Like extra hard, I was worried I was break the phone, I almost gave up. Once it is on, the buttons on the side don't work with a push. You really have to put a lot of pressure to get them to work. I'm going to have to return it and get another that it is easier to use.

Although once you put it on, please plan on keeping it on forever. Basically had to gouge it out with a butter knife and I broke two finger nails. Not a fun process if you ever want to remove it. Aesthetically pleasing for people who love a minimal design, although still terrified to drop my phone in this case. If you like tough, non flexible plastic to be on your phone forever this is the case for you! :)
