WARNING: This gift card can only be applied to the standard single user Premium plan. You cannot apply it toward the Premium family plan. It is not a true gift card where the retailer treats it like cash to be used on anything they offer. Redemption is subject to their restrictions. I made the mistake of assuming it was like every other gift card. Now I am out $10 and cannot use because I am on a family plan. Spotify customer service suggests that I return it to the retailer (which I can't do because I already scratched off the code to attempt to apply it to my account) or to regift it. I am very disappointed in Spotify, their customer service, and for Best Buy for not making these redemption restrictions clear on their website.

since im out most of the time its good to have a card spotify so i can listen to music on my i-pod,it was the only way actually.

This gift card is only eligible for Spotify premium and not premium family and student. It does not work as credit to your premium family and student account and spotify will not make any exceptions. This is something that you have to read in the terms and conditions. Doesn't work like a Netflix gift card like I thought.
