I've just carried it in a work bag and have not dropped it or any other major impact to cause the cracks. I'll need to buy a new case now.

I've tried a few of these out, specifically Speck brand, and although they fit my MacBook, once I close the laptop with the case on, the edged of the top of the laptop itself seem to not be fully touching the laptop as if the case is too tight and is warping the screen. Not sure what is going on there, but you can get better cases elsewhere. Would not recommend.

However, the quality is very poor. The plastic seems to be very brittle and weak. Within two weeks, a crack started forming on the lid, then a second. I returned it, now I’m noticing a crack forming on the new laptop cover. I am very gentle with my laptop. I’ve never taken it out of the house and I’ve never dropped or banged it. I am so disappointed! I wanted to love this laptop cover. At this point, I don’t want to waste my time with another exchange.
