The Stick of Truth is one of those games that's unique for a lot of reasons, and for good reasons, too. The game is very loyal to the source material, for one. In fact, it looks a lot like an episode of the show even when you're playing it. All the main characters are there in some capacity, and you have quite a few options for companions along the way. The writing is hilarious and the storyline is actually pretty interesting, all things considered. Fans of the show are going to enjoy this, even if they aren't the most die-hard fans. I'm not exactly a loyal viewer but I've seen enough episodes here and there to understand the majority of references in the game. It just makes the game that much more enjoyable, but it isn't a necessity to enjoy it in general. I only have a couple of complaints about it, and both are pretty minor issues. First, you can only have one companion at a time, and since you play as an original character, that means only one main character appears at a time in-battle (but they can be swapped back and forth in and out of battle). Second, the game is pretty short, especially for an RPG. There are plenty of side missions and collectibles, but not enough to extend the length by all that much. What is there is highly enjoyable, though, making this well worth the time and money (just maybe not full price).

I am a south park fan and felt everything about the game was awesome. The game plays like a turn based strategy when in battle (think the first 2 paper mario's) which i like. It might not be everyone's cup of tea tho. The game has an open world that isn't that big but good enough for this game. The story was written by the creators of south park so any fan should enjoy. As a fan the references are what make this awesome just all the little things you see that make you think back to what episode that was in is just pure awesomeness. All in all i give the game a five for fans of the show and fans of the gameplay style but be warned it is not for everyone.

For anyone who is a true South Park fan, you must own this. Not as much as owning all the seasons on Blu Ray, but at least own this. If I had a system I could play it on in my house, I would own it for myself. I bought this for my brother and we played it together. It was hilarious. He tells me the ending is to die for.

Typically TV to videogame projects do not deliver the magic that they should. Well this isn't one of them! You can tell that the creators worked closely with the developers to provide an amazing South Park experience. Somehow they packed almost all jokes and themes from all the seasons into one project! It's like a playable movie. The game play is solid and provides the ability to level up different characters, weapons, and armor. There are a ton of collectibles in this game that will give you a chuckle even if they don't truly have any value. I guarantee any South Park fan will love this game for the sheer fact that you can walk around the town that you've watched for years! The only issue I had with this game is how short it is. It's about 10 - 12 hours if you are a completionist. Don't let that push you away from this game, however. It is well worth the money and I would recommend to any South Park. As you all should know, this IS for adults only. It gets pretty crude in some spots.

I was walking around Walmart last year and they had the collectors edition of this game (Grand Wizard Edition?) for $20 and I passed thinking this game was garbage to be priced so low so soon after release. Man was that a mistake! If you like or love South Park this is a must have. So much fun and great quotes from the show. I wish I would have gotten the other edition for the figure and the extra chars in game but either way its great. I am having a lot of fun with this one. The story line seems to not take a whole lot of time but there are side quests and what not to do. Very well worth the money.

The game play it self is not that great I guess compared to modern games. I like it due to its old school turn based RPG's. I also really enjoy the game itself. So many things will make you laugh out loud. If you are a South Park fan that is. This is the one game even my wife, who hates games, will watch while I play. She laughs just as hard as I do. I was going to sell my Xbox 360, but not now.....not til it dies. I will play and replay this game till the system is dead.

This game is a little bit less then I expected but the fun level is good and the humor of the show really plays through in the characters and quests. Overall I recommend this and it really is a fun time

If you are a fan of South Park, then this is the game for you. Funny story lines and great game play. May be a bit too adult for young kids.

This game is pure comedy. Get it and enjoy every minute of it. It looks like the show in every single way. Such an excellent game.

This game is a South Park fan's dream. The animation is drawn entirely from the show and it actually feels like you are playing within an episode. And they do not hold back any punches with the humor. If anything, the game goes where the show couldn't and I found myself laughing out loud quite a bit. The only reason I couldn't give this 5 stars is because it is a VERY short game. Especially for an rpg. Overall though, I highly recommend this game.

I've been a fan of South Park ever since it first came out. This game includes references to many of the most hysterical moments of the show during it's nearly 20 year run. However there are some things that are very graphic, and the language is, as well. So for teenagers and adults: great game! But if you're the parent of a preteen considering this, follow M17 rating and go with Sponge Bob instead. If you're a fan of the show, you will love this game!

Stick of Truth takes typical South Park humor, settings and characters and builds an RPG style game worthy of the Colorado kids' imagination. The game is like stepping into the show--the humor, story and gameplay all deliver. Fun from beginning to end.

Game kept me laughing the entire time. Graphics are what I expected. Not blown away but good. Replay value is what it does not have but that's with most games unless it has an amazing multiplayer. At the price it's at I gave it a try. I wouldn't pay full retail price for it thou.

This game made me laugh a lot while I played, and that has not happened in a long time. It really does feel like playing an episode of the show. That being said, just like the show this is definitely for adults and not kids. I was amazed how far they went with some of the gags, but that is South Park. Very fun, but not for the easily offended

It's like playing the complete series of South Park complete with all the Jokes that the TV show brings. Cameos by almost long forgotten characters make it a great trip down memory lane. Great control and appropriate graphics. I highly recommend this game.

Simply put, this is the best South Park video game to ever come out. After years of suffering through bad games, this is the first game that actually plays like you're watching the long running cartoon. My only negative complaint is that it's to short.

It really feels like you are in South Park. The game is kind of short but tons of laughs. Very true to the TV show. Fun, simple gameplay.

Great game. I haven't laughed that hard while playing a game in quite a long time. I'm going back through to play some other character choices. I usually hate turn based RPG games...but the style and humor made this game worth every minute. Somewhat repetitive at times in function...but as a series-long fan of South Park there's plenty of minor and major references for die-hard fans. Rated the graphics excellent not because they're ground-breaking...but they do exactly as the title implies...puts you into the show.
