to turn your brain off for a bit and enjoy, I heartily recommend it.

I have been a big South Park fan since the early days. I also loved Stick of Truth. That being said, this game is more of the same, ie awesome. The story doesn't feel as epic as Stick of Truth, but all the humor is there, along with lots of easter eggs for fans of the show. They did a nice job of switching up the combat and expanding the town to make the game feel fresh and not just DLC for Stick of Truth. I highly recommend this game.

You don't have to be a fan of rpgs to get enjoyment out of this game. I have a feeling this game will introduce a lot of people to rpgs that normally wouldn't play them. The game is just as funny as an episode of the TV series but many times longer. As an added bonus there is a download code for the first South park game that can be played on xbox one. You are getting 2 really long South park rpgs for the price of one.

This is a nice continuation, but twist, of the original South Park: The Stick of Truth. The first game was hilarious and a great call back to years of South Park history. This game continues in that vein, but has a very good story line to go with it - mocking the super hero movie boom. The best part of this game is that it really is like kids playing super heroes, but reality interjects periodically, which is a nice touch.

Every time I play this game I find myself laughing harder and harder then before. There is alot of crude humor just like the show and the game play is a blast to play! Playing the game acts like your'e watching a 10 hour South park special staring your custom made character. The only downside to this game that i really see is that your character doesn't say a word. Other then that the fractured But whole is a joy to play!

Fun game. Not as funny as I was hoping. But its a great low intensity RPG. I am excited to try The Stick of Truth, since I have heard that one is better. Really only making a review to say that as of 01/28/19, the free code for The Stick of Truth still worked for me. Despite the case, and the piece of paper in the box, saying it expired 01/31/18.

As of writing this review, the code included, the one for The Stick of Truth -- the Xbox One version, not the backwards compatible Xbox 360 version -- still works. If you get this game on sale, getting both games for a low price is a great deal. I do think The Stick of Truth is the better of the two games, but The Fractured But Whole is no slouch. Easy recommendation when it's on sale.
