    A Labor of Love

I was not fond of The Sixth Sense. I figured it out in five minutes and then had to keep biting my tongue as those I was watching it with kept making statements about the film. That didn't happen with Spiral. Sure there are plenty of hints. Any good mystery has to give you hints. Joel David Moore gives a wonderful performance that is alternately sympathetic and creepy. Amber Tamblyn shows that glow that turned Joan of Arcadia into an improbable TV hit. This is not a couple you'll find too many places. And it makes for a nicely tense film with a number of possibilities. The people who made this film really wanted to make it. Yes it's an independent, but it will give you what you come to a mystery for.

This was a really good movie, my wife and I loved! The plot is very twisted and keeps you guessing right up to the end. It was directed by Adam Green (Hatchet) and stars Joel David Moore (also in Hatchet). If you're a fan of psychological thrillers like Secret Window and Identity, then I think you'll like this movie. I highly recommend it! Also, some other similar movies I recommend are Trauma, Session 9, and The Machinist.
