I used this laptop for over a month now. It's powerful and lightweight too. Just the way I wanted it. I mainly grabbed it because of the GPU on it , but I haven't worked with its GPU capabilities yet. Will update my review once I get to evaluate its GPU performance. It has the full keyboard with numpad and hence letter keys are bit shifted towards left, so you might take some time to adjust with that little shift towards left. Sound quality didn't seem so good out of the box but when I changed audio settings to movie it was bearable. Still not completed satisfied by its sound. 4K screen is fantastic though. The lower bottom border of the screen can be made thinner I believe , its' bigger than rest of the borders not sure why. When in tablet mode and opened the browser, then clicked the address bar with that pen, it didn't pop-up the on-screen keyboard automatically like in iPad or any tablet, you have spring it open from lower bottom corner small icons, (not sure if it's laptop issue or windows 10 in tablet mode). Less fan noise which is good but it's too early to comment on fan noise since I haven't used it much. Comes with a leather sleeve which is kinda nice though but that pen is not magnetic hence can't be kept attached to the laptop like in surface so it can be lost easily.

Love this laptop. Super fast. Amazing crisp 4K display and good touch sensitivity. Love the flip-over convert to tablet mode. Thunderbolt/USB-C is also crazy fast! I'm thoroughly satisfied with this purchase.

Have only had this laptop for a month but has been great so far. The windows ten app screen is awesome! Very easy to find and use the settings. Like any new piece of technology it takes a bit to get use to it but it it pretty user friendly. I added a mouse to mine just because that’s what I’m use to but I also use the touch screen a lot. I find myself using both mouse and touch at the same time for certain things, this make searching really fast. The built in mouse pad works fine as well, personal preference. The face recognition is a little touchy sometimes depending on the lighting and the finger print button also but you have your passcode right there so between the three to me it’s fast and secure. This LT is incredible fast and very quiet! The only thing I would say that is not the greatest is the speakers sound a bit tinny if turned up loud but and a Bluetooth speaker and your set. Overall love it.

i thought there’s no way i need all these bells and whistles, but as an instructional designer, i really do appreciate all this laptop has to offer. i love the size and quality of the screen. i can create graphics while still seeing the entire deliverable im designing. no more squinting! i actually switched from a macbook, which i loved to the spectre. i work in articulate storyline 3, which is only PC-compatible. after using it for a bit now, even if i didnt have that software, i would still have switched. i love mac keyboards, but this is just a notch under that, so high, high praise for it. plus it has the number keypad on it as well, which is SO helpful! its fast, dependable, consistent and an all around solid buy.

I purchased this laptop for everyday use. I primarily use it for Microsoft Office and internet browsing, but I also have a few games on here as well. I love this laptop! It's super fast, no matter how many programs I have running or how many tabs I have open, nothing seems to slow it down. Although this is not a gaming computer, the games that I have on here run very smoothly, and the games that have ping my ping count is always on the lower side. The versatility with the 360 fold is also super cool. I tend to use this laptop as a laptop over putting it in tablet mode, but the fact that it does both is really fun and convenient in certain situations. This is the 4th laptop I've owned, and its by far the best machine I've had! Would definitely recommend!

I've had this laptop for just over 2 years now and it was well worth it. I used it daily for a year for 3-5 hrs at a time for school, the battery lasted a long time. The touch screen helped in the late hours when it came to taking quizzes/tests. For the past year I have been using this to mirror videos, workouts to my tv. I also recently started using the laptop for trying new recipes and being able to fold the laptop allows more counter space. The only thing that I don't like it there is no access to the battery. If the battery goes bad, I cannot replace it. I don't know how long this PC will last. Also, this was a bit more than I had planned to spend, but if I can get a few more years out of it then it will be worth it.

This is beautifully designed, has a great keyboard and trackpad, and a sharp HD display. I looked for over a year for a new laptop or desktop. I am so glad I waited because the Spectre x360 15" is perfect! I just bought a second one for my spouse.

( + ) Pros: - High quality build (aluminum and glass) - Sleek, thin design - Port selection - A+ hardware (8th gen intel quad core, 16gb ram, dedicated graphics and ssd) - Beautiful 4k display, and laptop as well - Tactile keyboard with satisfying keystrokes - No issues with linux or virtualization ( - ) Cons: - Meh battery (4k display eats through it like candy) - Fingerprint magnet - Touchpad is terrible. Disabling acceleration and increasing sensitivity remedied it for me, still disappointing - Charging port is loose - Hinge is looser than I expected and wobbles when utilizing the touchscreen All in all, I am more than happy with the purchase.

I bought this laptop after my tried and true desktop computer finally crashed after running 2 businesses off it for 6 years. I was devastated at the thought of having the daunting task of buying and choosing a new computer. It took me 2 days of shopping for a couple of hours each day in Best Buy to make my decision on the HP Spectre. Man, am I happy with it! It does everything I need it to do. It's lightening fast, sleek and beautiful. The keys are easy to press, the touchscreen is amazing and it's quite sturdy. I was hesitant to spend the $1,500 on a computer but it was worth it. I would definitely recommend this laptop as well as the wonderful, patient sales associates at Best Buy! I am very happy with my purchase and the help I received along the way from the Clearwater location.

I've had this Spectre for about 3 weeks now after a black Friday deal. It was expensive but with the BF savings at $999 including $100 off for using the BB card it was worth it. Fast, easy to set up, the 512 g SSD is unbelievable compared to regular hard drives. On the internet in about 15 seconds from turning it on. I was looking for a computer in the $600 range and they all seemed to be lacking in something, ex., RAM/Processor/Drive space. It comes with a pencil that I may never use and the features are great and software is kind of overkill for my use but the BF savings (from $1499) made it affordable for me. I hope it holds up but so far this is a great computer and I can see why it was so highly rated by prior purchasers.

Great laptop. Starts up very quickly. Easy to type on. Love the way it looks and the speed for which it computes. All my programs work great. Had some issue with it after 5 months and had to get a new mother board and screen but Best Buy fixed it so hopefully all is good.

First off, the reason for 4 stars is that HP did NOT resolve the "coil whine" issue as another reviewer had mentioned. It can be bothersome in a quiet environment. There is also (still) the scratchy/staticy noise that is induced by the graphics (changes to the graphics on the screen create various noises). It isn't just HP, however, since the Dell XPS also has the same problems. Other than that, the laptop has a nice set of features like an SD card slot (rather than microSD), a USB Type A port (rather than only USB Type C, of which it has 2), HDMI, 4K display, number pad, etc. It also comes with a pen, which is nice. Best Buy worked with us regarding problems with the previous gen model that was on clearance but had the above mentioned noises that HP tried to repair but couldn't (and then wrecked the touch pad!), so many kudos to Best Buy and their customer service. I give Best Buy 5 stars, but as a product review I give HP 4 stars because of the unresolved noise issues.

Went with the 15 inch vs. the 13 inch because I need more detail. My job involves IT work, the ability to remote in, video editing, database, and photo editing. The processor is fast, screen is rich and beautiful, machine is responsive, pen is great for markups, battery power is good, and boot up is speedy. LOVE the backlit keyboard! Two cons - extra weight (over the 13 inch model) which I expected and bloatware. Windows 10 is nice, but the time it takes to uninstall the unnecessary programs and the active tiles is a major pain. So far, this laptop has met expectations.

I prefer touch screen laptops that may convert into tablets (using a hinge). Overall, I have been very satisfied with this product. The robust processing power makes this laptop very fast and efficient. The graphics of this laptop are strong enough to support two external monitors, allowing for the use of three monitors at once. I am admittedly not a gamer. However, as a grad student, this 3-monitor setup has been invaluable when writing papers. The processing power is excellent and allows for rapid computing, downloads, and uploads. Would definitely buy again.

Ive been on the search for a better laptop for a while now. Loved my Toshiba Satellite and wish they still made it. But this was a great step up 4 years later. Old laptop wwas on the last legs and eventually crashed forcing me to upgrade. After careful research this is the one I bought. Amazing battery life for a 4k 15in laptop with an i7 and dedicated graphics. Obviously depends on how you use it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

There's a lot that can be said about this laptop that is great and very few things I dislike about it. Is extremely beautiful cosmetically but most of all what's under the hood is the most important. With an i7 processor and 16 gigs of memory and a 512 SSD drive it's hard to beat this laptop. I got this laptop on sale at the time of purchase for $600 off the original price. It's fast and extremely clear picture. I watch some 4K content on it and love it. happy with my purchase those for HP has did a great job with this laptop. I highly suggest you pick one up especially if it's on sale for decent price.
